Very buggy app especially for audio book controls. it started out ok a few years ago and steadily got more unstable until it's nearly useless with Audible. it no longer even shows which chapter your on anymore and the controls often open as a blank screen. if there were an aftermarket app that controlled my two Alexa units I'd use it instead. hmmm.. Maybe there is? time to ask the duck.

Devices are randomly dropped then randomly reappear with different names. I have to guess what's what. Spend lots of time trying to install devices that used to work. And for even more fun, replace your router with an eero system! Don't believe the lies about how easy it is. I've been trying for over a week now with extremely limited success. They have been no help whatsoever. Save your money and buy something else.

I would rate higher if this stupid thing would stop telling me every sports update in the world. 2 years ago I thought it would be nice to get sport scores, boy was I wrong. I ended up receiving, injuries, trades, game times. Basically, everything I didn't want to know every 2 minutes for 3 days until I went nuts. I canceled everything, and for some stupid reason, it has never stopped. At this point, I'm having arguments with a stupid AI over notifications. I've tried everything but smashing it.

Amazon's changes to Prime Music are a betrayal. They switched to shuffling songs from being able to select an individual artist or playlist, limited skips where before it was unlimited, and play constant Amazon Music Unlimited ads for features Alexa had since 2014. It's a bait-and-switch for loyal Prime subscribers like me. This is extremely disheartening. I will not pay an additional subscription fee for services I had previously. I would rather subscribe to any other service out of principle.

Can't remove annoying notification of "nearby Bluetooth devices". Then you have to set up your shopping list to not show promotions at grocery stores. My partner walked out with so many unnecessary items they thought I added to the list because of this "feature". They never use the app for anything other than shopping list. So they didn't realize I didn't add it.

After the latest update, the shopping deals has become so much harder to use. Please bring back the categories for the 'other' deals and stop capping the total display at 100 deals. I want to see them all! The search function often doesn't find the correct coupons as well. I will update my review if this ever gets fixed.

This app was excellent prior to downsizing their staff. Now it can't even tell me the weather unless I say it a very specific way. I used to be able to check showtimes, or what businesses were open in my area. The convenience of having these devices is greatly lessened in quality. I would definitely choose another product if I were going to purchase again. We have several Alexa devices in our home and it's disappointing how poor the qualities become.

I have used this app for 8 or more years in multiple different Android devices and the result is the same. is app is so laggy! It is constantly freezing and it doesn't freeze. trying to do the same thing each time either. If it wasn't for my smart home devices I wouldn't even use it. I would have uninstalled it a long time ago. he was think with all the technology Amazon does have together that they could figure this out

Echo show 5: The home screen is a mess and No matter how many times I remove areas like skills or shopping lists they always come back after reopening the app. I don't need the home screen to be clogged with things I don't need. Smart camera cannot connect, even after rebooting. Very sluggish and doesn't what's play radio stations. It stops playing radio stations intermittently

I pull up to the house and see the outside light isn't on. No problem, it's controlled by Alexa. I start the Alexa app; it just shows a white screen and loading icon. I have an internet connection and we are in range of my wifi. I get out of the car, climb the porch steps in the dark, open the door, and tell Alexa via an Echo to turn on the lights. The app is still a white screen. The app is good in the house (where you don't really need it) but useless away. Do better, Amazon.

The app takes forever to load. Says my connected thermostat is unresponsive. Will sometimes finally load the thermostat....if I wait long enough. Not good enough - I need it to just work. Will probably be getting rid of the thermostat soon. It looks great in the house, and work well on its own...but the purpose of it was to be able to remotely control it - and thats a fail.

This app is mandatory for anyone with an Echo device, but the user experience is extremely frustrating. The app is slow and sluggish and often completely unresponsive. I have to quit it and relaunch it all the time, it's so annoying. I don't understand how an app made by one of the richest companies in the world can perform so poorly. Please fix this and make the experience a better one!

it just keeps saying, "Get help on your Alexa app." I keep looking for help. don't understand how to connect it to anything. it doesn't see my game console or my TV. My TV and game console both have an alexia app that opens for a second and then closes. Pandora isn't a listed music service... I'm not liking this thing. I know other people who love this thing, I can not figure her out.

Somehow keeps getting worse. It's disappointing, this system showed great promise when it came out. The last four years it has declined greatly month to month. Voice commands that used to be incidental and easy are now a struggle. Basic features (toggle) don't function. I'm shopping around for another solution now

This app still has a bug that fails to recognize your internet password needed to finalize the installation of devices like Echo. Double checked to make sure it was the right password. It was. Reset the Echo to factory default. Didn't work. Cleared out cache for app. Didn't work. Re installed the app. Didn't work. Because of this error, my machine is a useless brick.

App and skills are very disappointing. We use to use the shopping list, but now it wants to force us to use its "pre-made list", making it a multiple step process for each item. No longer useful. Some of the skills, such as MusicCast, just don't work. Isn't the home automation center it's hyped to be. I'm rethinking using Alexa based devices for home automation. Just thinking that maybe the app was written by Google to steer us towards their products.

I have several devices. I have had them for years now. i love the music and i love the sound quality. also, the unbelievable amount of music available. I seriously have not been able to ask for something that is not available. if so, i just ask a different way and it was played. 100% the best music selection and sound quality available. That is my opinion, and I know music. Firestick HDMI streams the ultimate HD sound waves. You select your system and you will not be disapointed.

This is the slowest app on my phone. It takes about 7 seconds after I choose an option for it to continue. I've force stopped, uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared data and cache, nothing works. It's been like this for years. There's no updates and it's never gotten better. I have a Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra. My phone is very efficient and so are the apps on it except for this app. Unfortunately, I have Alexa devices in my home that I need access to, so I'm stuck with this app.
