Whether you are a podcasting Pro or a complete and total Noob this app makes it easy. I had never done a single podcast, and now within a week I've done six of them! Which background music sound effect transitional music and easy ad placement to build revenue, this app does it all and does it for free! There are no limit to the number of podcasts or hours you can record, and you can even do your own customized graphics and upload them to your podcast without a problem!

This app is simple, but its a bit hard to edit (especially if you want to cut audio clips) and often glitches. Along with that, if you import background music, there's always an awkward three-second pause at the end. If it weren't for the fact I already have based my entire podcast around this platform, I would not use it.

This is pretty good. Better than Podbean for startups. My podcast (The Locksmith Podcast) uses Audacity to record a Google Hangout call which we edit and upload to Anchor. It's been a really smooth process. The biggest issue I've had (I'm the main editor and do all of the backend stuff for my podcast) is that my PC crashes when editing through their site. This isn't much of an issue as it only happens when I'm setting background music, and I edit the rest in Audacity. The analytics are great!

Anchor truly does make creating a podcast accessible for everyone. At a basic level you can literally just open the app and begin recording and over time become familiar and comfortable with additional features. Anchor takes care of distributing your podcast to all the known, and lesser known services. The UI is fresh and intuitive. Thanks to Anchor creating a podcast has become a daily and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Anchor to anyone wanting to start a podcast.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Everytime, I receive the message we cannot connect to the network when I attempt to add my podcast hosts. Unable to create our first podcast because it won't allow me to connect. I have tried disable my wifi and wireless carrier network, both unsuccessful. 09.05.19 - It works now. Thank you for fixing it so quickly.

Great for getting your podcast out there and does the leg work to get it on several platforms, but I recommend buying an audio editing program and not relying on this app. I started out using only the app to edit and every single time I saved it and downloaded it, the edits somehow shifted and all sounded terrible. Since switching to a purchased program I haven't had that issue.

Latest update has absolutely destroyed this app for me. The "enhance sound" button is ridiculously useless, it actually ruins the sound completely, I have licensed music playing in the background and since the latest update it sounds as if its under water. When I record and say I want to save a short clip and record again I literally have to close the app, reopen it, then redownload the recording and add it to the episode. Why oh why fix what ain't broke? the app used to be perfect smh

Last year my coworker sent out this app to everyone and told us we could do voice commercials for advertising our business with the audio and text feature that you offer. We were impressed with the feature and used it often. I lost my phone and upon getting a new one, I was doing other things, but last week I tried to dwnld your app again, only to see the feature isn't there 😕 Why did you all do that? And will you bring it back? I'm really disappointed! Let me know!

This app is a mixed bag but overall is a good free app. At times it has a very finicky play-button that does not always work. Although creator-friendly, I've had complaints from many of my listeners about issues they've had with actually playing episodes. I left feedback for Anchor about this particular problem but heard nothing back about a resolution. They were, however, very helpful with another problem I was having uploading audio. I do hope they continue to expand and work out the bugs.

Anchor is a good app for making podcasts, however, for blind people, using the audio recorder is a little bit harder. What it is, is that I can't preview my audio recording. The play button is nowhere to be found, I was wondering where that would be. Anyway, love the app, keep the updates coming, as well as adding accessibility.

Anchor overall is a good app for people who are learning how to do a podcast, it's very easy to pick up and start using your phone to record has very good sound quality when recording alone in a room. Also background music is fine, I would like more different background sounds to choose from I've been using Anchor for more than a year, also since now being owned by Spotify my podcast can only be heard on Spotify, I would like to broaden my audience to listeners who are on other podcast apps.

This app is pretty easy to use & understand. I use it for making a podcast, so I can't speak for the listening side. But the analytics are all wonky, hence why I took a star off. They don't update like they should, don't show all the listens to each episode, & now the graph is completely wrong. The "week/month/3month" graphs are all the same, but the "all time" graph is VERY different and wrong now. I don't see a way to fix it. If this issue resolved, then I might bump up my rating to 5 stars.

It work pretty well, picks up audio well, but what sucks is you can't lock your phone and blackout the screen, otherwise the podcast recording will end after about 20/30 seconds of that... it makes it difficult to record a podcast while having a busy day moving around where you can't leave your phone screen unlocked in your pocket. Please work on this! Other than that, pretty great free app to start your podcasts on!! 😊🤗👍

I really like how easy this app makes making a podcast. It isn't perfect as it took me a bit to figure out how to set up sections and how to get the sponsored ad recorded. The podcast How To Start a Podcast was helpful but unfortunately only has a few episodes. Would like to see more. The app says you can get the audio from a video clip and I've tried it from different places and no luck.

I use this app to listen to one specific podcast so I can't elaborate on the full capabilities. However, over that last month ever time I go to listen to a new episode the playback stops every few minutes. Every time it happens I have to go back to the homepage and start the episode over from the beginning and fast forward. I just finished an episode that was about 40 minutes and I had to do this 10 times.

What do you expect when you download and use a service for free? It's not perfect. I've had recordings randomly chop themselves up and reinsert audio out of order, out of context, and it's been rough to edit it back into the cohesive order. But Anchor publishes your podcasts for free on multiple platforms- a service many websites and agencies usually charge to do for you, Anchor does it automatically for free. And it's very hard to beat that, as you'd otherwise have to do it yourself!

I wish you could make more money with sponsors but considering the app itself is free, can't complain about that part. The app is very large and takes up too much space. Plus ive had multiple instances of trying to upload a large audio file only for the app to close on me, losing the entire audio file since it doesnt save the audio recorded within the app to your device. Also have been told by friends that the app doesnt send out notification of new episodes of my podcast to subscribers.

I like this apps concept. Record a podcast and it does the work for you. The execution, is abysmal. Confusing to navigate ( I have a friend on here and can't find him to add even though I specifically search his name.), clunky, and flat out broken. The record with friends option doesn't work. And it is NOT our internet connection. The link sent doesn't send the other person into the recording. I guess I'll have to find another way to upload.
