I downloaded the app and, within the same day, deleted it and canceled the subscription (there was a blurb at the time stating there was a free trial, roughly 3 days or so). Checked my bank account today, and I was charged for a yearly subscription. This was 2 days ago. The app may work fine for some. I was not so lucky, but I was charged a full subscription fee, and the app was literally on my phone for less than a half hour. This is completely unacceptable.

Allows you to download it for free, but requires immediate payment to actually make use of. It would be better to have simply charged a fee up front instead of providing the app itself for free and then immediately asking for money. It seems desperate and shady, and not an app I'm going to trust.

Over all pretty good app. The audio is not very good. Sometimes hard to understand, it also has a delay from real time dispatch. Again overall it's decent scanner.

Tried the app again after a few years. Still nothing has changed. Most stations are offline or can't be found in my area. 3 day free trial is supposed to remove ads yet still forces me to watch ads/blocks part of the screen.

Nothing but ads. Every button I touched seemed to bring up another ad and preventing me from getting it set up and running. To the developers, I understand you need to make money, I got that part. Now understand I uninstalled because of all the ads, I couldn't get it set up because of the ads. So, with it uninstalled, how much money you making now? You may wanna cut them back a little. You are living proof that greed is a mental disorder, and not a character flaw.

Ever since I renewed my subscription, the app doesn't work for the county I reside in. Paid for nothing. Also misleading because the broadcasts you can pick up are not live. I have reached out to developer asking for a refund. Yes I know I can cancel in Google play but that doesn't return the money I'm out for a product that doesn't work as advertised. Will gladly update my review if the issue is fixed or my money is returned! Thanks 😊

I've never felt so ripped off by an app before. The way they push a 4-day free trial before billing you $29 or $39 without offering a simple way to cancel the subscription through the app is a total rip. It should be illegal to design apps to take people's money this way. The Google Play store should have much clearer terms about how free trials can work and when and how companies can bill for subscriptions that people may or may not remember that they "agreed" to.

Use to be a great scanner! Been offline last couple of times I needed to hear what was going on. I uninstalled it. Big fire 1 street over so I installed it again. Low & behold now you halfta' pay for it!!👎 Wow! My notifications said you responded to my review. Don't see one! Only for others. Before the changes were made (?) for many months anytime I turned the scanner on it was always up & running. And free.

I was picking up from all over the country. Nice if that's what you wanted, but not what I wanted. My local radio wasn't able to be picked up. I live in a small town so that may be why. I thought I had cancelled this but guess I hadn't & a charge for $39.99 + tax was charged to my card. I contacted police scanner and they were very polite & quick to issue a refund to me. Try this out on the free 3 day trial, it might be what you want & if not just cancel it. Good people to work with.

I've tried this app for seven days. I tried several times each day to see if it would connect. The two local services say offline. I was able to get a few places to work but most were offline. There were more offline then ones that connected and worked. Can't imagine they are all offline, likely things changed and the database isn't up to date. If your lucky enough to be in an area that works this would probably be a good app, but for my area its worthless.

Not sure if it's my phone or my area but no matter what channel I use nothing comes through. Downloaded because of the free trial which of course then charges for an entire year instead of a month so they can prey on anyone forgetting to cancel by locking them in for as much as possible. Google is useless for overturning a charge even though I explained it didn't work and attempted to get a refund literally seconds after I was charged. Enjoy my $50 hopefully the app works for me at some point.

Don't install! There is no guarantee that the first responders in your area are available. After emailing before the trial period ended, I was told they can't/won't cancel subscriptions and told me how to do so on my end. The customer service is delayed, not very helpful & the "free" part of the app is intentionally confusing to get you to sign up for the $$. I hate leaving negative reviews, but when it's necessary it's important to let others know when an app is not what it is advertising.

Did not work. Installed it as there was a LOT of gunfire near my home last night (October 30th) - some Halloween party gone bad. Shortly after the gunfire, I heard the police sirens. I installed this app hoping to find out what was going on. Nothing. I selected all the options for this area. Still nothing. Was forced to subscribe - which I HATE. If I like something after a free trial, I will go back and subscribe. I absolutely hate subscribing before I've even tried it. Anyway, after I tried all the local channels, I installed a different FREE app (which offered an upgrade) and it worked right away. So I immediately canceled this subscription and uninstalled it.

I think it's a really good start, especially for a free scanner. It has code listings for you to understand the concept of a call better and the seamless connection to their radio allows you complete awareness of what's going down. Improvements can be made however, because i for one would like a way to read what they are saying because somethings it's difficult to understand. Thank you!

I originally gave this app a bad review cuz I thought it was a paid app and thought it was a little high. After a response back I realized that I was wrong and gave it another try. The app can be used free but its a little confusing. When the page comes up you can just x out. The app is very good with channels being very clear so far. The only complaint was that a lot of the channels in my area were offline but not sure the reason behind that. Other than that this app is definitely recomended!!

It looks nice, but that's just about it. It's like Scanner Radio, but there are constant intrusive, unskippable ads and some of the basic features are locked behind a subscription fee. Get Scanner Radio. It's better and it doesn't try to coerce you into swiping your credit card by holding ease of use hostage.

A lot is not being heard due to organizations and departments switching to private channels for certain topics, but that has nothing to do with the app. Only reason I gave it a 4 is you will get the same alerts 2 to 4 days after its happened. Like rerun television but more frequent. if I'm just unaware of a setting please let me know and I'll try to fix it, after fixing I'll up to 5 Stars.

There are ad supported apps, there are ads in apps that afford one the ability to test an app before purchasing, and then there's garbage like this where the ads are so constant and stacked so that one can't even navigate through the simplest of features. Launched three times, trapped twice by relentless ads popping up with the only way out of the assault by exiting. This is one I would never consider purchasing and that won't remain installed a moment longer. Hard pass.
