Its a pretty good app, I haven't had it for long but I noticed that if your playing music and you have its notifications turned on it will have like 5 almost tabs of the same song (like if you have Spotify and another music player open, it looks like that). I can't figure out how to fix. Not really a problem with the functionality of an app but it's Hella annoying.

It has one of the best interfaces I've ever seen in a mobile music app. Too bad that the gapless playback doesn't work... And it cuts off the very beginning of your tracks while playing an album... I'm not trying to be overly negative, but I've seen way too many apps out there that have a non-working gapless playback function. This is one of those apps.

This was the best music player I had come across, but the latest update made certain parts of it a real pain. As far as I can tell, it is now impossible to see all songs an artist has done. You have to look at each album individually and only play songs from that album, even in the artist tab. Some of my songs also will no longer play past a certain point in the song before skipping to the next, but that could be corrupted music. Now Playing also seems to have disappeared entirely.

Since I've downloaded it, it's been great. Only thing is it'll sometimes separate songs from the same album, making a duplicate of an album that was just created despite info (artist, title, etc) all being the exact same, meaning there's no reason for it to create a duplicate album. Very irritating new bug (as of 2/24/20) that also abruptly and randomly stops the music and restarts it from the beginning when I open the app.

I've been using this for a long time and it's great. No ads unlike other apps, and I like the default way I can manage my library. It's hard to find an app like that. I do think you should add the ability to determine whether you want to add a duplicate song or not to a playlist. I've unknowingly added doubles or triples to a list and I had no idea. this option would help so much. Also, it'd be really awesome to have playlist folders. I have issues and need everything to be "just so". plzkthx!

It's a pretty good app. My only complaint is that the app keeps overriding the artist pictures with the wrong ones even after I've found and changed it to the correct one. Can it stop doing that please? I'd like to keep the correct picture. And perhaps you guys can add a function where the correct picture can be uploaded to the app database to correct the wrong pictures. For instance when two or more artists share the same name. It's annoying. I'm tired of changing it back constantly.

This is a great music app. I updated to the Pro version and have made it my go-to music player. EQ is bumping and the shuffle algorithm seems more random than most. I'd give it 5 stars but I have a problem with the widget. It doesn't update the songs. The lock screen shows the current song but the widget will show whatever song was there last I checked. If I go into the app, the widget will update to the current song but it requires me going into the app. I have Android 10. Other than that, solid product, highly recommend.

I wanna give this app 5 stars because it has almost everything I want in a player. It's lightweight, fast, the interface is one of the best. It just added a feature where it saves your playback position which helps me when I download a lot of podcasts! However, the tracklist orders have been screwed up even if they're tagged right, album art editing always puts up an error, and it doesn't support multiple discs which leads to weird tracklist orders again. Please fix!!!

The only thing keeping my review from becoming 5 stars is the inability to customize the screen. Some of us don't care about a favorite track or a playlist. I utilize the folder option exclusively. I also am a huge fan of artwork, and frankly it just plain outright sucks that we don't have the option to remove icons that block or obscure the album cover. If you can fix that, I'd give you 10 stars if I could! Other than that the Pulsar Player is perfect!

Very very solid app! The only thing that could improve it would be to have a way where playlists can be restored when switching phones. I've never been able to restore playlists, even with the built in feature because the directory tags for songs changes from phone to phone. This app uses a text file with directory info that unfortunately does not carry over well. What's worse is that you cannot specify the music directory so that a proper restoration of playlists can be made. Still, good app.

So far this is the best player. I love being able to make playlists, swipe to change songs, and chromecast. And it plays the songs on my sd card. Only problems I found was sometimes it passes the song when I shake even with that option disabled (could just be my phone). Isn't too much of a problem tho. I also found that I can edit all the tags on some of my songs - but no problem. They have tag editors for that. Out if all the players I tried - this is the best one. 10 out of 10!! Thank you!😁

Best music player for your portable device. Supports album art and lyrics. Lots of options available, including deleting the song from your device directly from this app. The only problem I have found is with the song art. When I play songs, some of the art is from other songs. When I do a show tags, the correct album art does show up. I have cleared the cache but this did not fix it. All in all though, I would not change this music player for any other. It is definitely better than the old Google player and all of the other music player apps with ads out there.

Been using this app for a while now. So far, I love it. The UI was fairly intuitive (but of a small learning curve at the beginning, but nothing worth speaking of). It's flawlessly played files of many different sizes from 2 or 3 minute songs to 6 or 7 hour audiobooks. It also doesn't seem to have any problems with adding new songs to my library. I haven't had any issues with it at all. I'm thinking about putting it on my tablet as well.

Overall, I like this app compared to many other music players that I've used. The problem I'm having with this is it always autoplays in the car, first one it connects to bluetooth, then after I hang up a Bluetooth phone call in the car, the music player automatically starts. I've gone into the settings and disabled all autoplay options, but none seem to work. Very frustrating, but for the time being I like this app other than when in the car.

Solid music player. I've tried others but I came back to this one. There is one problem that I keep having though. Tracks will occasionally randomly pause for no reason. I'll be in the middle of a song and then the audio will just stop. When I look at the app the play icon still shows that's it's playing, but then when I swipe down it shows that it's been paused. Happens about 2-3 times a week. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Pretty good, but it would be nice if there were options to start at the folders section instead of all songs, and to switch to the player automatically when picking a song. Lastly, the skip back button should just switch to the previous song, not rewind the current one. It's way too hard to go back without pausing. All of these suggestions should be toggleable options of course, as there are people who probably like things the way they are.

I recently downloaded Pulsar to be the Music Player for my Android car Stereo. I like the interface and majority of the functions, however I noticed that when playing my albums, it would sort the songs by alphabetical order instead of by the track number. Depending on the album this can be an issue, especially when there is a flow from one track to the next. I think that if this is fixed, I could give it five stars. Just for further information, the music is stored on an USB drive that interfaces directly with my Android stereo.

I was one of the many looking for a Google Play Music replacement and refusing to pay to play my own tunes through YouTube Music. I also wasn't comfortable with any app that needs to access a cloud account to stream music files.This app gets the job done. No frills, but easy to use if you just want to play your tunes on or through your phone. Only two minor gripes. For some reason, deleted playlists keep reappearing. Also, album track listings are out of order once the app pulls the music files. That's not a big deal, unless you're so used to listening to the whole album and expecting a certain order. This is really noticeable on live albums (usually the first track is some sort of intro - but it may come in the middle or end of playing).
