Description of File Manager

File Manager + is an easy and powerful file explorer for Android devices. It’s free, fast and full-featured. Because of its simple UI, it’s extremely easy to use. You can easily manage storages on your device, NAS(Network-attached storage), and cloud storages. What’s more, you can find how many files & apps you have on your device at a glance immediately after opening the app.

It supports every file management action (open, search, navigate directory, copy and paste, cut, delete, rename, compress, decompress, transfer, download, bookmark, and organize) for various file formats including media and apk.

Major locations and functions of File Manager Plus are as following:

• Main Storage / SD card / USB OTG : You can manage all files and folders on both your internal storage and external storage.

The application is good so far. I've tested and have been able to browse, copy, and move files to or from the following: a) Internal storage b) uSD card c) Any OTG devices I definitely 5 stars so far. It also shows my NAS but haven't really looked into where to save the credentials. I'm confident it won't be a problem though. If I do run into any issues that either require too much research or features that don't work I will update this review.

Works fine, but there's an issue with the "Documents" entry on the home screen. It only shows PDF files. To view a JPG image I have in the documents folder, I have to go to Main and then the Documents folder. Maybe this is by design, but I'd prefer to see all files, then have the option to filter them by extension.

Whenever I try to preview just one sound wav file, it tries to play the entire folder and often crashes my phone's user interface. It will go to the PIN screen but will often not show the PIN entry, and one time my phone crashed and went into recovery mode. Please fix this so only one sound file is played unless I specify playing the entire folder or a group of files that I queued, and the UI doesn't crash. I was afraid I had ruined my phone and lost hundreds of irreplaceable photos. Thanks.

I use this app to backup an SD card with photos taken in my camera. It's great because it doesn't copy again all the files that were already backed up. However, it checks the available space before copying and refuses to update the back up due to perceived lack of space. There's enough space for the new photos but the app only sees the total size in the SD Card. Dumb.

It's so easy to use and and has all the basic features most people need. Lacks more advanced features. I like the cloud services integration. One big problem though, why when I download files from One Drive does the download speed max out at only 1.8 mb/s and as low as 700 kb/s? I need to transfer big files often and it takes an eternity even though I have 650 mb/s broadband. Takes me over 20 minutes to download a 1 GB file. Please fix this and I'll rate 5 stars.

It is a better file manager than most but some features missing, e.g. last file(s) or imagine(s) downloaded are not easily found and not in the recent download file where it should be. I still find it to be one of the better File Manager programs. Adds are there but they don't block your work and available if you are interested. Like to give it 5 stars maybe when they correct the problems.

Re-rated. The app is still great, but recently I've noticed that, when going to the specific categories like images or documents, it's not updating properly. I could download an image from somewhere, but the images section will not update to reflect that. If I had 5 images in the downloads folder before, it still lists it as 5 images. But when I click on it, the new image will be there, for a total of 6. I don't know if it's my phone or...?

One of the best apps out there! Great for organizing and accessing all your files. The remote function works good for moving/copying files to/from other devices sich as a computer. I even like the video player better in this app that some of the dedicated video player apps. Also lets you make favorites so you can move around quickly between file locations.

I use File Manager + to edit, crop, and organize images into folders. After a recent update when I crop images they move to a Markup folder. There is no setting to change this behavior. I want the edited images to stay in the same location as the original. (I actually want the original overwritten but that has never been an option.) Therefore I am changing my rating.

Love it so far. Was looking for a way to simply drill down into an SD card and quickly flip through some pictures. There is no abstraction layer or trying to help you, or clever for the sake of being clever. Incredibly fast. My only complaint is that the photo viewer doesn't zoom to the full resolution of the image?

Another file manager app I had been using started acting up, so my search began. I am SO GLAD that I found this one. So easy to use. Clean interface. Just feels smooth. I download MP3's and move them to the SD card to save space on the internal memory, and this makes it easy. I was surprised when I tried to open an MP3, and it opened in this app. I was afraid I might have to uninstall it, but it was so easy to select which file types it would open, and which would not. So I can use my preferred MP3 player, and still use this to open videos and pictures. I mean, one checkbox and it did exactly what I wanted it to do. And it shows the FULL file names, and doesn't cut them off, or abbreviate them with "..." and cut them off. The best I've found.

Easy to navigate, easy to manipulate. You can rename folders, cut, copy and paste as well. Very well made app and the ad at the bottom is so tiny you barely notice it. In fact, I didn't even realize it was there for a long time after using the app lol. Your focus is on the folder style icons for navigation, and the ad is a strip of text at the bottom of the screen. Great app with a non-intrusive ad.

Best file manager I have found. Easy to rename and move files. The only feature I wish it had is a way to edit a picture and have it automatically save to the SD card, instead of having to search for the edited picture on the phone and moving it to the SD card. I plan to pay for the app to get rid of ads, though they are small and not too annoying.

Very easy and intuitive app. Easy to copy, move or rename files or folders and sort by name or file size etc. Moved and copied huge numbers of files easily between my internal, SD card and external USB attached SSD disk. I had the old version for years but eventually gravitated towards others, but most of them don't interact seamlessly between the 3 storage types I'm now using. I liked it so much after only 20 minutes I went and bought the pro version.

I've been using this app to navigate my collection of MP3 files and then open one file in the external MP3 player. I use Music Folder Player (by ZorillaSoft). I have paid for both apps. The last update of the File Manager broke this functionality. The File Manager opens Music Folder Player but, I guess, doesn't properly pass the filename. So the MP3 player opens but won't start playing anything. I tried to reinstall both apps and it didn't help. At the same time other File Managers still work. The workaround suggested by developer worked. Thank you!

I have used this for a long time and it's always worked extremely well. One feature I wish it had is a clipboard of previous searches. So if you search your Android device for a file name you have to retype it each time. I have also used it for access to my Google drive and other cloud drives and it works really well. It has other features like unzipping and rar which worked just fine. No complaints I like it

Love the organization of this file manager. Only complaint I have is inaccessibility to file paths. Most in "root" folder and I'm unable to find folders within the root folder. "Emulation" folder is one among many many others. I really ❤ this app. Great layout and design. Hoping one day I'll be able to see everything in my phone. Seems like it has a mind of it's own though. Thanks again to the developers of this app!

This app is one of the best file managers. The app shows image, audio, video, document, app and downloads in separate categories which is very helpful. It has cloud integration and remote file access. The app is easy to use, has dark mode and scheduled updates. One thing this app need is security. There is no password or biometrics to lock it!
