I've used TeamViewer for over a decade. I have been flagged twice and restricted, but I emailed them, and they got it situated both times very quickly. I regularly use a VPN when I'm away from home for obvious reasons, so I assume that's why it triggered possible non-personal use. I absolutely could not live without TV. Only one request is for there to be a more affordable personal license opportunity. I want to support the service, but being disabled, I can't afford much. Thank you!

I've been using this application for years, and I loved it! However today was The first time ever that TeamViewer decided randomly that I was a commercial user and would be locked out of my account after 5 minutes. It even gave a handy little pop-up with a contact us button. Which didn't work. I mostly use this app to connect from my personal phone to my personal home computer to verify downloads are running while I'm away from home. However if this continues to be a problem, I'll uninstall it.

EDIT: They have added mouse support - EVEN FOR RIGHT CLICKS! At least with the mouse I'm using. That was almost a dealbreaker before, and now it's good enough that I'm considering ditching Parsec (old review: "the lack of mouse support is the only major downside, but it is a major one.") The only recurring annoyance is that, when typing with my bluetooth keyboard, the on screen keyboard pops up automatically, taking up half the screen, and won't go away with the blue down arrow button.

It was very good before and I used it all time as it had all the features I needed. I only ever used it for connecting to my second PC as it was easier to do it that way. But just a few days ago my account got flagged as commerical use and now I can only be connected to a compute for 60 seconds before it kicks me out, than makes me wait 10 minutes before being able to connect for another minute. I'm never using teamviewer again because of this and I can't get any work done that I need to do.

This was a useful app at first. Now it tries to erroneously flag me as commercial (my cell IS NOT 'COMMERCIAL USE') and blocks my connection randomly. Highly flawed app, likely an attempt at shaking you down to pay them for a license you don't need. Think I'll just go back to Remote Desktop, at least THAT works and is always free so long as you know how to properly secure it. The commercial use detection algorithm is clearly flawed and highly inaccurate. FIX IT OR REMOVE IT.

I like the app, but its functionality on a mobile network is proving to be problematic. The windows version works pretty well, but the mobile app is where I'm having an issue. I added my mobile device as a secure connection and granted easy access. On my network it works very well. Login from mobile access requires a password that appears to reset each time the desktop is restarted. I can't log in without the latest password. 😕

They broke a great application... For as long as I can remember, I've been able to connect to my computers while away from home but suddenly I need a "commercial license" for my personal use... When I finally spoke with someone at TeamViewer, they explained that I can only connect to computers that are on the same network (only works while I'm at home connected to the same wifi). I asked why the sudden change and she explained that "this is the way it's always been", which is simply not true.

I've used TV for years for personal use. Suddenly I started getting a message saying that my account was flagged for commercial use. I submitted a ticket and received a response saying my account was reset to personal use, but I am still getting the message and my TV keeps locking me out. Very disappointing and frustrating. I used to love this app, but it's time to find an alternative.

1) App is buggy. The screen does not refresh well. You have to continually go to settings and toggle the background to force it to reset. 2) They may randomly flag your account as being used commercially for no reason and try to shake you down for large amounts of money. Definitely do not recommend any more. Takes 10+ days for them to "review" commercial use, during which they apparently do no review, just give you a sales pitch at the end. Very disappointing.

Great app, the best remote PC program. I use it alot when I'm away from home. I can transfer files from PC to my Phone or Tablet. Reason a 4 instead of 5 rating, it locked me out of one of my home PC's after I fell asleep with it running. Supposedly I can uninstall reinstall and it will fix it, have not got home to try it. Why didn't it just shut off after so many hours of no activity.

Love this app! Every once in a while, I get the notice of suspected commercial use when connecting to my media center which is on a VPN, but I just contact support and they always resolve the issue. I'm using the free version for personal use and am just glad it's still free. The phone app works great and I'm easily able to remote in and navigate my desktop PC with multiple monitors, my media center, my son's computer, and my mom's PC from anywhere.

Probably useful for some, and I love Team Viewer on my laptop, but doesn't work for my needs on the phone. Mainly because I or someone needs to be present at the other device (Quick Support) to accept the connection. I understand there are security reasons for this, but it would be nice to allow perpetual access to specific device(s). This way it can truly be remotely accessible. Thanks!

The app is great, I have no complaints about remote sessions. But I'm going to lower the rating to 1 star because of lack of freedom to manage the license. The app does not allow you to cancel automatic renewal and you have to request it from technical support, they does not inform you that your license is about to be renewed to give you time to cancel (28 days), they forces you to pay for a full year and finally threatens you with "charges and/or a collection process". Very disappointed.

Worked great for years, worthless now. Won't let me connect multiple times or for more than 30 secs. Says they detect commercial use, but I use it on my personal PC to troubleshoot security/camera system. Reached out to support several days ago to resolve and no response. Uninstalling and going to better alternatives (chrome, etc.). I'd recommend staying away or else you'll be left with a useless solution.

It rarely connects 1st time and sometimes it takes a dozen or more tries. The bugs it has with screen appearance and alignment to accommodate its own menu around the remote system are tolerable. It is very convenient and for awhile it saved me the trouble of carrying a backpack to work and on vacation so I could access my computers when i need them. That is almost worth giving them another star or two BUT... Now they are accusing me of being a business and they don't support free users so byebye

Excellent tool, but horrid unfair policies. Cannot remote connect to a down level PC, even if just one major release down. If there is nobody physically at the remote PC to update it, then your only option is to get a paid license which requires a one year commitment of over $500!! And the cancellation terms are draconian. Paid licenses can connect to down level PCs. Yes, auto update can be configured, but what if you forget and are 1000 miles away?

Doesn't work like it used to. This must have a bad update. I use it for my phones when I'm away from home. I can externally log into my phone with the host app from another phone with the remote control app and that's the furthest I can get to. But, nothing else works as far as getting to the home screen and getting into other apps with the host app. I hope that they can fix this.

Advertises as free for non-commercial use, but then arbitrarily decides that you're violating the usage policy and blocks you. Nothing about my connecting to a single home computer is remotely commercial, and I've told them this countless times. Other reviews are full of people with the same experience. They're obviously fully aware that this is happening, so it looks more like an intentional business decision. Use something else.
