Its frustrating how bug riddled this app is. It's great when it works right, but infuriating when it doesn't. And that's half the time. Halfway through the race the images kept going back to the begining of the program. I've given up watching the weekend race and will be watching the race highlights on Youtube instead. It's stupid! Fix it please!!!!!!

Although the content is finally playable there are a few things missing. First is that your progress on a video will never be saved in the app, i.e. if you leave a video and come back, it will always restart at the beginning. This app doesn't support casting of any kind. Lastly, this app doesn't support picture-in-picture. So if you expect to multitask on the same device while playing content then you'll need a second phone or a computer handy. Practicality is generally not supported here.

Why, in the year of our Lord 2020, is there an video app with no casting ability? This is the app for the world's #1 Motorsport and I can't cast it to my TV unless I use my computer. Also, they spent way too much time making the UI "look nice" and not enough time making the interface easy to use and optimized for mobile or PC for that matter. Fire your app developers. Other than that, the features are cool. Can't wait to use them during the season.

The UI is so bad. No double tap to skip forward or back. The scrubbing icon is so tiny and hard to use to get to the correct time in the video. Accidentally touching the screen changes the view and brings up the drivers list or just zooms in. Give us an icon to change view. No casting option. If you minimize the app and go back in the video starts completely over randomly. This is such a pain to use. The devs need to take notes from every other successful video app. No changes in over a year...

The UI still needs a lot of improvement. There is a lot of content but it is not easy to access. The speed to access is slow. During race weekends it is nearly impossible to get a stable stream. Switch over to ESPN and can watch the race no problem. So it is clearly a problem with the app/website design. The comentation does not always match what we see in TV. For example the commentators will discuss something they are looking at in the garage but we the view only see the race.

Overall, this app gives me what I want. I do have a few complaints: Many others have mentioned this but it does have many buggy moments when casting or screen mirroring seemingly regardless of connection quality. Also, captions are available in the video settings, but don't work on anything I've watched on the app. Live TV is understandable, but things like documentaries should have usable subtitles for those that are hard of hearing.

The question "would you like to rate F1TV?" popped up after an error stopped what I was watching. It is incredibly frustrating to watch anything if you can't finish it in one go. It doesn't remember where I left off even if I reply to somebody's text! I have to find and start the video again and search for the right place which is annoying when I'm at work and want to watch the races during several short breaks. The only plus side... I get to watch my races. If only there was a different app.

The video player in this app is a pain to use. The seek slider is infinitesimally small and the menu is clunky. I was easily able to overlook this, but what motivated me to make this review was the custom view operation. It's nearly useless because I'm often finding the replay and my selected driver is not a few seconds out of sync, BUT WHOLE LAPS. I understand that it would be incredible effort to perfectly match all of the views, but 60+ seconds is unacceptable

The app is so bad, I want to ask for my money back on my 1 year subscription. There are two unexcusable issues with F1 TV. 1. There is a bug that makes the app act like it has no internet connection, when the device has a perfect connection. This problem happens nearly every time I have attempted to use the app. It persists over several networks and devices and makes the app unusable. 2. There is no Chromecast, Apple TV, or Roku support. Is it not 2019?

I've updated this review and removed one star, it has gotten worse. If, during a two hour race you switch to another app on your phone to answer a call, send a text etc. switching back gets you the first page of the app and you'll have to find and restart the show you were watching from the beginning. Sometimes, it gives an error message or audio issues during a race, restart the show. This app is only ok if you watch an entire race non-stop. Horrible app for phones.

Love the content, but full of compatibility issues and bugs. It works alright on Roku devices, so how come this app is unavailable for Android TVs. You are forced to use the cast feature from your phone and it is so unreliable. It will turn your volume up to 100% on the TV if you touch your phone while casting. A clear lack of testing and quality assurance. I paid for a F1 TV yearly subscription, you have to do better than this. It is so frustrating. I would like a reimbursement, honestly.

Great App I have had for three seasons now. I love it. If you are having problems try full uninstall and reinstall the app. I only had to do this once and it fixed all my issues. If you want to do something else. Pause the race, Minimize the app, then return to home screen. Do not close it. It will be where you left off(for those complaining about no time stamp to resume)

Was able to watch every session this weekend, issues were things like error messages every five minutes. Onbourd audio and radio not matching the car. Then it came to the race. Would not let me watch in app or chrome. Would come up with an error and crash. This app has always been disappointing and has great potential. I hope they make it reliable and fix issues. Then I might consider paying again.

Video player needs a lot of work. YouTube is free and far superior in terms of user interface. No easy way to rewind or fast forward. Video time tracker is difficult to use as it pops up and disappears inconsistently. Have to reload the app because video and sound get out of sync. Is this really worth the subscription fee? Sure if there's no other way to watch F1 and that's enough for some people, like me... perhaps that's what they're capitalizing on 💰

The streaming service is terrible. There are no options to change resolutions, load times are terrible, no chromecast, and in my case there is no easy way to watch F1 TV on an actual TV. There has been talk of adding chromecast functionality for the past year and still nothing has been done. You would think that a multi-billion dollar organization would be able to throw together a half way decent app. I love the sport but this app is terrible.

when it works, it's great. I cannot view any video from archive even though I have an active subscription. it allows you to pull up the highlight or full race, but no video loads. I have tried reinstalling the app, clearing cache... doesnt work anymore. used to.... this is happening on Samsung Note 9. 3 months later and no improvement. I was going to upgrade to pro but what's the point if I cant login and when I do, it insists there is no internet connection. this app is an embarrassment

Needs a lot of work. Not being able to save progress on events you've started but cannot finish is annoying. Need to develop more versions for other devices as well. Would also be nice to be able to not have to wait until a live broadcast is finished in order to watch it from the beginning. App is constantly not working during race weekends. Constant error codes. Embarrassing for F1, especially as they're owned by a media company.

It's awesome for my needs. I like that it doesn't ruin the results for you if you don't watch the race live. Wish I could choose quality options more easily. My main gripe is while on my phone, if I exit out or get a text... It doesn't let me resume easily. Sometimes yes, mostly no. Also I really need a watch history feature that is indicated on the video thumbnail themselves so I know where I'm at through a season. Audio only would be nice to. I love F1 and would recommend this app.
