Disconnects all the time. I have tried 3 times to reconnect. Deleted my computer and reached it 4 times. Checked all of the settings to make sure I am connected to wifi and Bluetooth. Made sure battery saver is off and that it isn't optimized. I have trouble with this app on all of my computers. Beginning to be a pain. I love it when it does work because of my job it makes it easy to do everything from my computer while talking to clients. Wish they would fix this problem though. It is annoying

This app works when it wants to. Once it connects, God forbid you set your phone down. It then has reconnect, again. Once it does, it asks for a QR code to be scanned, again. Once it finally connects, it takes forever for the photos to sync. I thought this was connected over WiFi. I spent so much time reconnecting then being able to transfer photos.

So far I am unable to get this app to link my phone and it's WiFi connect to my WiFi-less PC. We go rounds trying to connect but it won't and there's no one anywhere to assist. I used to just plug the phone to the PCs USB hub and it would automatically pop up on the PC screen, real simple. Since downloading Link to Windows app the icon for my Samsung phone has been disconnected mysteriously now I am unable to share/tether/hotspot WiFi with my PC. Probably another charge soon will apply. 😑

This app offers such a convenience! Receive and send your phone's text messages from your PC. Amazingly, the app auto-connects very reliably. If I am near my PC it connects. Push notifications appear on both my phone and PC. I can type messages on my PC's keyboard so much faster. The app also provides complete access to photos on my phone. It's very easy to install. And once installed, it is virtually transparent - I never have to think about it except when I'm messaging.

This is an incredible app... when it works. The pairing process was a nightmare because the final permission notification wasn't showing up until I tried a dozen times. Now that the pairing is complete, it works very well, but sometimes the computer just doesn't feel like refreshing for notifications. I have no idea what's causing that behavior. But when it does work? Very, very helpful and useful, and it's replaced my long use of Pushbullet. Just work on that stability, Microsoft!

It tries it really does the majority of the time it works but when it really matters it doesn't it could be better it should be better but at the end of the day it's just not that great. Every time they update either the app on the computer or the app on the phone it unpairs itself and is an absolute nightmare to get it to repair. Uninstalling and never using again to save myself the frustration!

Great for reading & writing text messages. I used to go to the Verizon website to do text messaging on my PC, but this app is much more convenient. Two complaints: I wish that when I read a text message on the PC, it gets marked as read on my phone, so my phone doesn't keep alerting me that I have an unread message. Second, on the PC, the mouse wheel doesn't scroll the panels up and down, and the scroll bars are too thin to grab the thumbs on. Please enable mouse wheel scrolling.

One of the most annoying and aggravating apps I've ever downloaded. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If it connects to your phone, you will get bombarded with notifications and then your phone will continuously vibrate and buzz. Then when you open the app on your PC it, will routinely disconnect so that you can't use it. Very frustrating experience and it needs more work for sure.

Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. Mostly it doesn't, especially when you really need it to. There are various troubleshooting steps available, but like the app itself, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Very frustrating! Edit: If I can give this one star, I would. I have done all you suggested several times. It links messages and photos and if you click under "devices" on that screen, the phone shows up. It does not show under any linked devices in the general settings.

I've read some of the not-so-stellar reviews. Wasn't my experience. So much easier to bounce between multiple text conversations on the PC. Some projects require bouncing between multiple text conversations. Along the way I found it very helpful to respond to other messages and emails on the phone while composing text on the PC. No, I don’t have THAT kind of a crazy-busy life, but when those moments come up, the Link to Windows app has been incredible.

Update: I had to turn off my Private DNS service while I relinked... Had been using successfully for many months prior to July 4 update which broke it. It wasn't connecting anymore so I unlinked and deleted. Now can't get past the QR code but instead see this error: "Something went wrong. It's not you, it's us. We're experiencing server issues so please try again later.

Unbelievable, used to work with my PC that I got this past Christmas, but stopped syncing a couple of months ago, I have spent over an hour trying to figure out why they won't communicate, my phone keeps wanting to read the qr code as if it's the first time while my PC won't provide the code since it isn't, and telling me it's code 37 doesn't help, create a program to solve these problems automatically, I know using windows 3.1 in the 90s was a challenge, it's 30 years later!

Last update completely broke it. Keeps telling me to connect to wifi even though I'm connected and refuses to sync to my PC any more. Typical Microsoft garbage. The app worked great when it released and has consistently gotten more and more unstable over time. Hire better maintenance engineers or just leave these projects be once they're out and working.

Doesn't work. All it does is in an endless loop of cannot detect and reconnect actions. My pc sees the phone but can not share files because Microsoft isses! Now contacted by the dev that states the obvious that both devices need to be on the same wifi. My response is not many homes running multi hub or mesh systems. Fix your defective app or remove the requirement from windows that makes it mandatory to integrate private cellphone data into an unwanted Microsoft environment.

Edit: This app has gotten much, much more reliable. I can't remember the last time I had an issue with it. I use it to connect to my phone and work directly within apps from my PC. It especially makes typing out shopping lists easier. It's a great app when it works, but I haven't been able to get it to work in over a month. I went so far as to reset my phone. The generic error messages are useless, as is the troubleshooting advice.

I DO not want this application on my phone, nor do I associate ANY of my personal accounts with Microsoft. God forbid, you have the capability to just uninstall the application. It is unbearable to get help from or speak to an actual service advisor. Microsoft has taken over my personal Google/Gmail accounts. This is ridiculous! I've gone through several phone replacements, decoding, and factory resets. NOTHING WORKS!

I've liked the app so far but it is frustrating that when playing music or viewing a video, the audio only plays from the phone. There should be some sort of feature to stream the audio on the computer. That reason brings the quality of the app down a lot for me. If not for that, this app could easily get a 3 or 4 out of 5 from me.
Jason Jaye
It installed, paired with my PC but won't connect and removed the quick menu button when I restarted the phone. The app is still installed and still paired to the PC. Works fine on my Galaxy S22 but I've got issues on this Galaxy A03. *Update* feedback link given in email from developer doesn't open. Both devices are on the same network, power saving mode is off, both have latest version installed. Same issue.
