It has the podcasts I like. However, on the screen listing episodes, the play button is located too close to the scroll bar. It happens VERY often where I go to press pay to start an episode but instead jump to a different part of the list. I hate it. Update... it's fixed! Thanks for the support.

UPDATE: Xavier responded instantly to my email, we went back and forth with screenshots and he helped me figure it out. I changed my rating from 1 to 5 stars! Thank you, Xavier! 💖 1. I listen to successive episodes of podcasts. pressing ff to next episode. Now it stops after every episode I have to dry hands, open screen, push play every time. I HATE this. How can I change it back? 2. The same time as the above began I can't access a podcast I have listened to. I may have to find a new app😭

This app is so amazing and it's been my favorite app since I installed it in phone. Not only the app can help you discover your favorite podcasts, but also its settings allows to customize it the way you want n one of my favorite customisation, is that the app allows me to automatically delete the Audio once it is fully played. So this helps me to constantly save more space for other audios.

I've used this app for years and listen to 5 or 6 podcasts daily. Easy to use. After the last update, I'm no longer able to see more than just the first part of the title - no description, guests, topics etc. Really frustrating, harder to decide whether I want to listen to it or not. There used to be more details.

Switched over since Stitcher is shutting down. It took me a bit to get the flow of how I listen to podcasts. Overall works great and id suggest the premium version bc the extra features are worth it, like picking your startup screen. Developers are very responsive and id highly recommend this app as a great replacement for Stitcher. 👍

Have used, subd, and been happy with this app for years, but basic common sense features are lacking. Need ability to arrange tiles into folders or title headings to clean up the interface. Am up to 99 podcasts and it looks like a hard to navigate mess. Want a ability to put in folders eg. Androids home screen. Want to press and hold to move podcasts where I want to but only can move to top or bottom. The apps category filters are useless.

Honestly been pretty excellent. I've been rotating through a few different podcast apps, and have been happy with this one the longest. No intrusive ads; just one very tiny banner ad at the bottom. Very functional. UI is good, but could use a little polish. No real complaints; app does its job.

I love this app & recommend it all the time. Fantastic selection of options in settings. It is certainly aptly named as it's helped me discover I am a podcast addict! I love the huge selection. There are literally only a handful of podcasts I had to get from Spotify (not a fan of Spotify) but no biggie and I'm not listening to them yet until I get more caught up on Podcast Addict. Thank you to the developer for all the hard work, dedication, and commitment to this app and to your listeners.

A lot more complicated than my old player but it has a lot more functions too which make listening easier (like batch functions). If I were to change one thing it would be to allow for the creation "folders" that make multi-podcast organization easier. I created new, currently updated, waiting for next season, and finished but worth keeping (relistening). Granted, there may be a way to do this in Podcast Addict that I've not discovered yet so....

I love this app and the degree to which I can customize it. It takes some time to figure out all the settings, but once I did it worked like a dream. I sent in a feature request through the feedback option and Xavier got back to me the very next day and walked me through setting up exactly what I asked for but couldn't figure out. I've never experienced such fast and helpful support from an app developer before. Thank you! 3yrs in Update: I appreciate the regular feature updates!

Podcast 2.0 features are outstanding! I keep getting a message that says the app won't work properly if it is optimized for battery usage. When I click the link to take me to my list of optimized apps, podcast addict does not appear on the list. So I have no way to get rid of this error message. Additionally there doesn't seem to be an option to stream the podcast episodes as everything defaults to download first. That's not a big deal, though.

Podcast Addict is an app I am glad to review. Two years use have confirmed what I said in February 2021 (below) - the app works, and the one time I contacted the makers about an issue (my error), support gave me a solution quickly. -- So far, so good - all controls work well, and I subscribed to podcasts I had been listening to. After a short period using the free version, I paid to get premium perks and to support a competitive environment. I'm glad this alternative is available :-)

Takes a while to learn this app, but it's feature rich and is the best I've seen. Not completely happy yet ... I have Podcast Addict on multiple devices, and I have some frustration in keeping straight what I've already listened to. There is no communication between devices. Hoping for this feature soon. HINT: I would pay for this feature ... I think others would, too.

After quitting Spotify I looked around at quite a few alternative podcast apps and this is easily the best one I've seen. The main draw is that its absolutely loaded with useful features and customization. It really feels like you can lay out any feed or playlist exactly the way that you want to see it, and you can do that for every individual podcast you listen to. I didn't even hesitate to pay for the ad-free version, I think something this well made really deserves the support.

I initially downloaded this app because it had more useful features than the other podcast apps but recently the rewind button often hasn't been working correctly, often going forward instead, in some cases very far forward, making it hard for me to find my original place. This occurred even when I watched carefully ensure sure that I was tapping the correct button instead of hitting the time slider instead.

I've been using the app for about a decade now and while it's great, the continual lack of "back" functionality is astounding. Pressing the back button just closes the app. It's pretty baffling. EDIT: Despite the developer feedback to this review, the back button does NOT go back another page. It always exits the app. If you're on episode #354 and need to go back, get ready to reset the entire thing. This would be so easy to fix.

No difficulty doing basics ... After several years, I am even more satisfied with this app. I have been able to tailor the presentation to my preferences, and it *just keeps working * without flummoxing me with constant changes. Also, Mr. Guillemane provides remarkably detailed and helpful descriptions of the OS changes which force changes in the app. 5 stars!

Fully featured, and has exactly what I need (I also prefer a lot of customisation, so was happy to pay the subscription, although pretty fully featured without it). Only thing I wish for is that the Pixel Watch would allow skipping forward and reverse, but not the app's fault as it seems only if the dev makes an app specifically for the Pixel watch does that work (seriously, out of curiosity I tried a few others and even the Google Podcast app won't allow it. What the hell, Google?) Recommended
