Terrible app for looking for work in your area, constantly gives you jobs out of state that are way to far away even if you specify your location in the settings. Also the sign up process is garbage if you want to return to the previous sign up step you need to repeat it! Absoluley annoying and unessasary. Been adding up complaints since I got the app. not worth it! Uninstall!

Poor and terrible platform. Users can't delete messages in a simple way. Notifications? Haha several users and I don’t receive notifications when receive a message. No. And it is not a settings thing. This app is ridiculous. Only works good on the recuiting end

Overall not too shabby, fairly easy to use the filter options need a little work tho, it's hard to tell what locations it's actually searching for you even if you select a place, as well as categorizing different job types/names might be nice to have something more easily searchable.

The app was working fine until the new update. It no longer gives the option of signing in if you have an account. I was prompted to enter my email and school and instead of going to log in it had me answer starting account questions and resent me a temporary password. I was able to log into the site fine though.

Sometimes your job search history effects the recommended algorithm and the job pool becomes very similar and repetitive. If you are looking for a diverse range of jobs you will have to manually search each field. Other than that the app is really helpful and flows quite nicely.

The UI for this app is awful. For many versions now the Inbox has been super buggy. The Messages header is like 200 pixels down from the top main header. This makes messages not take up the full screen height and they scroll under the Messages header. Device: Samsung Galaxy S8. Resolution: Happens in any resolution set on screen.

The website works, but the app is irritating. It doesn't work at all. I have never been able to use it ever since the website asked me to download it even though it says I'll have a better experience in the app. Everytime I try to use the app, I put in my email and it asks me to enter the code sent to my email, but I don't get any code in my email. I click resend code and still nothing.

Hasn't recommended me a job/internship even remotely related to my major, sets my class to sophomore every time I try to set it to freshman, and doesn't even show applicable jobs/internships no matter how many filters I set. I don't understand what the point of this app is if I have to manually scroll through listings, can't upload a resume, and it doesn't show the requirements for the listing unless I spend a minute or 2 scrolling through the description. A waste of time.

There are so many opportunities and the platform is fairly easy to use and supplies helpful suggestions. I just wish the favorited jobs that are expiring would show up right on the home page. It takes a bit of navigation to find them.

The ui is pretty, but lacks many necessary features. For example, there is no way to limit the internship results to only show employers looking for students of your grade level. So you have to wade through all the internships that don't even apply to you before finding one you actually qualify for.

Zero synchronicity between app and website. Favorites aren't saved, applications may or may not go through, and the UI is abysmal. My net takeaway from this app is email notifications that I have to sign in to disable. Even then, no notification boxes are checked and I still get emails. Nothing but problems with this app.

No different than the web version even worse. After you review a company the back button takes you back to the home page and you lose your place where you were in the list. You have to start over. At least in web version you can navigate using the browser navigation buttons.

basically functional, but missing so many features that the mobile site is probably more useful. no ability to sort favorite jobs, no way to look specifically at events you are registered for, cant see what jobs have quick apply until you click through to the description, among other missing quality of life features.

Simple yet frustrating, apply to positions are quick and oftentimes painless. However, the job boards aren't updated so many of the opportunities have either already been filled or aren't being considered anymore. Having a large number of applications accidently go through for a position that's been filled already isn't just a waste of time but also a bit embarrassing.

UPDATE: So I gave handshake a 3 star review back in July stating that it had the works to be a top notch app, but didnt since they lacked an option to search for remote jobs; an extremely important feature for job searching. Well, they've updated their website and app to search for remote positions! Good on them for doing this. I can see myself using the app far more than LinkedIn now.

It can be a good app but only if you're a student. I've recently graduated and haven't been able to sgn up to join the site because I no longer have access to my student email account. Don't understand why there's no option to register with a regular email account. Even my college wasn't sending notifications using the school email addresses. On the website, handshake provided listings for internships & job openings currently posted. However to apply or for information the app may be needed.

Great app but all features aren't working as designed. I'm receiving tons of emails from recruiters but when I check the Handshake app for the messages they don't appear. Because of this I am unable to respond to the messages and may be missing out on great opportunities. I would have given a 5 star rating if mt inbox actually received the messages.
