Description of myChevrolet

This is your convenient tool to help simplify, add control and reach your vehicle’s full potential. Stay in touch and in command — whether you’re in your vehicle or out. Access helpful features like remote commands right on your home screen and even check the estimated fuel level or charge status of your electric vehicle.

Start by logging in with your Chevrolet Account or OnStar username and password. Services are not available everywhere, and feature availability and functionality may vary by country. The myChevrolet mobile app* is supported on Android 9 and above and is only available in North America, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay.

Remote Commands**
Your key fob is conveniently located on your home screen. You can lock and unlock your doors or warm up your car on a cold morning.

This app used to be wonderful, and worked nearly 100% of the time. In the last couple weeks it has completely stopped reporting charging status and the map is very glitchy. I don't know if there was a software update or what but something seems to have broken pretty significantly in the last couple weeks.

Really bad app for a brand new car. Stupid things like poor scaling of the buttons cuts off the graphics. 1/2 of the front page just says "Chevrolet". whenever it sends a command to the car, I get two vibration/ring notifications. If I turn off the vibration, I don't get charge complete notifications. Updating the charge percentage can take minutes and sometimes I have to force quit the app. Absolute rookie stuff. Two stars because I don't have any other choice.

App worked great about 6 months. Using a Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra. It is now completely non functional. I have tried everything including uninstall/reinstall, force stopping the app, clearing the system cache during a phone restart, and changing any and all settings. UPDATE: OnStar called and said they re-linked my account. This did not help. So I decided to do a factory reset of my phone and this appears to have fixed the issue. It also helps to test your problem on other devices.

The app started out great back in the day Before they started making drastic changes. Now with this last update it is totally unfunctional. When you open the app you just get a blank screen after the chevy logo appears. No sign on screen nothing. The app is not easy to use. You must first unlock the app to be able to use it but it. If you have auto fill turned on forget about it. It will not except it. I think this app was made for Apple. It no longer works for Android.

UPDATE: Email sent with additional details....the password in the app and the pin authentication screen closes when I open the email to retrieve the pin. The truck, I don't drive it that often, l can't understand why it requires a password when I start the truck. Apps and programs are in two places, either they are seamless or require a great amount of effort. The same effort goes into the review. Now wasted my time twice.

The app doesn't work for me. I've tried uninstalling/re-installing, clearing my cache and restarting my phone. The app gives me the error that it can't retrieve my account details, but my husband is able to sign in just fine on his phone with his app. It logs you out every time. It doesn't seem to be an easy or flawless app

This app works well for me except for one thing, syncing with my phone. It's sucks! My contacts and recent calls are rarely available. I have to constantly go into settings and approve contact sharing. The Google app is more reliable for making calls. The phone use sucks, everything else seems to work fine. Fix the phone sync and the app would be great.

Really slow, unreliable and it often breaks. For an electric car it's needed because the only way you can tell what percentage the car is charged to is through the app. The in-car display only shows you 5% increments of charge. Quite dumb. Oddly the app can't use Bluetooth to talk to the car and requires WiFi. At one point the app had that feature but GM had issues with the it so rather than fix it they just deleted it from the app. Bottom line, GM is not a software company and the app sucks.

Terrible app. Very glitchy. Only works the first time you install it. Other than that, I continuously receive the "Service Unavailable. System error. Please try again later. If this issue persists, please contact an Advisor for assistance. " message. I have already made sure I'm updated to the latest version. I have uninstalled app and reinstalled many times. Still not working properly.

This app is complete garbage. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. It's super slow to load anything, half of the features don't work, and I can't even schedule services through it anymore because it buffers endlessly. No matter how many times I refresh or clos and reopen the app, it does absolutely nothing to help

The app is pretty well designed and quite useful, when It's working. Every 2 or 3 days it stops communicating with my car, their support people told me to reinstall the app and that solved the problem, but it keeps popping up two or three times a week. I figured out that you don't really need to reinstall the app- just clear the data. However, you have to set the app up again when you do that, so this is clearly not a convenient solution to the problem. Somebody needs to fix this.

Not having a good experience. As apps go this one is quite bad. For starters it asks for login each and every time I open it. That wouldn't be so bad if it allows to create a pin but it doesn't. It also doesn't work with password fill by my password manager. I use Microsoft authenticator to save and auto fill passwords but the app clears the password each time it is auto filled. Then there are the intermittent connectivity issues. Stuck on updating my Bolt charge status.

I had previous issues with text being cutoff but resolved it by changing the font on the phone. The app seems pretty picky about that. Otherwise it works for the most part. I have had very little trouble with remote starting or locking/unlocking doors. It's an ok app but there could be many more features.

I have tried opening the app for a week now and it has not fully opened. It does the initial myChevrolet logo then the screen goes all black and doesn't even show an icon indicating its loading! I have noticed the app has been getting slower and slower over the past year(s). Maybe it is time to fire the IT person in charge of maintaining the app and hire someone new that better fits the values and goals of GM.

Finally after 7 or 8 months of not having a functional icon the problem appears to be fixed on my OnePlus 8 Pro. Months of having to manually search for the icon to open the app. It magically appeared on the last page of my desktop like a newly installed app. It also now appears in my app drawer and I can put it in the folder on my main home page used for accessing smart home applications.

Oh boy. Nothing really seems to work in this app, and every time you close it you have to log in again. There is no "remember me" setting, it seems to be incompatible with LastPass and android's password filling feature, so that's outrageously infuriating. Most of the other features don't seem to work either, it will connect to my car (Bolt EUV) and find the charge but thats it. The maps function plans a route but it won't read the charge from my car, and 5 other things that won't fit here. 0/10

The app hadn't worked since when I opened it on 5/9/23. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra. I was waiting to see if a fix was released but all the I fo on the app if stuck at that date, and maps will not work at all since then as well. Before that I liked the app a lot, it is very helpful if it works, and I love the notifications when something is wrong, please fix app!! UPDATE:6/8/23 After Uninstall and reinstall as suggested, everything seems to be working great now! Thanks for the really fast reply!

When it works it contains some useful information. Either the app itself, or the connection to the car is extremely unreliable. 80% of the time the app does not work. Update: Just curious, do any of these negative issue that are reported ever get fixed? Every so often I'll delete and reinstall the apt to see if there is any progress to making this app work correctly. After reinstall, the app will work for a day or so then not function at all.
