Very flawed app. I've been trying for months to reset my password. A reset link is sent to my email, and by the time I click on the link and enter a new password, it tells me the link has expired... and so we start going around in circles. When I try again to request a password change link, it tells me that I've had too many attempts. I'm just sick and tired of getting notification emails I constantly receive, even though I repeatedly unsubscribed to these emails.

What happened to this app? It used to be helpful and easier to use, now it's just disorganized and confusing! I can't ever find what I'm looking for. The UI is not intuitive whatsoever. I went in to feed settings and changed it to show "most recent posts" first, then it says my selection expires in 60 days?! What is the purpose of that? Also when I click on a notification, it NEVER takes me to the post, just opens up the main feed and I have to try and search for it, which almost never works.

Overall I think this is an okay app. The idea of sharing with your neighbors is really nice. I like that we can post items to sell etc. However there seems to be some things the developers should iron out. For example, when I get a notification and I click on it, it never takes me to the post I was notified for. Just why? Another issue is that when I made a post, I don't get any notifications for my own post. The notifications are on, but I just don't get anything. I hope these issues get fixed!

Really hard to read the feed with so many sponsored posts. Almost makes the app unusable for browsing. But worst of all, it is extremely hard to find new and urgent information on safety related issues. We've intermittently had gunfire very close to our house over the past few years. We know people are posting about it, but the posts simply don't get surfaced. There really should be some sort of chronological sorted view of the feed.

Until the following issues are resolved, I can't go up from 2 stars. 1. When I go to another app, this app closes and restarts and all progress is lost. If I'm in the middle of a post and I forget information, I go to my texts to retrieve the info, and return to the app, I'll have to restart everything; very, very annoying. 2. Finding your posts takes too many steps to get to. They should be found within a click or two, and made easy to locate. Posting is easy, locating posts not so much.

Biggest complaint is that there doesn't appear to be a way to sort the posts. I keep seeing the same posts, some are months old. As I scroll down I see newer posts buried in the timeline. This makes the app not very useful or relevant. Also, there are more ads than actual posts from neighbors. Recently it has started crashing and has to be restarted, which is annoying. Overall it is not a user-friendly app and could stand some tweaking.

This app used to be good back when it was simpler, and easier to navigate. Now, it's messy, and when I attempt to access my business page in order to post or place an ad, I click "switch account", then wait...wait...wait forever, everything locks up and can't do a thing. Have to power down my phone and restart it. Trying to access the contact page to connect with cs is yet another runaround that takes you out of the app to the Internet to log in again. Just not worth the aggravation.

I just LOVE how frequently it freezes, crashes, doesn't respond, and, my favorite part, takes forever to load while I'm using it, if it loads at all. Everything I'm looking for in an app. I can't STAND stable apps that load quickly and work flawlessly. That just makes using it unenjoyable if it actually works. Edit: You can sign up on Nextdoor with a phone number on a browser, but you CANNOT use it to sign in on the app! This app just keeps getting better and better with its lack of features 🥰

As most do, we love the app. The only problem is there isn't a way to provide feedback. So, through this review seems to be the only way. 1. In writing messages in PM, the text box doesn't enlarge as you type, making it hard to review what you've typed. You can only see three lines. This definitely needs updating. 2. The home screen shows you news and posts from around the country, not your selected neighborhoods. You must navigate to your neighborhood everytime you open the app.

I like the idea of the app, sharing info with neighbors, creating community, etc, but the programming is just kind of weak. You can change the settings of the order of posts so that most recent is on top, but that is not the default. When you try to search posts, you do not have the option of how to sort through posts, so it makes refinding a post almost impossible. When I click on a post from email, the app almost never opens that post either, until the third attempt.

App user beware! There is a feature within Nextdoor that allows it to send snail mail to your neighbors to join the app, and it will list your name and address if you dont turn it off. Go to your account, click on settings, and then privacy. At the very bottom of the page, you can toggle off the feature that allows Nextdoor to use your info to send invitation letters to neighbors. I do not like this feature, but other than that, the app is good. Contains ads.

Good idea, but not executed well. UI is erratic. Switch to your business account and you may, or may not be able to get back to your personal account. Ad promotional page is a perpetual nuisance. Update: tried the online web version instead. It's even worse than the app. Ridiculous lag times and/or freezes while attempting to view news feed. The web version is nearly unusable.

The latest update makes it very hard to use the app on a mobile device. Now when i try to create a post i get prompted to add a photo or use a map. This prompt consists of 2 boxes that cover a big part of the screen. When i type, the boxes get moved even further up, and, as a result, I am not able to see the message area anymore. I couldn't find a way to make the boxes disappear. Why on earth would the devs implement something like this? Has it even been tested? Thanks for nothing. Useless....

This app has the potential to really help bring neighborhood and community together for various reasons. However, after using it for several months, I find this app having some major issues that makes it disorganizing to use: 1. Too many advertising. I might see 2 neighborhood posts on my "home" tab then immediatelly following that, several advertisements. 2. When looking for things to purchase, "finds/for sale", there isn't an automatic selection that lets you choose distance. You have to go through several clicks to even get to that option. Need to click "see all" then choose "just your neighborhood". Not sure why it is not automatically just in your neighborhood. 3. Overall, the app does not feel intuitive in helping one get to what they are looking for.

So, I LOVE this app. It has so many features, and an asthetic layout. So many ideas packed into a great app idea. But, I've never had an app slow down my phone to this degree. Its a dramatic change. I even closed out everything and optimized my phone, but it still seems to crash at every turn. Could be because it was advertised om the Joe Rogan podcast today and maybe the server is having problems. Still, it's a great app and I hope to keep it, granted they speed it up.

I like the content on nextdoor & enjoy being part of the community. however, the app really sucks. Search for sale items is completely broken. for ex: if you try to sort on distance or price, the list becomes super short and it's obviously not correct because if you remove an filters the list is much larger. the results don't load many times at all beyond the same initial list. also, there is a huge delay w/ messaging and w/ making changes to sale items (or it won't post at all).

I really like this idea and it seems like the developers put a lot of effort into building out a lot of different functionality. BUT that doesn't matter because the insane amount of ads essentially makes the app unusable. I understand the need for ads, and I'm supportive of them being there (although I do think a premium ad-free version should be an option) but it's literally every other post. LITERALLY! I get it, money supports the business and all that, but be reasonable.

The app works well enough, but the interface is not intuitive and since functionality is missing/confusing. I used to be able to edit my For Sale listings, but now after I edit it, it just takes me to a screen to connect to PayPal. I don't want to connect PayPal, I just want to edit my post!! Very frustrating. Also, I can't send pictures in private messages. Again, quite annoying.
