Currently transitioning to a different podcast app. This was once my go-to podcast app. I didn't even mind the ads. But with the recent updates, they made it so ads play whenever you hit the play button. These ads also don't go away automatically. You have to exit out of the ad and then hit play again to start your podcast. Why would they do this? When I hit play, I expect the audio I selected to begin. To reiterate, I'm fine with having ads. But you guys chose the worst place to put them.

Don't waste your time or money. I'm extremely disappointed. I organize podcasts in my queue and half the time the app either won't play the next podcast at all, or it will play one out of order. Sometimes I'll remove a podcast from the queue while I'm still listening to it, and then when I go to start a different one, it'll play both at the same time, and I have to force quit and restart to get it to stop. Also, this app refuses to work with my headphone controls. Terrible app!!!!

Was fantastic for a while. You could download podcasts, keep track of what you already listened to. But then suddenly it started playing add every few minutes OVER THE SHOW. Now it's impossible to listen to a single show uninterrupted. Before, it would just play the ad before you could hit play, now it just plays over the podcast and I can't even pause. And if I try to rewind to listen to what I've missed, it starts the ad all over again! Would have recommended before this. Now it's a headache.

Used to love this app, but lately it crashes way too much. It skips backwards, it stops unexpectedly, and you can not use the playback bar. Leaving for another podcast app. Update: it doesn't matter what settings you have on, it's going to do what it wants. I set it to pause when disconnected from Bluetooth, it pauses briefly then continues to play. Other settings are the same, the app just does what it wants. On the verge of leaving for another app.

I have tried a few podcast apps for Android and this one is my favorite. I preferred Apple's podcast app when I had an iPhone, but this app is a close second. The sleep timer and time skip features give this app a huge plus. This app falls short because it often takes a minute or two to start playing a podcast after pressing play. Also, this app closes itself if it's not playing and is in the background. That can be frustrating. All in all, it's still the best I've found for Android.

It always worked for me, until it didn't. Now, it crashes every time I open it. I will try uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but having to download all of my podcasts again is irritating. The ads that pop up right before you touch something are annoying, too but they are usually fine. edit: Thanks for the response. It turned out to be an issue with my system software being out of date.

I love the format, it's very smooth to use but I wish there was a history function. however, mine is unusable. some podcasts I start display "unknown error" and it closes it, but it doesn't. whatever I tried to play still runs in the background, I can play or pause or even bring it up. I can close every app on my phone and it keeps playing, the only way I can stop it is by restarting my phone.

Enjoy this app. Broad selection of podcasts to choose from. App interface is sometimes less than smooth to use, and things that seem intuitive, like playing the next episode don't always happen. Occasionally, the previous episode will autoplay. Seems to be related to how the podcasts are uploaded. All in all, it's a small annoyance for a great free product.

Used to be good. Now full screen ads play every time you pause a podcast, start the app, and in several other frustrating spots. It's difficult to use this app when driving because you have to look away from the road to exit ads so often. Even worse, since the UI update, I have experienced frequent crashes, freezes, and random pausing of podcasts. Needless to say, I am looking for a new app.

I used this app for way longer than I should have (it felt like a drag to have to go through and subscribe to all my podcasts on a new one). It was very glitchy, would never correctly tell me when podcasts I subscribed to had new episodes, and would sometimes overtake my phone and the sound wouldn't turn off even when I would press pause and close out the app (I had to turn my phone off and back on). Those things are not even the worst of it- THE ADS. I know that it's a free app and that ads are necessary but they were so intrusive to the experience and also would have long pauses any time you left and came back to the app. It may not sound that bad buy trust me- it's the worst. There are so many other great podcast apps both paid and free- don't even bother with this one.

I like the app and how you can subscribe and download specific podcasts to listen to off line. I have had issues with it randomly pausing the podcast and the volume suddenly getting very soft so I have to turn up my volume all the way. (These things always happen when I'm not on my phone and it is locked.) They don't happen all the time, but enough to be frustrating. Besides that I like everything else about the app.

The 1 star is for the ability to listen to my favorite podcasts. Other than that, the app can be such a pain to use. It constantly freezes or shuts down. Sometimes it has a hard time loading on certain wifi when all other apps work fine. If I pause a podcast and try to continue it later, it freezes or just starts it over. Same thing when I rewind or fast forward. Sometimes I have to tap the play button several times for it to start playing. There's just too many bugs. Uninstalling.

This app has consistently given me problems for this past year. It plays, and when working, plays well. However, it freezes and won't refresh properly. For example, I will pause the podcast, after I do what I need to do, I'll press play again but the app won't play. I've tried closing the app and restarting, yet that won't always work. Just now, what prompted me to write this, I had to restart my phone in order to get the podcast/app to work. Very frustrating. This happens whether on wifi or data

was better before.. last year I love this app because I could download a whole bunch of things to listen all at once while driving on the road with no interruptions. I don't know what changed but now I get spammed with commercials interrupting what I'm listening to. and what makes it even worse, is that it will overlap commercial up to three times and I hear it repeat over itself because it starts the commercial on top of itself several times over. such a disappointment.

Sometimes it works fine, and sometimes it just crashes. If I pause a podcast, when I hit play again, it needs several seconds to load before it'll start back up. The banner adds they used to have worked well in my opinion, but the addition of forced, full screen, video adds is detrimental not only for the user experience, but also causes the app to crash, and sometimes not even load.

I like that app. I have started using it as I am getting into podcasts. I love being able to download my podcasts for long trips and the selection is great. That being said, I do have a few complaints about it. I use a Samsung that allows me to pause and play audio programs at the top bar. Whenever I pause, the program goes away, making it unable to play it again without completely opening the app. Also, finding podcasts and listening to them from the beginning can be difficult due to the UI.

I love the podcast player! It's perfect as a on-the-go or no-screen-time alternative background noise option. The two things I hate the most are the ads, which pop up whenever I want to play a different podcast, making ease-of-use quite cumbersome. And the second issue I have is not having an ability to import other podcasts, which I have downloaded to my phone, into the app for easy play. Perhaps creating an account login would resolve the latter. Who knows?

I do not understand why this has such a high rating. The only upside is the selection and it is easy to use. Other than that, the load times are ridiculously long that can last my entire drive to work (10-15 mins), crashes 2 or 3 times a day, fails to play the next episode in the cue, and NOW has the annoying habit of failing to even open if I pause it for too long
