No info on what's playing. Too much info on what's playing elsewhere. The app us swamped with nonsense. I just wanted to see Classic FM playlists and couldn't find any, even for the set that was live. This may be useful to some but follows the usual, misguided BBC apps in that is it trying to be something and failing, whatever it is!

Works fine for me.Closed the app from the current open apps and it still works,even locked my phone and it still worked.Like the way you get the picture of the person who hosting when you go to unlock your phone.1 suggestion I would have is to include a guide to classical music,I generally don't listen/like classical music because of the way it can be quiet and relaxing then loud and overbearing and dramatic,I don't know if this is to do with a 'type' of C music or not i.e concerto/symphony etc

overall good, just didn't like the feature where every time a new piece came on, it triggered a notification that covered the top part of my screen for a few seconds. I turned off notifications for the app but that has the downside that I can't see what piece is playing simply by turning my screen on

Won't open. And, if you manage to persevere long enough for it to open, it just crashes again after encountering an "unexpected error". I've had enough of Global apps at this stage, I've uninstalled both Classic FM and LBC and have gone back to the BBC - at least the Sounds app works.

I love classic songs and this was a good way to listen to them. i loved your app a lot because i have been wanting something like this forver where i get to listen to classical music and would have given you 5 stars but the app, it crashes a hell lot.. like so damn much that at times i am irritated. please resolve this issue.

I'd prefer to send NO stars! What is the point of asking for feedback if you do nothing? I sent this feedback and immediately got the same 'classic FM has closed please send feedback' message : Global player keeps closing when I try to access downloaded shows. I can't even access it to Stop the downloads. Please help I've sent feedback about this repeatedly in the past but YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING!

Was brilliant.. don't know what has happened but uninstall it and reinstalled it and I have the same issue which is INFURIATING.. I like to play playlists (no talking, news or adverts. But the screen and information on the play list no longer updates .. So I have "playing now" e.g. gymnopedie and its actually something completely different... I've come out of that playlist and gone into another (films) and it will say Interstellar but its Jaws! 😡 I want to know WHAT I am listening to!

Great idea but in practise, the app has been unreliable across the last few versions. Often glitches, crashes, playing errors for catch up shows and forgetting where you got up to. With perseverance, the app is a great way to catch up on shows etc but still a bit buggy on my android.

Just want to say I have been listening to classic FM for more years I care to remember, but unfortunately I will not be listening anymore because now the app wants to know my date of birth and phone number WHY?

I love classic fm but this app is awful. As another review commented, it keeps stopping and comes up with a message that there is an error. I restarted my phone and uninstalled and reinstalled the app but the same problem keeps happening, also it keeps playing the same Advert every time I open the app. I'm very, very, disappointed.

Updated but still useless. I subscribe to shows to listen to on my commute but whenever you click on library the app just closes down instantly. I used to access my shows by going into the station's catch up page and listening from there but the new update has made this basically impossible as you can no longer go into that station. Waste of time and the developers dont listen, have emailed about this before but no-one replies. Edit to add that now you cant even go on the catch up section 20/05

I'm downgrading to my phone's backup of the old version - sorry but Global's other stations kinda suck and there's no option to select a preference for a station to be auto started like before. Also I don't want the presenters' photos on my lock screen. It's weird. New version also buffers and drops the stream.

The recent big change made it a real pain to use. The actual app now crashes on my S7 all the time. Was really reliable before a couple of weeks ago. I listened all the time. I removed it last week because i was so annoyed with the new interface. I'm trying one last time. Rated zero for user friendliness now.

Fine until they wanted me to create a login so yet another organisation can follow me around and fire "tailored" advertising at me. No thanks, uninstalled. A pity because I used it a bit and would return if they dropped the need to register. The annoyance of the ads in the programming was an acceptable trade-off for the music although the amount of repetition of the same ad just made me dislike the advertiser.
The Swot
This used to be a reasonable app that has deteriorated over time. It has now reached the stage to uninstall. I will find an alternative to Classic FM. When I start the app I am greeted by intrusive rubbish which I am unable to "skip" for 10 seconds. The radio shows are already interrupted by advertising and this rubbish at start up is the straw that has broken the camel's back. A note to advertisers on Classic FM: Lose the radio listener, lose a listener to your advertisement.

I have been using this app to listen to my all time favourite radio channel for years now and do very much enjoy it. But for some reason the app kept disturbing, so I had too install it again. I am yet again having to uninstall and install this app. I don't quite understand why change something that works perfectly well with something which doesn't work.

It's like this . . With so many negative reviews in the context of the app for phones I went back to basics. What I want works well on the laptop, my recommendation is that people search Classicfm/radio/playlist NOT Classicfm app. in the Playstore. This downloaded satisfactorily to my Android homescreen from which I can listen to live music as well as much much more. Always happy to help!

i'm currently experiencing this issue: when playing audio or multimedia in other apps and then resuming the music, the music stops shortly even as i try to do this again and again. closing the app usually resolves this issue as far as i know yet, but its irritating and time-consuming. i hope you do the work now in order to help me fix it.
