As much as I love my soaps and really hate when I cannot see them which is the biggest reason for using the app. Unfortunately this one is not created well. Aside from the many many pauses whilst watching a show, you may get kicked off entirely at random. Sufficed to say you spend most of the time anticipating the next crash rather than enjoying the program. In 98% of cases the anticipation is rarely wrong. Then there's loging in and its stuck. Sometimes it's just not worth the aggravation...

Edited: After force quitting app & restarting mobile, was able to watch on phone with hardly any issues. Still unusable with cast to TV function even after rebooting TV. ............. When trying to cast to TV: Besides being very glitchy during play, Freezes at first ad and then does nothing. Doesn't crash; can't exit out without returning to the same place (first ad). As is, can only barely watch the beginning part of the show before ads attempt to load but never do. Unusable. 👎👎

Lucky to even get 30 seconds of a show before it starts to buffer. Then only to get an error message saying that the video can't be played. It will exit you out of your show. I have unlimited high speed data. I can watch videos on YouTube, Hulu and even Peacock with some only minor issues just fine. CBS/ Paramount I'm lucky to even get to a video to work. Not sure what exactly is the issue as I was able to watch the recent episode of Ghost. Though Survivor can't even get 60 seconds to play.

The video content keep pausing during the viewing of a television show. It sucks! The app was working fine at the beginning when I downloaded it or updated it in November of 2021. Now I'm not sure what's going on. It's very frustrating. To be watching something and interrupted!!I will try to uninstall it and reinstall. See if it'll work better!!! Please fix this problems!!!

Haven't been able to watch anything for over a month. Anytime I try to watch, I get the message, "sorry, this video is currently unavailable. Please try again." Even before when I could watch, the adds would constantly freeze or take forever to buffer. App is completely unusable at this point. Have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times and still useless. Just a waste of App storage space.

Horrible experience, I've been able to watch shows for the most part, but like everyone says, its stops in the middle of an episode then doesn't remember where you left off so you have to sit through tons of commercials to get back where you were. And today I can't even open the app, it says 'app stopped'. Why does nobody at CBS get how to fix these issues!!! Take a lesson from the CW app, theirs is perfect!!!

Won't play videos at all after latest update. Keeps saying I need an internet connection. The same connection let's me know which videos are available in the first place. I've had CBS apps since long before Paramount Plus was a thing. I've tried all the tricks. Still doesn't work. I'm not a programmer but I am also not a luddite. ABC, Fox and NBC work just fine.

Giving it 2 stars because there is still a lingering issue from the previous CBS app that is still very much prevelant on the new updated version, and a new reocurring issue that just started to happen 2 days ago. One; the app still freezes from time to time during ads, and that freezing carries over to the show sometimes. Two; I keep getting a pop up that says that the app has stopped working, even when I'm not using it it STILL pops up as though I have been, which is annoying!

The TV shows the news programs nothing actually plays all the way through it only gets to about 20 seconds and it stops and says that there is a error code 9999. I've tried it on my LG stylo 6 and I have tried it on my tablet it doesn't matter which device I use and both devices have enough data to stream videos it's just not working before the update it was working just fine now this I was thinking it was something that had to be worked out over time but it's not getting better. Still terrible.

Application is useless on a Smart TV. I'm using a TVision Android streaming hub. Clicking the app brings forth blank screen with message an ad is running. Then, it goes black. Hitting the play button may/may not bring up a selection screen. I was finally able to bring up the show I wanted and clicked the episode desired. Nothing. Just a blank screen. The app seems to work on my phone and I was able to cast it to my TV the day before. But, access it through the TV streaming service? Forget it.

I downloaded this app so I could watch the new season of Survivor. Ihave yet to be successful in viewing a single episode. It just randomly stops and when I get it to start up again starts at the beginning of the episode even if I'm 25 minutes into the episode. In order to get to where I was, I have to watch at least three commercials, then forward to where I was and watch three more commercials. After watching several of these commercials, it still has difficulty loading & the process repeats

Another garbage app from Paramount. I only downloaded it to watch new Survivor. Using the free episodes function, I need to watch episodes within a few weeks because they get locked out after a while. They play ads, which are tolerable in length. My problem is the app's inability to retain the spot in a show I've begun. Can't close the app mid-episode without having to start from the beginning. Even though I've already watched the ad-breaks, the same breaks are forced. Greed FTW!

I downloaded the app again, cause it's been a while since the last time I uninstalled it. It worked great for the first episode... then it wouldn't play the second episode. It just kept pausing to load, and I'd poly get a few seconds of play time before it paused again. Now I remember why I Uninstalled it the first time! I think it has such terrible playback on the free episodes, just so you'll subscribe to Paramount+ for better streaming. It's all a ploy. It's ok, I'm not interested anymore. 🤷

Can't stand being halfway through a show while Chromecasting, it gets stuck buffering, have to exit Chromecasting, and the app doesn't remember where I had last stopped watching and have to watch all the commercials all over again just to pick up where I was. Aggravating! Edit: CBS response with just troubleshooting is not the issue here...it's the incessant ads that you have to rewatch b/c the app is not intelligent enough to realize you had already watched or where you left off if you stop...

I really enjoy the shows and can't believe it's free but anytime I try and stream from my phone to Google Chromecast but it stops at every show at about halfway in. I have to go back into the app stop streaming and restart. It's done it 5 times in a row. I've tried reinstalling the app and it didn't fix it. Plus it's the only app that does it. If you would fix that def give you 5 stars!

My favorite part of this app is the cancerous amount of ads you have to watch with video. 30 sec when opening a video, then 2 min of ads to skip to where I left off the last time. When I clicked to Chromecast, it moved itself 5 min ahead. I had to skip backwards, which caused another 2 min of ads. This skip just so happened to be 30 sec from a commercial break, and CBS so thoughtfully offered me another 2 min of ads. So at this point I've seen 30 sec of show and 6 min of ads. Thanks CBS!

This app used to work flawlessly, but not anymore. Constant buffering. It kicks us out of the app or freezes after EVERY ad.... so I have to close out and watch 5 more ads to start where I left off. It shouldn't take me 2 hours to watch a 45 minute show... Your troubleshooting didn't work at all. I think it's unacceptable that the app works perfectly when ads play but not when the show plays. It's been months of this and all you have to offer as a solution is the worthless troubleshooting?

I have tried to play the free episodes on the CBS app and it's NEVER WORKING. Many times you start the episode and it finishes the commercial before the episode starts and then repeats the commercial again and again. I un-install the app. Then re-install the app every time this happens. I have tried 2 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago the same thing and again today. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy s10. This is not an old phone or outdated. Every other TV app works great. So disappointed.
