This app worked perfectly fine for a good while. However, after a recent update, it asks me for my location every. Single. Time. I open the app. In addition, half the time I open the app now it bugs out, says it ran into an error, and I have to manually kill it and open it back up. Asking for my location needs to be a one time thing or have a toggle.

App works 50% of the time so it gets a close to 50% review. I'll click a link that pulls up the app and it loads the content for like 30 seconds and then it goes to a blank white loading screen, this can happen on a stable or unstable connection, Gigabit WiFi or 5gLTE , it's all the same. It makes me just physically show up to the store or I just use the regular website.

This app is fantastic when it actually works. I haven't been able to even use my app in about three weeks.. Everytime I open it I'm greeted by, "Sorry we're having a problem with the connection." I downloaded the new update thinking, "Okay they fixed it!" Nope... I have been able to access my profile page for some reason, but no app at all. Not able to search or see main page. Can you please fix this. I'm super disappointed in this app.

Constantly won't load a page. Even trying to view by lowest item first it freezes up. And literally as I'm looking at a page all the information changes. It takes a couple minutes to catch up. Might as well just use my browser. This is nowhere near how the technology should be, especially from a tech store. It's a joke

(Update): Crashes a second or two after booting to home screen while loading ads/sales/etc. I can safe the app from crashing if I view any item as soon as it opens, but it'll crash as soon as I return to home. Will restore original score when resolved. (Original) A good app, but has some issues. Navigating deals isn't as easy as it used to be. App rarely shows me logged in on home page even though I am.

This app is fine, but one major bug that needs fixed: If you are buying a phone and activating it, if you select create a new account, there is no way to back out of this option. If you exit the app, sign out, whatever, and you go back to add a phone again to purchase, it keeps adding it to the original order and won't let you out of the carrier portal, or delete phones from the cart. Having to reinstall to see if it fixes the issue.

App has always been mediocre, but now it's fully broken. I sign in (either using Google or using username and password) and the app crashes. I was able to browse successfully for a few minutes until I tried signing in. As soon as it brought me to my account overview page, app crashed. This is repeatable. How you sign in doesn't matter, app crashes. My phone has plenty of storage, available RAM, and nothing hogging the CPU. This is the app, 100%.

Purposefully bad at displaying clearance and open box. I get ads for this all the time. Why is it that when I click on the clearance price option I want, I'm led to the full price page? And there's no option to switch condition to open box? There's a roundabout way to get to it through search but come on, this feels bad at best and deceptive at worst. Please fix.

Unable to connect to server. It doesn't matter if I am on wifi or not. Even trying to open the app IN THE STORE I received the error 'we're sorry, something went wrong. We're having trouble with the connection. ' error occurs. Retries don't fix this. Clearing app data, uninstall and reinstall doesn't fix. Most recent Android update is applied. Restarting phone doesn't fix. Resetting network settings doesn't fix. If this gets fixed soon, I'll update my review.

Good prices, good products, reliable yetboring and frustrating app. It does everything it is designed to do but is too fussy about terms or words used in the search. Also hard to see multiple products in search results because the words are small text and photos are too small, and the blinding white space all around that makes me somtimes search another store. Also the product description is very minimal, not helpful. I have to find that elsewhere and may or may not bother going back to bestbuy.

The issue I have with the Best Buy app is with how poorly optimized it is. There are so many issues with the amount of ads and the amount that has to be loaded from individual pictures, descriptions, prices, etc., that the app will frequently not load more than half of a page. Literally everything is loaded individually. I haven't had this issue with the Amazon or HEB apps. This is on a Samsung S8+ with either 5G or with Gigabit WiFi. Please optimize your app.

Update: 6/9/22. App still will not load, 9 months after original review. --- Over the past few months, the app has become increasingly buggy. Now, the app has stopped working entirely. It won't load despite two re-installs and after sending a few error reports over the course of a week. If Best Buy wants to compete with Amazon, they need to do much better.

Great app and very easy to use and place orders. I had no trouble adding my earned coupons at checkout. The only issue is when I check inventory at stores, it will say a certain store has it but once I get there they are out of stock which is infuriating to me. Besides that everything else is great. I love the fact you can save items to a list and add them later to your shopping cart. Update:6-18-21 for some reason, I can't delete items off my saved list.

This app rocked in the past, but now is sluggish as hell and often freezes or crashes. Pain in the ass to use, and I dread needing to. Amazon is far larger and their app is feature-packed, and that app runs smoothly on the same device. Best Buy's app has no excuse, I think. Aliexpress also dwarfs Best Buy, and their app runs very smoothly on the same device as well.

Has crashed a few times lately. Never had that problem before. Also I cannot log into my account. Sometimes will shutdown but usually just cycles back to the landing page. Have used the app on and off for years and never had any problems until now. I'll also add to what someone else said, if something is unavailable then do not show it in the search results. Or show those items seperately at the bottom of the search results.

5/5/20 as of right now, the app is broken. The splash screen gets stuck and won't go away. The app seems to be functioning if you tap on areas of the screen that have links. For example, if you tap the top right corner, your cart shows up but if you try and use the back button, its stuck at the splash screen again. This app seems to be broken every other update. Just get it working and leave it alone guys!!!!!

It fails to open pages and is slow. Very frustrating! This has been an issue for some time. I was hoping it could get fixed but functionality is still poor. I shop less from Best Buy because of this now. I wonder how does Best buy control the quality of the app. Please pass this along to the IT manager. It's time for them to actually get something done. Thank you. P.S. I don't want to be perceived as rude, but it is necessary to say that IT are lacking vision and likely skills too.

Updated review! Old review complained that it consistently crashed and was unusable. Only maybe a week after that did it start working. I had issues trying to get the hot items. Like the Xbox Series X (gave me an error at the end of the process.) But I'm unsure if it's due to the app or the supply and demand. But I have since been able to use my PC to get an ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3090 OC gaming GPU. And got the series X from Microsoft. So I'm all set.
