Dive into your story –

The world is full of stories. The most precious story among them is your story. Everything about you is a story. There are countless stories about you such as daily life, travel, childcare, hobbies, thoughts, notes, novels, and so on. Put all of this in Pencake. Pencake offers a minimal UI so you can focus on your story. So you can keep all your stories neat and beautiful. Record your story with Pencake just as you record life's moments with photos and videos. And keep it and reminisce about it.

Pencake consists of stories and articles. Several articles come together and become a story. In Pencake, you can create multiple stories by topic. Write and keep your varied stories in Pencake.

(There is a side effect that makes you want to write more and more.)

This app is amazing. I just downloaded it. However, I understand dark mode in premium may want people to buy it more — but, I feel it should be available for all, especially for people with sensitive eyes, people who are visually impaired, etc

The app is really great. I love the minimalist design and the UI is generally beautiful so I decided to purchase the app. There's a lot of potential in this app and I was really expecting upgrades with more features. That was the main reason I decided to purchase but it's become abit stale on the upgrades lately. Please add more features. Otherwise great app. Been using it for months and I love it so far.

Everything is aesthetically pleasing for me. I just love the way how everything turns out. The app itself excites me to write. I love the fact that you have to double tap to edit, because that's the problem with other apps, when I just wanna read what I wrote, it keeps on switching to edit mode and it annoys me. The lack of stories I can make on this app doesn't actually bother me. Best app to write, if you ask me.

The app is good and simple. The font is also good when I buy the app. However 1. An access to dictionary both in built while off line and online would be an advantage. 2. A feature where it can suggest multiple words for a word used by the user would be an advantage. 3. A text highlighter also will be good. (Have not checked throughly but a glance at the options I found it's not there.)

I really like the app but sometimes there is a glitch that causes the writing to overlap. Trying to backspace makes the letters worse and the words all join together. Everytime this happens I have to restart the app and it is frustrating me. Please fix the bugs and I'll change the rating because I really do like the app and I want to continue using it.

By far my favourite app right now. It's perfect for keeping a Journal, writing a short story, making notes or just about anything you could want to write down. I have a few features I would like to see added in future updates - export of articles and not just the whole story is one, but this app is extremely functional as is. Highly recommended!

I love the beautiful minimalistic aesthetic of this app, but it would be great if there was a search function, text style options (bold/italic/underline), and the ability to attach videos. I know that the devs are working on some of these things already and I'm looking forward to future updates. EDIT: updated to five stars—the disappearing text bug is fixed. Thanks to the devs for frequent updates and responding to reviews! Purchased premium :)

I really Love this app! It was so beautiful and the aestethic is on point! I use this for my devotionals and it was awesome. The only thing it lacks was the options for italic, bold etc. for a more organize writing. Also, it would be great if the free version could accomodate atleast 5 stories, not just two :( A student like me can't afford the premium yet. *cries*

I love the UI! I've been looking for a journal app with this clean and aesthetic look. The simple interface makes it so easy to just start writing. There's also a lot of handy tools but missing basic ones like bold italic etc. Pls add in indentions and checkboxes. I bought the premium version already immediately for the discount. I just wish there was cloud support because I would want to use the app on my ipad too. And.pls make it a one time purchase for android and ios. Looking forward to more

i'll rate 4 for now because you can't do italics and bold ------------ :((( (i'll go premium when these features are added! that's for sure, or i might actually buy after some time bcs it's really fun doing stories in here) it's really easy to use, i also like the filters for the pictures!!!! best one ive downloaded so far. hoping to 'Share as a Word document or pdf' in the near future.

Would have been a great app. I paid for premium but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Multiple times when I'm doing some edits on the things I've already written down, when I erase even just a single letter or symbol, everything else disappears without any option of undoing it. I need to start all over again and it's annoying when I've already written a long text. 😰

This is absolutely stunning and well programmed app. I love that you can have many notebooks with different names and the look of it The only downside is that the free font doesn't allow more specific letters (ž or ř in my case). I meant to use it for a diary written in my mother language but I can't because it switches to a different (default?) Font and it looks really ugly, which given how beautiful the app itself is in a big drawback.

Overall this is a pretty good app. It's minimalistic and pleasing to look at, and is easy to use. I recommend adding some more fonts and maybe some simple frames for the cover pictures. Also it would be great if there is a yellow theme instead of just light and dark. Of course those features must be paid before usage. Thank you developers for your hard work and I hope to see more from you!

So intrigued by the simple design of this app. Love the concept of 'Stories' & each entry being 'articles'. They make good use of swiping btwn stories & articles with ease. Editing is also easy & can include pics into entry. 3 suggestions: 1) when editing, choose to toggle btwn showing pic attached inside and '![](1)' 2) Search by certain date / date range e.g. from 1 wk or from a yr ago 3) have option to wordwrap article title (& story subtitle) so you can see the whole thing on story screen

I love it. Its so simple and easy to use, but I wish we could write in italic, bold, other combination like italic bold, scratch or maybe even listing etc (basically more formatting features). But I just went to the FAQs and read about that it might be a tad difficult to add those features, at least at the moment anyways. I do hope it will eventually added though, but overall I enjoy using this app! Been searching for an app that'll allow me to insert pics but still simple and finally found it.

Love it. This is the best diary app i've ever use, it's simple and cute but easy to use and write. I love the fancy fonts, the lock is a plus. I like how we can edit the article or the date even after we save it, the title is a cute way to label your article aswell. There are only a few adds too, I can't wait for amazing further developments on this app!

I LOVE the app, but I wish the “watch-an-ad-to-unlock-some-basic-premium features-for-a-few-hours feature” was still available (especially because of the night mode). I was really enjoying it, until it got taken down. I'm one of those people who are willing, but not able to get the premium version just yet, and that feature really meant a lot to me. Bring it back... pleaaassse.

I've been searching everywhere for a good app to write my stories in, and frankly– this is the one! The design is minimalistic and distraction-free, the tutorials are helpful and quick, and I can save so much time. The fonts and other features like the word count are also nice and help me stay focused. I bought Premium because I want to support the creators and I'm very interested in what they have to offer in the future. Thank you for the wonderful app!
