Let me DELETE this. I can't even effectively disable it like other default apps- it comes back every update! Customization is pointless if you don't offer the feature of opting out. This app makes it too frustrating to put anything on my homescreens because flipping through the pages always launches briefing instead of letting me see the next set of useful apps. I've had this same issue for 3 phones and you're constantly updating so when will you get around to making the most basic functions?

Drainage on the battery, all the time. If you ever swipe on accident to the left,it stays running,even after task manager has tried to close it a thousand times. The news articles on it are not that in depth,and seems to be just another regurgitation of every other news channels reporting,but if you like click bait... even after force stopping it and trying to get rid of it. It doesn't matter. I guess that why it's on every single one of mine and my family's Samsung devices ,pls go away

Unwanted app that automatically started to download. Wouldn't have even seen it if it didn't have to wait for WiFi because it was too large to download over mobile data. STOP STEALING FROM OUR MOBILE DATA LIMIT WITH UNWANTED, UNUSED APPS. I have never used the app, and have no need or willingness to.

I like it, and yet... it's frustrating. Copying of articles is very hit-&-miss. I understand each article is from a wide range of different journals or media sources & each may impose their own policy on this. But I'm not interested in read-once-&-forget it... I save some useful material to folders as background research to which I want to refer later. Can't do that if I can't save the material in some kind of format. This isn't an unreasonable request. I'm not trying to re-publish it, I just want to be able to access it easily later: to use it as worthwhile info. If that isn't allowed I won't waste my time reading it in the first place.

This app is a quick way to get the news through the lens of a sensationalist. Opinions are not properly tagged as what they are. Instead, it is up to you to read between the lines to figure that out. To do this, you need to have yourself exposed to the sensational headlines, which influences your first impressions of the topic. As with all automatic news publishers, be critical of the underlying algorithm suggesting the articles.

This app feels like bloatware that no matter how many times I remove it, it comes back. If I ever click on the push notifications (THAT I DO NOT WANT BTW) It never takes me to the article that was displayed in their notification banner, and then is impossible to find in their feed. Overall, flipbook actually makes my experience on a Samsung in general much worse because it will not go away.

Cannot uninstall and do not want it. Update: 18 months later, still no uninstall option. Update: yes, I know it is pre-installed, as I didn't install it. Now, how about answering the actual question: why can't we uninstall it? Those who don't use it do not need this attack vector on their phones. Update 2: Still no answer, even though Flipboard has been an attack vector since its been forced on us for 10+ years & 4 years after it was hacked multiple times. 6 Sept 2023: still cannot uninstall.

Been using the app for years, but it now allows various malicious ad pop-ups to appear either within the app or as multiple windows in the browser. The ones within the app are practically impossible to close, requiring exiting whichever article you are reading. No response when reporting this issue. Will change rating once response is given and fix provided.

Edit: Despite their suggestion below, it is impossible to stop the app from auto-updating when it feels like it. This is despite the fact that I have prevented it from auto-updating and disabled it in app manager. I'm sick of having to constantly delete the updates and frustrated I can't uninstall an app that has news that isn't relevant to my part of the world. I don't even WANT to see the news.

Too many commercials and adds. Now, a data breach? How could anyone get any data from it when that all it does is crash when you use it, freezes up on screens, and the news stories are riddled with spelling errors or omitted information in articles. Reporting, just isn't what it used to. Took up way to much memory and storage (to keep installed) and most stories were from U.K, Germany, France, ect? news, while I live in the U.S. Not really impressed with the app,. Sorry for the bad review, but

it is an impressively terrible app that consistently astounded me with its ability to make me angry in new and innovative ways. including but not limited to; swiping up the page making continuity in reading almost impossible, starting new pages in the middle of the last paragraph, and being unable to properly deal with typefaces in general. evasive ad's that take control. lately I have been reading articles and an ad pops up. there is no way to escape. I get one screen into reading the article and it's all over. when I restart flipboard and go back to the article. the same thing happens. if I am no longer allowed to read articles, this app for me is totally useless. it's now just an ad server. goodbye flipboard, you are now uninstalled

This news feed is pretty much useless. It seems to have decent customization options but the news feed very rarely shows anything new. The same stories are still featured no matter how old they are or many times I refresh. The same article that was written 2 weeks ago shows that it was posted within the last hour, and once it gets past a certain date/time, it will just say it was posted within an hour again. It also only shows very limited news sources that seem to be primarily left-leaning.

Disgusting amount of ads. Especially video ads that stick to screen and trick you into clicking them when you try to get rid of them. Just scrolling through the headlines past all the videos to the bottom and opening a few articles shaves several % of battery. What a bait-and-switch. What a decent intro madness from a few years ago when it started as a nifty little news bulletin app. Uninstall and deactivate...

Google changed the app store to auto update whenever it decides it wants to. Even disabling the auto update feature, wont prevent apps from updating themselves. This flipboard garbage is another example of that combined with it being a preloaded app that cant be deleted. The devs seem to think it's perfectly normal. It's not. You've always been able to delete and choose updates in the past and on a computer. This app is as bad as Bixby. Utterly useless.

Annoyingly pops up! ALWAYS! I literally hate this app. I read and update my daily current events manually. I'll research current events at my own desired schedule. This Flipboard app is the most annoying news app I've ever used, it pops up on my phone, randomly, at times that are most inconvenient. Do a percentage of us a favor and delete this LOL trust me the percentage that won't miss it have no problem researching current events on their own.

Previous version was much better. This one has way too many "teaser" feeds that require separate subscriptions. Breaking news and headlines are also a little off at times. Again, the previous version was on point and worthy of 5 stars... I was generous with my 3 stars for this one. To be perfectly honest, the only reason that I actually use it is because it is built into my Samsung devices.

I always had to delete or worse yet open then close a "briefing" or whatever to get it out of my way. I guess it was bloatware shipped with the note5. I wasn't able to delete it completely it still has the original version taking up storage space. I use this note 5 as a ground station for several unmanned aerial systems. I don't need no stinking briefings.
