Constant unwanted substitutions No matter how many times I click "no substitutions" I'm constantly getting products I do not want at a higher price. It's not worth getting delivery if I have to make an inconvenient trip to the store to return unwanted items. The in store coupon clipping is weird and unintuitive and rarely works the way I expect. This app makes me less likely to choose Safeway.

I literally have to call my therapist after using this app, everytime. In order to pass anger management classes, they should have you use this app to see if you can stop yourself from losing ur entire mind and breaking everything that has a red "S" in/on it. I just spent 45 mins literally just trying to put things in a cart from the "buy it again" area. Every couple of items, it freezes. You add a quantity, it removes it. Then crashes. I hate it. It's cluttered and poor quality and I hate it.

The Safeway app has everything I need to maximize my grocery shopping efficiency. All the deals and rewards are easy to find and redeem, which, surprisingly, becoming harder to find with other merchants' shopping app. I like how the rewards card can be used with multiple payment options. Sometimes the app is sluggish when it comes to search and putting items in your basket. Overall, I have no serious complaints about this app. Works like a charm.

I appreciate the app and the delivery service very much. I do a better job shopping with the app then I do in the store. I save more money because I can take my time choosing things. I don't place the order right away. I edit my order the following day and sometimes two days later. in this way I make sure that I get what I want without impulse shopping. it's very helpful. the one thing they could do better would be to make the app compatible with low-budget Android phones.

this app was great about a year ago, but ever since whatever update it was that made you have to triple click everything after you've already clipped all your deals and whatnot and then you have to go into your items and then re-clip them? It's a pain. I almost have to say the only thing that keeps me going back to Safeway is the location. but the rest of the time I'm at King Soopers. its ridiculous and an absolute shame.

Love the Safeway discounts! I love getting special discounts just for "U" based on what I purchase. It's only a little creepy thinking they track all your purchases, but I've got nothing to hide, and I like the discounts. Even when items are on sale I get an extra discount on certain items as a "Just for U" member. The app can be cumbersome at times, but usually is helpful in finding discounts and virtual coupons.

This app is very responsive and user friendly. I've used it to shop online for delivery, as well as to plan my shopping trip. The option to shop specifically for items that have coupons or sales is especially nice. I am on a very tight budget and really need to focus my meal planning on what I find on sale. I also find the option to shop by department or aisle is extremely helpful.

It keeps crashing anytime I want to open it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it at least six times now and it still crashes. A couple of days, it'd bug out multiple times and I was forced to reinstall more than once in a single day!! This is ridiculous Edit: Hey Safeway, how am I supposed to discuss the ongoing issue I'm experiencing through the app when I can't get the app to open? Asking for a friend (me).

UPDATE 7/7/2023: The app is very good and even though there's a lot of overlap of functions, it's been a lot easier to navigate than other stores' apps. But this past week, a new, annoying bug has popped up: the weekly ad won't regularly load. It takes multiple times shutting the app down and reopening it to get the weekly ad to load, and since some items aren't searchable in the app, you'll miss out on certain deals. This is a *MUST FIX*.

The notifications are annoying. While it's a decent grocery shopping app, I build a list for shopping all week long, and it always triggers reminders that I've started a cart bt haven't finished it. Text, emails, app notifications. It's annoying. I haven't forgotten my cart. I'll finish when I'm ready. There's no way to turn this "feature" off without turning off all notifications, which are helpful when an order is in process. Safeway, make the madness stop!

This newest update has made clipping coupons nearly impossible. It keeps resetting them as I'm clipping. Then when I close and reopen the app it hasn't updated any of the coupons I clipped. What is the point of using the app for saving on exclusive coupons when you can't clip them and if you can't get the savings what is the point of shopping at Safeway??

I'm beginning to think the app is not actually connected to Safeway... and after reading a few of the previous reviews, I'm not alone in the issues I'm facing with the app. I opened the app in the morning and saw a few great deals. I was thinking i could make a quick run to the store during my lunch break. None of the deals on the app rang up. I was in a huge rush so i just paid it without the savings. Won't be shopping here till this is fixed. Total false advertising.

the most recent update makes it extremely frustrating to look through the coupons. if you click on a coupon to see what items it entails and then go back, it will boot you to the top of the stack regardless of where you were. it makes the app very frustrating to use and i regret updating it.

This last update really messed up the Drive Up and Go features. As someone shopping for 2 households, it was great to shop in one area and then just let the other store know I was on my way and when I was there. Even in the email, it says to check in but it just takes you to the apps home page then nothing. Y'all probably wanna fix that.

I used to love this app, but I got a new phone 4 weeks ago, and the app won't work on it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. I enter my phone number and it recognizes me and says it's linked to me email, so I tap to send me a code, then it says " sorry we're having difficulties, try again later" every time. So frustrated and disappointed. Safeway is the only grocery store in my town.

Idk what happened, but now my coupons will not always clip, and it intermittently moves things around as I try to clip coupons. When I reopened the app, I found that my entire time doing this was wasted as only 1/3 or so actually worked. I loved this app, and idk what happened since I last used it, but it won't work properly anymore. I've cleared cache, data, and reinstalled now each individually and still have the same issues occurring each time..

The coupons that I clip never show up when I scan my card or put in phone number. All the time I have to ask an employee to help me get the coupons processed. If you offer coupons or discounts via app, why not make sure it works. It takes up more of my time than I would like. I feel like removing it from my phone. It takes up space and does not work!....... Update..... It's been working for a while now Thank you.

I used to love this app. Since the update, I have had so many issues with it. For one, when I am shopping and doing my price comparisons, the app keeps shutting down with the message "app is not responding. Wait, close or...". This happened 10x the last time I went shopping. I am now unable to scan a UPC and have even sale items show up. Now it just shows me a while slew of items, none of them even being the item that I scanned. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled and it's the same iss.
