Description of Observa: Earn Money From Gigs

Join the 400,000+ individuals who have become a secret shopper (AKA an Observer). Getting started is simple! You just head to stores, snap some photos, and answer a couple of questions. Every now and then, you’ll also speak to a store associate. That’s it!

Observa is a fun, fast, and easy way to make PayPal money. Gigs pay between 3 and 25 dollars, and you’ll usually get paid within 72 hours. A side hustle as a mystery shopper is a great way to earn money for dinner dates, movie nights, and other special occasions!

Yes! Observa has been in business since 2016. Today, we work with leading brands like KIND and Beyond Meat. Observers complete opportunities at well-known retailers like Safeway, 7-Eleven, and Walmart.

Do you have opportunities outside of the United States?

Right now, the vast majority of our opportunities are currently in the United States and Canada. Observa is always working to get additional clients, in order to provide more opportunities for you to earn money as a secret shopper. If you turn your notifications on, you'll be notified when there are new opportunities to make PayPal money near you. In the meantime, check out our paid photo challenges, which run every few weeks and can be completed from anywhere.

If Observa rejects an observation, is the data still sent to the customer?

Never. At Observa, we only want to pass along high-quality data to our customers, so we discard data from rejected observations. We only reject an observation if the secret shopper didn’t follow the instructions correctly. Right now, more than 90% of observations are accepted.

Pay$$ Less than 3rd world countries (I think!) A lot of work for next to nothing pay,. However it's rather enjoyable work and you feel quite a sense of accomplishment when through. They are extremely strict with pictures and it can be difficult to navigate initially. If I could I would give it 3.5* very easy to use the app itself.

I really like this app and it is good to make money while traveling. There are some things that could make this app better. When I accept jobs, most times i hace to go to the map bc theyve disappeared from the list. Also you have to close out if the app everytime you do a job so that the app will put you in the spot you are. Its like it needs a constant restart. Overall its pretty cool and I'll keep working for Observa.

I absolutely love Observa and this app. I started mystery shopping with Observa over the weekend and I have not had any problems with the app. No issues at all. The app is easy to navigate and it is efficient. I am kicking myself for not starting two weeks ago, in order to get in on the bonus campaign that ended yesterday. 😪

I do many similar microtask and audit jobs on apps and this has to be the biggest waste of time one that I have tried so far. I completed about half of an audit, had to take so many pictures for $5.00 before I gave up and left. If you are very desperate I guess you could give it a shot but there are much easier higher paying jobs and apps exactly like this. They are really taking advantage of people.

Not a bad idea. But needs improvements. I'm being show jobs all the way in New Jersey and I live in New York. Distance limiter maybe? The camera functions in the app need a major upgrade. We have no control over how these stores are layed out, so when you guys are requesting pictures of entire sections from a store with tight isles, you guys don't accept the picture if "it's too zoomed in." If you would allow us to zoom in and out and improve the other camera functions in the app it'd be nice

This app is incredibly user friendly, there are plenty of opportunities in surrounding areas that make it very beneficial and easy to earn money. It's great to be apart of making shoppers experiences easier to find what they are looking for as well. ! There is nothing more frustrating then either not being able to find the product you want or finding the empty spot where your product should be!! How wonderful it is to see that Observa actually takes the time and cares about their consumers.

Compared to other app's of it's kind, this is a very clean, intuitive app. You can easily complete very simple assignments, earning a few extra bucks! The only negative thing is, there are way to many shop's on a waitlist. Also the shop's listed are pretty far away from the desired distance selected. Other than those 2 very minute thing's, this app is an all around PLUS! I'm looking forward to being a part of this growing community,Thank's! Help yourself & this platform"Observe"your surroundings

I started this app back in 2017 I do believe. On and off been able to make a little bit of money. So of the observation a hard to get photo of the whole section, but they would say take smaller pics of each shelf, but then would have a problem paying you because you did not get clear photos of whole section. So would have go back and redo. Which at times was way out the way.

Frustrating to try to use- completed an observation and clicked submit. All of my photos disappeared and my submission came up with a large portion of my comments gone. Very disappointed as I live 30 minutes away from the location. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but still no submission showing for that location. This would have been ideal for some extra cash if I could have gotten it to work.

The good: Observa pays above average for what the work is. I am often paid within hours so it's one of my favorites in a pinch. I have had two observations rejected and both were small things I missed in the instructions. If you read carefully, the jobs are pretty simple. The bad: App freezes when switching between options (specifically switching between my opportunities and the map and opening the list view) necessitating reboot. Overall a decent app with decent and fast compensation.

I've only had this for a few days and have completed 3 tasks for a total of $3 that went straight into my PayPal account. It's super easy and can't lie pretty fun. So far the only problems I've had is when it sends me notification for task in my area when I click on them the app opens to the map and shows my location is in a complete different state. Not sure how to fix that since my profile says my zip code and the amount of miles I'm willing to go. Over all great app.

There's more than enough detail to be able to complete any observations. App is simple and works well. Only downside is the change won't cover the gas it takes. I could do this as a real job if there were one. I'm disabled and can't abide the 9 to 5s. The upside is it is very interesting and I had fun. I'm just beginning with the app but had no problems other than not catching all info. at the beginning. The people I met were friendly and funny. Great design ! I love it.

so Really good way to make a little extra cash if your careful picking and choosing the opportunities. I have accidentally chosen some that require a good bit of work. I would occasionally like to speak with a person instead of emails. Much faster and easier when on site. Another suggestion for the Observa app team, the ability to reserve a project would be nice. Overall though a wonderful side gig. And it can be anywhere you arey.

Not working for this app ever again. Took tons of photos and they asked for the entire baking set in three photos which was impossible to get all off with 3 of and get the product in the photo plus it was impossible to get head on photos because of the length of set. Spent an hour and a half on 15 min. project trying to get perfect photos. Paid me for a couple of visits in the past so 2 stars. I'm done and uninstalling.

First impressions are really positive!! The app is super to use, simple, responsive, and runs well! There's a plethora of available offers, the description of the offers are clear, concise, and super easy to follow!! I've not accepted any offers at this time, I'm interested in seeing how long it takes from accepting the offer to receiving payment, that could really sway my opinion either way significantly!!

This has been a great legit way to make some extra cash when I have been in a pinch. Sure, it isn't a lot and sometimes there is way too many photos to take, and sometimes for some reason the photos aren't accepted 3v3n though they mirror the examples, but overall it's great and you get to keep some stores in check. The only thing I would wish they would fix is to add more ways to get paid, and to pay instantly.

The app itself is a great idea and seems to be running ok. I haven't used long enough for a cash out. My biggest problem is that they didn't even attempt to make it fit the size of the phone screen so it's hard to hit the icons. And its VERY hard to navigate between wait listed opportunities and ones that are not etc...

Opened the app and was instantly offered 198 jobs -- all on the East Coast. Thought it might be a map glitch, but no -- the list view returns the same results. Uninstalling. UPDATE: Map issue fixed, but I'm uninstalling again. Why? The tasks are those of a full-time merchandiser, for very little money. In addition to taking photos, you will need to speak with employees, assess inventory... Just read the details of the requirements, then ask yourself if you really need eight dollars that badly.
