I changed my review to 5 stars because of customer service. However, I'm really super bummed because 3 of my songs that were recorded came out glitchy because I turned off the Wifi in order to avoid ads interrupting a recording in progress by forcibly taking me to their link, and the recording ends early in those cases. I don't think it's a specific company that forces me to their page, I think it's a bug. So it's a lose-lose. I really hope you guys fix it... Cuz this app was fun

It's a really great app. It, like all others, has flaws. This is a quick question to the developers, can y'all please at an 8-bit soundboard? The flaws aren't all that bad, you need a subscription to get all sounds + no ads but I think most are fine without the subscription. It gets really laggy at times which can mess up your recording. The new update fixes some of the lag but it's still there. The new update added "lessons" which are nice but useless unless you're trying to find a start beat.

I love this app! I like that I can quickly come up with great quality beats and songs. I also like that I can access new music packs just by watching an ad (I can't pay a subscription). The only thing that it's missing IMO is the ability to tweak your recording or to create a song and go back and fine tune the track (ex. make vox 1 start on beat one since I tapped it too late, or add bass 3 at a certain point instead of bass 2, or make beat 1 stop after 6 measures instead of 8 etc).

Amazing and useful app. Everything plays/runs smoothly, and the music is good. Many different beats to choose from, and lot's of different beats to create. The app is over all amazing and I don't have any problems. But I suggest you add a few more free sound tracks- not everyone has money to pay for "Premium". Other than that, I highly recommend this app.

For a free app, this is so much fun and can really make beats that sound almost professional. Ads are reasonable and not overly intrusive too. I do wish there was some sort of sequencing feature tho, because if you write something you'd like to record you have to recreate it in real time while recording, which means you have to get one *perfect* take. I like the stuff I've made with it tho, lots of fun!

This app is great! It is honestly fun to create music with a few taps, but I have a small problem. I want to post my song onto YouTube, but I can't share it directly onto YouTube. This would be fine, except I can't save the song as an mp3 file. The only way I can send it onto YouTube is with a screen recorder, but then the sound quality drops. If you change that, and maybe the subscription thing, you'd get a 5/5 from me.

I thought this app was pretty great. I've tried many other apps to make my own music and they said that they were "just as amazing as grage band" then turned out to be horrible. When I tried this I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be amazing. Scince I have an android instead of an apple phone, this is the closest I can get to garage band, and it still works perfectly.

This app has its flaws but somethings that I have to bring up is the fact that there isn't a lot of control without the membership such as no dynamic control no reverb etc. But one feature that I LOVE is the fact that you can watch an ad to get a sound pack. Not a lot of apps do that and it really is a great idea. But overall a really good app to practice music production. Great work guys!

This app is super fun and really well made, but of course every app / game has its downsides, but this one doesn't really have any serious downsides. #1. There's no section for soundtracks that you own, as in, if I unlock a certain sound panel I have to go searching for it in the thousands of soundtracks. #2. I'm on a phone playing with this so to go to the second thing of sounds I have to press a little button that takes me to the second panel of sounds which can be annoying. Overall Super Good

The game itself is cool, I love this, but the ads are too much. There's an ad everywhere you go, and you're forced to watch them. I'm fine with optional ads that have bonus rewards for watching them or something, but if I'm forced to watch something 1 minute long with no redemption, I'm generally annoyed. Not too bad, but just ease down on the ads.

The other reviews said that you could watch a short (30s.) video & be able to download a different set of sounds, so I downloaded this app & I couldn't get any other sounds to play, no matter how many short videos I watched, so I wound up having to pay. The sound library is good, but when you're recording (live) not all the buttons fire at the time. EX.: I hit the flute & the string at the same time & only the flute plays, or the flute will play instantly, but the string is delayed, & now the strings are COMPLETELY OFF BEAT. So now I have to start over from scratch, 2 min. into the beat!!! To eliminate this problem a sequencer would've been nice, just something basic to hold each sound in, so when I have 2 sounds or more coming in at the same time, I know they will all fire at the same time. & maybe a mini tutorial or something, explaining how the FX part at the bottom of the screen, worked would've been nice. Since it's supposed to be 'beginner/novice friendly'. Other than that, great app for playing around with sounds, styles or using for inspiration on your own home studio setup.

I'm not generally the type to leave a review, but this app is pretty darn good! It's simple and intuitive, and the ads aren't intrusive or long. Within 20 minutes of just checking it out, I felt I like I knew it well enough to start recording, and I made two tracks in less than an hour of having the app, which is easy to learn & I keep finding new features. One thing I think is missing is a 5 Second fader to end tracks with. 4 stars because I haven't really checked it out yet.

I love Groovepad. Playing it for a few days. It isnt like other games that only worry about the looks, and then ruin it. Unlike those, Groovepad focuses on fixing bugs. I have not encountered any, so this proves that the creators focus on the players point of view. I love the music I can make, and that they dont make you buy everything, and you can get things by watching a simple ad. And another thing, i barely see ads. I hate when games make me watch an ad every two seconds. Thanks for this.

I gotta give it a 3. It's a fantastic app really. Has good beat sets. Has a good layout. Has an easy tempo and phrasing indicators. If you watch a video you get free samples. I've had a fantastic time playing. Can really get a jam on exactly the way you need it. Can roll on 2 tracks mixing 2 sample packs. The sounds come in packs so there's no mix and match if you want an easy beat. But if you press stop ad. If you stop recording ad. If you change sets ad. If you save a set ad. That's why 3 Thx

I'm a painter, I make sculptures, decoritive lamps, and do a lot of digital images. When I was told about a music making app I jumped on it. Much to my surprise, I'm also gifted to create audio art. I like that the app offers variety, and allows users to get more options through watching a couple short videos. Thank you Groovepad for bringing out a talent I didnt know I have.

Blown away by this app! 👏 It's the ultimate creativity release, and it's incredibly easy to put songs together, I'm thoroughly impressed! And the fact that they offer everything for free is the best part - I have mad respect for that, so I'm purchasing a year subscription anyway to help support. The only things that'd make this app even better is if there was a way to change the tempo, to fade the song out, to see both A&B sides on the same screen, and to use 2 different sound packs at once.

The ads are frequent but not intrusive, which I like a lot. Also, the massive variations of "soundboards" you can choose from and the FX menu is the icing on the cake for me, allowing you to create a plethora of awesome songs that you can create for free. This is also really good for simply killing time as well. Definitely worth the install, if you ask me.

I feel like this app is between a 3 and 4 star. Watching ads let's you download new "sound boards/Groovepads". It has been skipping a lot lately during recording and for some reason, it turns off during playback of what I recorded. The shutting off may be my fault, since no other apps shut off in use, I don't believe it is my phone or settings. This is a quick rating and is in no way comprehensive. I have yet to try out many of the features. I have made 2 beats that I like though
