Description of Xbox beta

Easily share game clips and screenshots from your console to favorite gaming & social networks. Friends and parties follow you with voice and text chat, even if they’re on console or PC. Get notifications for new game invites, messages, and more. Plus, now play games from your console straight to your phone over the internet. The free Xbox app is the best way to stay in the game—wherever you like to play.

FEEDBACK. If you give feedback about the Xbox App beta to Microsoft, you give to Microsoft, without charge, the right to use, share and commercialize your feedback in any way and for any purpose. You also give to third parties, without charge, any patent rights needed for their products, technologies and services to use or interface with any specific parts of a Microsoft software or service that includes the feedback. You will not give feedback that is subject to a license that requires Microsoft to license its software or documentation to third parties because we include your feedback in them. These rights survive this agreement.

PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE. The Xbox App beta is a pre-release version. It may not operate properly or work the way a final version of the software will. We may change it for the final, commercial version. We also may not release a commercial version.

Nice and handy companion. Useful for sharing screencaps and videos. But everytime I try to edit a video after downloading it opens then instantly crashes the whole app. Wish this feature worked. Galaxy 23 Android 14 One UI 6.0 beta

I like the work there doing to make the Xbox extraterrestrial much better definitely worth a shot and use over the old one

some jump inputs were dropped overall decent game play sound quality and display streamed from living room to bedroom about 10 feet and 1 interior wall between phone and xbox. series x has a wired connection w 1 gig internet. pretty good overall experience.

Too many bugs. App constantly has issues and party chat will eventually not work and have to reset if you don't constantly leave screen running. Sometimes doesn't change pfp after you've reset it. Lately it takes a whole minute to load.

Xbox game pass quests for the app have not been showing up for 4 days now why is there 3 different apps and NONE load it up. Seriously this is complete garbage and always goes down/doesn't work I should've never bought this pile of garbage system and stuck with my PS5. Lesson learned on the next generation system.

Would give a 4 star but I haven't been able to use a Bluetooth headset while in the party chat since November. I can hear the call through my headset but it's using the microphone from my actual phone. It's almost been a year and the issue still hasn't been fixed.

Both apps are barely functional after months and months and for anyone looking to share content from your Xbox (or do anything on the app for that matter) be prepared to wait until the rare opportunity the app actually works. Export everything you need ASAP before you close the app again because you never know when/if it will work again. Makes it very difficult for Xbox creators to share any content.

Every time the app or my console updates I have to set up remote play all over again, which you can't do remotely obviously. Kinda defeats the whole point of being able to access my console from somewhere else if I have to go back home just to be able to connect again.

I can never download captures if they're more then 39 seconds; the app freezes and then eventually crashes.

Both apps are not letting me connect my series S, so both apps are currently garbage. Both apps always bug out an glitch.

Neat idea... will be better once it actually works for more of the social aspects (eg. things like screenshots DO NOT work consistently between console, computer / game bar, and mobile).

Used to be great, now I cannot turn it on remotely. I loved that feature for big updates because when I got home it was all ready to play. I'll update stars once resolved

Remote play on your own console has a bug that breaks the app if you connect while in a game, stops responding pops up the go to Bluetooth settings or continue anyway, but buttons dont respond but you can see the stream under the buttons working fine.

App is badly optimized and slow. Unfortunately it's a must have if you want discord integration and whatnot.

Good app and does as it says. Could do with some extra features, like Xbox store access. It wojldbe good to order / purchase games without having to remember to log onto the Xbox.

Long story short; I can't sign in. At all. Every time I try to sign in, it just keeps bringing me back to the sign in/set up console page. Keep in mind that this is after I redownloaded the app. Before, the app would just spam the authentication piece of the sign in (I assume that that's the part where you put in the password, but idk). Not the first time this has happened, but definitely the last. I'm fed up with this and all the other Xbox-related apps being so glitchy and buggy.
