In my opinion this new interface is a total disaster. The new version is very complicated, it is nothing like the previous version because it worked much better in several aspects. The presentation was simpler but effective without as much clutter, quicker to switch between favorite channels and view the guide, with smoother response when fast-forwarding or rewinding a show. In short, a lot to correct this new interface or go back to the previous version.

Seems like this last update did NOT do its job. It seems this past week everytime I watch something the app freezes when it plays ads, so I have to close. When I do that. I have to restart my movie all over, then watch ads again to get to where I need to be. At this point I'm just watching ads and it's annoying.

Subscription Sling often goes down for hours, unable to watch any programs. App recommends reinstalling. Then unable to log in for hours. DVR function for AirTV is absolutely useless. Crashes. Hard drive format doesn't work. Constant errors. Discrepancies between mobile app and Firestick app with one saying it's down and one working. If you just want the free channels, you may be satisfied. But Pluto has more content you'll want to actually watch that the 100's of useless Sling channels.

An inexpensive streaming service with an awful app is not worth even the cheap price. I've had this app for two days and it is unusable. Paid $20 for a streamer that I can't use. It freezes and blacks out several times in one hour making it impossible to watch live TV which is what I wanted it for. The picture and sound quality is good when it works, so two stars. I'm using it on an LG Smart TV with 50Mbps+ speed, so that's not the problem. I will not be paying for a second month of Sling TV.

Disappointing. $45 is cheap, but they take away your local channels, and many times it takes forever to load or does not load at all. The commercials are repetitive to the point of utter annoyance. The DVR is nice, but for the hassle of all the downsides, it ultimately is barely worth $20 a month. I will have to cancel unfortunately. They do not make that easy either...

Crashes too often on any platform. The worst is the error messages. They make it sound like there is something wrong on your end. Tells you to update or reinstall. But it's always on their end. Everytime I get an error and check Is It Down website, it's down. Just give an error that's says "we are having problems."!!! Lots of buffering, few local channels. It's ok when it works, but their network SUCKS.

App cuts outs out and crashes in the middle/end of sports games. From a programmer's point of view, definitely an interesting "feature" to have at the end of the game (or viewing period). With the 40 bucks I give you to watch the NBA Playoffs, can you get someone to check all the core dumps for an update, please? Edit: I've switched to other streaming services (YouTube TV, FuboTV) and they work much better. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

It has the potential to be a good app but, it is a constant frustration. Always crashing or stalling, or error alerts where you have to restart. When it works, it's a great app, but it seems to have been getting worse, like maybe they are growing faster than they can provide service. Hopefully, it improves because it has some great features that could make you completely replace cable. Basically, entertainment a la carte, when it works.

I can't fast forward through the ads after pausing and it's now with every channel and program. The DVR is lousy, you hit play and you never know if you'll be starting at the beginning, middle, or end. If I record a sporting event I'd like to see it from the start and not "live" otherwise why would I bother to record it? There's also no resume option so you just have to figure out where you left off and manually try to find it again. Also, I fast forward and it rewinds instead, very frustrating.

I've had a Sling account since 2020 and it has had some bumps. But this latest update killed it on my FireTV Stick and Samsung Tablet (Android 11). Wouldn't open. Followed toubleshooting, WiFi is excellent, everything else streams fine. Tried to uninstall/re-install, now it won't open on one FireStick and get errors when trying to login on my account...continuous spinning donut...I've entered my email and password a 100 times no more, canceling my subscription!

Dvr sucks. Fails to load recordings across users. Major battery drain and heat from using the app. Doesnt load the guide.No way to turn off the free service that clutter the guide. I can't find all the channels I pay for. It gets stuck buffering. And the guide fails to load. I've only had it 12hours and I'm already regretting paying for it. This is the only streaming service where I could use my ota channels in the guide without a separate app.

Too often Sling lags or pauses to buffer. I've had issues where it says it's being viewed on another device and shuts off, yet I was only watching it on the TV. You aren't able to rewind as often as you can on YouTube TV. When I asked them to cancel my month subscription and refund for the remaining days I won't be using, they refused to do so. No refunds for a product that is ineffective.

This app sucks. Clearly after all this time you would think that they would have fixed all the bug issues. I used to like this app. It had great potential. Now it ain't even second rate...Can't even enjoy my sports without fading or buffering. Now, it keeps giving me error codes on login. Why am i paying for bottom shelf entertainment. Sure, Xfinity isn't cheap, but atleast I'm getting what i pay for..If i wasn't paying, it would be ok. However, that is not the case. I guess it's time to leave

Poorly designed app. Troubleshooting account management, subscription or billing options is a complicated process. The app throws non intuitive random error numbers that even the customer service agents do not understand. Web browser and mobile experience is different as the user is presented with different options that do not work. In the end you'll get stuck paying a higher amount and the reps have no way of fixing the issues.

It's a great app for watching cable TV at an affordable price, the only bummer is not being able to skip commercials on DVR recordings, at least give us the option to pause live TV during the commercials, I can live without the option to skip them during live TV watching but atleast let's pause during commercials. Otherwise great app, and it's affordable.

Unusable. As far as trying to cast to your TV from a device, the app is still in development. Can't fast forward, reverse, move further Into the video. I can after about 10 minutes each time of trying to get it to function without getting stuck at the beginning and playing the same ads in a never ending loop. This is a big company?

Sling is by far the worst streaming service on the planet and it only gets worse with every update. That includes the app for smart TVs. Every day is a whole new experience with more issues. Loading issues. Can't load the guide. Can't load the DVR. It seems that the company has found a way blame any arror on anything but themselves. Such as "no internet connection." And then there's "Sling commercial break" that never ends until you back out of it. They only care about $$$$$$

UPDATE: trying to add an add-on but it is trying to FORCEe to update to the $5 a month DVR Service. Tried multiple browsers. Worst streaming company I've dealt with so far. Unstable. Keeps throwing error messages or just completely shutting down. Do not recommend this service. Trying Sling and within a week started seeing issues. You had one chance and your app has failed to keep me as a customer. Going back to my previous provide as stability wasn't an ongoing issue for them.
