Going downhill with recent updates: Scanner sometimes fails/ slow loading My wine profile seems to be displaying widely inaccurate numbers of ratings from say a region or grape and correct on others for no reason, so that interesting feature is basically useless now Pushing a premium service is fine but advert detract from experience Little way to get incorrect wine information changed Poor detailing of grape blend% (this information is often widely available) yet often incorrect/can't change

Doesn't work any more, infinite uploading time and nagging to pay for subscription, which is way overpriced. Good quality only in the start, low quality once enough customers. Sad.

A very useful app until the latest upgrade. Have used the app for two years and found it very helpful in the ratings and recommendations. However the recent upgrade is now pushing a paid 'premium' service, includes intrusive pop-over ads, and tells me my favoutite wine styles will be a "poor match". Poor decision to go down this route. Edited - recent update has drastically increased ads and push to sell the premium version. Account and app deleted.

Once a great app, hence my 200+ reviews, but no longer. You can't move for them trying to up-sell you an over-priced subscription, ok we get you need to monetise, but your way over the top in the way your doing it (and price point is not realistic). The restrictions & in your face ads which are annoying and will have a counter-prodctive result. I understand from dragons den Steven Bartlett has a slice of Vivino, isn't he supposed to be the online sales guru, chuckle...., ball very much dropped.

No sense of loyalty. I bought the full version when it was a one time payment. Now, they removed the one feature that made the app attractive in the first place, unless I pay a ridiculously high monthly fee. There are always alternatives; time to change again.

I liked it better when a scanned wine would display right away instead of the bottom drawer. Also, the new version heats up the device and drains up battery like crazy

Everything was ok and it has 5 stars from me. But now it doesn't work at all. After launching the app it asks about transferring data and no matter what you answer there's an error.

Since the 3rd July 2023 update, there no longer seems to be a capability of taking a photo of the label without paying 4.99 a month. That seems a bit steep. It has been great before this. I don't mind paying something but nearly 60 euros a year from zero is too much. *UPDATE* free to €60 a year for a non-expert wine rating is not sustainable. I wish you luck with your premium subscriptions.

Opened the App today, I had to create an account, ok, I had no choice. Once I've done it and opened the app all my favourite wine list (over 40 wines) is gone. Shame on you. Jacob

Used to be a great app!! I have been using it for years ...and now so inaccurate. Not paying for the app! Always have to be greedy! I'll go elsewhere for wine ratings + pricing.

An annoyance that is making app next to useless if you scam a bottle it's almost impossible to change the year of vintage the app picks a year and your pretty much stuck with it

Excellent App! Helps me to learn about wine. I can add a personal note that only I see on where I bought it & if I liked it! I'm over 50 so it helps me remember! get the app! Easy to use! U will love it! CHEERS!!

Latest update removed "quick scan" for scanning multiple bottles. Was the only useful feature to decide what to buy. Uninstalling. EDIT: It's been added back as a PAID feature.

I have found this app to be excellent however the recent update has brought lots of full screen unskippable ads almost every time you search, I end up closing and reopening the app. I get it that you need to monetise user's that don't pay for the premium but this feels more like penalising, I wouldn't have the need for the premium and have no issues at all with on screen adverts but resent the full screen unskippable ad concept, its a frustrating experience that will drive me away

Like other apps, they started the premium-subscription-overpriced-or-massive-ads thing. Not worth anymore. I mean, who's paying new Netflix prices (not the old, nor the older, the new twice or trice increased pricing of Netflix) for features that have been removed for free users and added to the subscription? Oh and removing features for a new premium thing along with not grandfathering people who paid the once one-time fee shows you how the company treats their customers. Leave. Now friend.

Such a shame. I have been using the app weekly for the last 5 years. Now they resort to annoying ads, and continually throwing premium in your face. This is extremely annoying. Rather let me order good wines through the app that I review at a discount. Buying wine through the app is not available in South Africa. Also, I don't mind paying a bit to support the app in exchange for new features and no ads, but no more than $3.5 / R60 per month. That's what I'm paying for Spotify.

Became just terrible and slow after UI update. Now, it is a struggle to search through wines when you are in a store. It is both an antihuman new UI and torturing never loading loading.

Was excellent. But now dogshit to use. I understand they need to make revenue, but the sudden onslaught of ads, pushing the wine they are selling first instead of genuinely helping you pick wine, has made this app an utter disappointment to use. Not even Google pushes ads this hard.
