Breaks constantly, buggy, borderline useless since about half of the times I've tried to use it I can't even get through the ordering process, so I just give up and go elsewhere. Really pathetic effort for what's supposed to be the biggest fast food chain in the world, imho. Edited to add: uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work. Also can't cancel an order even though the restaurant I ordered from can't do mobile orders at the moment. There's a cancel order button, it just doesn't work. Sad.

This McDonald's app is the worst. It hardly ever works. Then when it does works, it doesn't always credit your account with points. What the app does well is deduct your points. McDonald's says the app "should" always work. Well newsflash it doesn't. Also, deleting and reinstalling the app does not, I repeat does not fix most problems. If you really want to fix the problem, fix it. I have contacted the CEO, via email, and other management. No response. Also, the website below to contact is fake.

The coupons are nice when they actually load. However no matter how the app updates, no matter what phone is used, the app shuts down almost instantly and cannot load properly almost at all. Removing items as well shuts everything down. If you are not opening the app, placing the exact order you want in less than one minute and getting out, there will be issues. Update: while it still crashes from time to time, the app is substantially more stable.

When this app decides to work, it's pretty convenient. But a lot of the time it sucks. It's unresponsive, so navigating between items and pages takes forever and is frustrating. Now I'm running into an issue where I can't put in a new order because it thinks my previous order from like a week ago is still in progress, even though the page it takes me to shows that it was completed already. This app is quickly becoming functionally unusable.

The app has some great deals. That's the only pro. It is a horribly glitchy app, very laggy, doesn't open half the time without having to wait a minute or more to force close multiple times until it finally opens correctly (no other apps I have do this, and I've reinstalled). Terrible performance for any app these days, let alone one from a multibillion $ Corp. Also, ordering for pickup is useless, they don't start making your food till you get there. Also can't undo an order to a wrong address

Was good but now it's trash! Sessions kept being interrupted more than once while placing an order, when it keeps reminding me where the order is being placed. App hung constantly. Spent 45 minutes of my time that I was trying to save when placing an order for breakfast, would have been more convenient to just go to the damn restaurant myself and place the order. I would have had to pay an extra $5 without the mobile only 30% off deal. Would have been worth it just to keep my sanity! FIX IT!😡

Works well for the most part. I have a suggestion however. For curbside orders, you should implement a way for drivers to indicate on the app if they have not received their order yet after a certain time has passed. Sometimes, I will place an order for curbside and end up waiting at the stall indefinitely with no one showing up. That's when I have to go inside or go through the drive-thru, which defeats the whole purpose of curbside. Thankfully it does not happen a whole lot.

App is buggy and sometimes non-functional. Gives you the option to add favorite locations to place orders easier, then bugs out and says you have no favorites every other time you open the app. Has a button to change order location but sometimes this function is all together broken and can't be clicked without rerouting to the menu screen. Wish it ran a bit smoother

Typically I love the app because it's convenient and gives great opportunity to order without having to dig around in your wallet and it saves time because you don't have to sit there and give your order over the intercom. However I still believe you should able to order a whole meal if you've accumulated enough points. And what happened to my previous orders I can no longer see them not any of them at all

Edit: The McDonald's refunded me for the order after I contacted them, which was very kind of them. Thank you. :) I changed the location of my pickup order, had to switch to a different app, and when I came back to complete my order, the location changed back without me noticing so I ordered to the wrong location. Usually the app has been okay, but this was not a cool experience

10/8/2023 As suggested, I tried reinstalling the app, but it still didn't work. Useless. Was a 2 star rating, but now a 1 star for making me waste my time doing what you suggested which didn't fix the issue. Can't add points from my receipts. The receipts are less than a week old. I even tried one receipt issued same day, but you still can't add the points. I've tried multiple times. Everything is filled out correctly as well. What is the problem?

Had trouble with the app recognizing my email. The IT suggested a new email to use the app. This work around worked great until a few weeks ago. Now the app limits your device to one account. Even though they cannot find my original email in their system, the app is requiring that I use it. And it wants me to complete fields that are not shown and loops around to the login email prompt. The standard delete cashe/data and uninstall is the response. Didn't work then. Doesn't work now.

I love the deals you get in the app. When it's actually working at least. The app is so buggy and broken it makes ordering a headache. Not to mention the location will automatically change to whatever mcdonalds is closest to you so god forbid you try to order on the way home for pick up. Now you gotta drive all the way back to the one by the office cuz that's where it sent it. It could be as simple as adding a feature to TURN OFF automatic location. Or how about and actual CANCEL order button 😤

Crashes randomly, losing my entire order. Changes the store from which I ordered and provides no way to cancel or fix it. Provides no way to get a refund for incorrectly-filled orders, nor any way to cancel an order. After four bad experiences in a row, the discounts are not worth the headaches. Uninstalling. Will attempt a re-install and re-review if these issues are ever resolved.

This app works great....until you are in the drive thru. Then it wants to take FOR FU**ING EVER just to get the code to display for the offer you want to use, or to do anything at all for that matter! There's times I can't even use it (which is SUPER frustrating) due to it's slowness! (And it's NOT because of MY connection - mine is just fine for everything else)So I just make sure I do everything in the app I need to do BEFORE I get to the restaurant. Kind of ridiculous, but at least it works!!

New update: Adding a deal to your order locks you out of deals for 15 minutes, even if you don't place the order. Not a bug, just how it is now. Price with the deal isn't calculated until you apply it and view at checkout screen. So if you get a deal for say, 20% off $5 or more, you won't know if that's a better deal than any of the other available offers (like 1 for 1), but in doing so you are locked out of deals for the next 15 minutes. In 15 minutes I can find better food than McDonalds.

Great app for those of us with "ordering anxiety"! Makes it super easy to order anything, customize anything, and pick it up from "my" McDonald's down the street. Occasionally the app will take a little time to recognize that I've pulled into the parking lot (you check in and let them know via the app where you'd like to pick up), but I think that's an issue with my ancient phone, not the app itself.

App keeps closing out, no matter how many times you uninstall/reinstall. Doesn't let you add your receipt when you don't use the app to order from, constantly says to "check internet connection" or that you have to "restart the app" when I've done it multiple times. Won't give you the rewards that you know you should have. So many glitches and freeze points.
