HOW TO AVOID ACCIDENTALLY DISABLING YOUR ALARM
Choose one of the puzzles available in Alarm Clock Xtreme!
Puzzle appears only after you hit the dismiss button.

PUZZLE
Math — Solve math problems. You get to choose the difficulty level: Easiest, Easy, Medium, Hard, Hardest. If solving one problem isn’t enough, increase the number of problems from 1 up to 5.
Password — To turn off the alarm, you must retype the password that appears on the screen.
QR/Barcode — Scan any QR code to add it into your code library. Print the QR code and place it far from your bed. When your alarm goes off, you’ll have to scan the QR code to dismiss the alarm.
App Launch — Choose an app on your device that will launch after you turn off your alarm.
None — If you trust yourself to not hit dismiss or snooze when your alarm goes off, then no puzzle is needed.

It's fine and does it's job but I knocked off a couple of stars due to 2 particular reasons. Once an alarm goes off, that screen stays up even after you turn off the alarm until you tap the X to close. Normally, that wouldn't bother me however here is where the two problems happen. First, it keeps your phone lit up which will cause battery issues of being drained. Especially if you are in a hurry an only tapped the dismiss button. The second is if you have another alarm set to go off a little bit later (especially in the morning) that screen prevents you from turning off the tune of the next alarm. You ended up have to go through multiple screens (even more so if your phone is locked) all while the tune is screaming louder and louder. So in the morning that becomes an issue that's quite frustrating. Other than those two gripes, the app works fine.

After the last update, the usability of the alarm is greatly affected. The initial alarm initiates, however, the snooze function doesn't activate the screen. So if I hit the snooze button, after 10 minutes has passed, I can hear the misc and vibration, but the screen doesn't activate. This means I can't snooze again unless I manually turn the screen on using the power button on the side of the phone. It's a minor annoyance, but a strange function to lose in the update.

Oh boy, how the mighty have fallen. Half the functionality of the old app has been removed in the name of simplicity. Have to dismiss the alarm to see the main UI. No option to force puzzles, math, etc. on snoozes. The app has increased the number of ads over the years (like to a comical level), but I dealt with it for the functionality. It's like most other alarm apps now, so no reason to keep using it. Used it for many years, but this is the end of the line for me.

It works pretty well. Usually doesn't have issues, but I have had alarms (both set alarms and timers) not go off before. They did a major update a while back that removed the option to change the theme (the look of the app). Maybe that's something that's in the paid version, but I'm not going to take the chance that it's not. Everything is just a tacky blue now. The ads get pretty annoying too. I'm tempted to find what else I can out there.

I hate the upgrade. Edit: what I dislike is how I have to access the timer and stopwatch via a drop down menu instead of having it across the top. Also, they changed the way to set the stopwatch. Instead of being able to set it the same way you set an alarm (scrolling through a dial), you have to enter the numbers by punching them in. I would prefer to revert to the older version. It was easier to navigate and more intuitive.

I wish there were more widgets for timers and stopwatches. Maybe put an option to have a setting button near the bottom of the screen for one-handed operation. Otherwise, it does what it needs to and hasn't let me down. The gentle wake-up has been amazing. The only issue I have with it has nothing to do with the app itself. A bird has taken up residence that sounds almost EXACTLY like the alarm, so I can't use it as often anymore. It chirps at all hours of the night. Lol

I often need alarms that can do more to help me wake up then just play an annoying sound and this one delivers. The customization is really what makes it such a perfect fit. I can choose from any sound on my phone and have it start quietly then build volu.e so I'm not startled out of my sleep. But the best part is all of the options to snooze, or dismiss the alarm. Sometimes I need the challenge and other times I need to just shake my phone and I get to set each alarm ho I want it. It's great!

Ok so weird thing. I have this problem where if I am listening to music or have it plugged into Bluetooth I can't hear it because the alarm setting is quieter than what you hear via Bluetooth (so 30% volume is really loud in your ears but you cant hear the alarm at all). But when I choose to make it ignore volume it will blast my music before doing the alarm. I'm also very peeved that in order to get customer service, you have to pay for it. Or that's how it was last I checked.

Gentle alarm is broken. If you use it and you wake up but want to sleep in a bit, there is no snooze button. Which means you have to just ignore the gentle alarm till the regular alarm goes off. Makes it pretty useless. Also, the "preview" skips the gentle alarm and goes right to the main alarm, so there is no way to know how its going to work ahead of time. (Including seeing that there is no snooze on the gentle alarm). Both of these features are bad on their own, but combined, its worse.

edited from previously 5 star review. it does help you wake up, but even if you don't want to. it's a nightmare on my days off when i forget to turn off/change my alarm the night before. you can shut it off (OFF, not snoozed), but sometimes it will just go off again in 2 minutes, then again, etc. there is a 'wake up check' feature, but i'm not talking about that. it just. keeps. going. off. it is xtremely annoying and confusing when you're actually just trying to sleep. or get ready for work.

Great until it's not. Snooze time changed all by itself from 20 minutes to "39" minutes. I found this out when I overslept bc 39 minutes is too long. Then after multiple setting gymnastic efforts it would not change back. I tried again and again. Not difficult to do, but app always defaulted back to 39 minutes. Deleted app.

It would be nice to get an update where you can type your own custom message to shut the alarm off instead of typing random numbers and letters. A bug I've experienced is sometimes when typing in the random characters to shut off the alarm, it doesn't recognize the puzzle is completed and keeps going and you have to skip and complete a new combination of characters and it will shut off.

Fantastic alarm app. Been using it for years and love it. However, recently I've been having some issues with the app, specifically when I want to snooze my alarms. I'll hit snooze and the alarm won't turn off. I have to fully dismiss the alarm and even then the alarm sound doesn't stop until after I lock my phone. This is the first problem I've had and would love an explanation as to how I can remedy this issue. But overall one of the best alarm apps on the market!

Got this only bc the volume button to snooze stopped working on my standard Android clock alarm. This has a wealth of features, virtually every option you could want in an alarm and the ability to save a default set to make creating additional alarms easy. My only very minor complaint is having to scroll through the numbers to set times. On the standard app, it's just a couple of clicks on the clock face, with the option for direct keyboard input as well. Edit: Thanks, Tereza! That works.

Great. Besides being an.. alarm clock, it comes with alot of other features, like If you have trouble waking up, you can make so that you have to do a math problem to dismiss the alarm. Great if you're having trouble waking up on time, Been using this for 2 years, its helped with my sleeping schedule for school (which got ruined by quarantine). It has a few other good features, enough to reccomend atleast messing around with it for a bit.

This is a great app. but, I'm tired of it soliciting a 5 star from me. I have been relying on it for maybe 10 years. It sometimes glitches, but not often. Today it went off for an alarm set for another day. If I am on the phone, it does not sound. Perhaps there is a setting for that./? I have attention deficit disorder, and I set at least 3 alarms in decreasing intervals to get me to important appointments. Today, there are 19 alarms set on my phone. Perhaps I am pushing the limits.

Its a great alarm clock but for some reason I paid for it but each time I have to format my phone for my job security this app shows up not as the paid version and it won't resort the purchase. Normally I have to email someone to get a code to restore the purchased app. And that's annoying to have to do each time. I wish they could fix that issue.

Super alarm! Versatile setting, offer a timer, stopwatch and such, you can select types of sounds for each alarm, ie you may want just a ringer on one alarm and set online radio on another. It also works with Google assistant! I can say,"stop alarm" to turn off the alarm or " how much time is left on the timer?" and get the answer. I recommend this alarm.
