Best app I have ever downloaded I have been using this app now for years and Everytime I get a new device I dwnld the app to make sure that I'm able to view everything I need to when I'm not able to be at home.. love the fact that you can link many different devices to act as cameras.... Truly is almost instant live feed ( probably like a 2 second delay) .. I'm also amazed by the motion detection and how accurate it is. I have never had a problem with my camera waking up when it's supposed to.

Just awesome. Turned my old phone into a home security camera. Setup took a little back & forth, you just have to pair in correct order for the right device to be designated as the camera & the other as the viewer, but they also make it pretty easy to switch. Motion recording is accurate & alerts are on time, recording is specific not excessively long. Auto low-light mode turns on when the sun goes down. Can't say enough good things about it worth every penny for the subscription.

used to love this app, but it's starting to dip a lot in quality. it will say no connection or miss recording movements even though the camera is totally fine and charging. there are times when the camera isn't charging and it doesn't notify me, even though it's supposed to. I still love the concept, it's just becoming unreliable.

I loved this app, it worked great, until is get home and want to watch TV and play in my phone. I started getting interrupted every 5 minutes with alerts. I tried muting for 8 hrs, but it didn't more. Then I went to close the app and it started open in the background. I kept closing it, but went to switch to my other app and there it was still, it just wouldn't shut off. So I uninstalled it. I was about to go premium I liked it so much. I have 3 stars, because I really did like it.

Love that it's free! I was able to use the app to keep an eye on my apartment when I had to leave for a few house so the tub could get repainted. Definite peace of mind for my anxious brain. Only thing I hv trouble with is that I can't get the camera to wake up remotely. I've changed both my phone and the Webcam phone to "appear on top" within Alfred settings as well as the actual camera settings to "appear on top". I still get the same notification to change the settings to on and it won't wake

Been wanting a security system for awhile, but costs too much. Love that I can just use old phones laying around that have no use anymore. Will probably upgrade soon, but want to continue trying it out. Only complaint I have is I wish more than one user could view cameras at once. If that's a even complaint. Nice for privacy though. Otherwise, set up was super easy and only took a few minutes. Very impressed that this is free!

Just installed it and I'm trying it now. Love it so far. Great features. Update 2022-04-22: Having used this app for so long, made the biggest mistake of installing the update that said you can do continuous recording. I am not even interested in that feature. But after updating of the camera unit, the app crashes if you pick any setup menu option. I hope you are aware of this problem and going to fix it. Right now, the app is unusable.

Up side: Easy setup, user-friendly, great live video quality and alerts are fairly reliable. Down side: When events record they start part way through and the recording does not include the full event. There is also not a lot you can control about how the events record. You can't adjust the length or area that the recordings focus on, and even on high sensitivity it will often record 5 seconds and then stop, even though there is still action on the screen, and that's with the paid upgrade.

Update: could use a better motion detection. It'll record the sun changing, but doesnt record when somethings/someones ACTUALLY there. Night vision is even worse. Very easy to use. Its worth it to upgrade to premium. Love that I can have several cameras, just wish I could do a side by side or multi view rather than only being able to watch one at a time. But still awesome!

Easy to install and setup, worked perfectly minutes after starting download! Finally found a use for all my old cell phones. I immediately signed up for the payment plan to get higher resolution, very happy with all the features. One year subscription is less than I would have paid for one security camera, and I'm using several old phones that have better resolution! Even my wife was impressed, and she is difficult to impress with technology. Thanks for the wicked cool app!

Well it was going good as I had two phones linked. I had problems when I wanted to switch phones as to the view and the recording. It kept asking for my email but wouldn't allow me to enter any info- no keyboard. I then saw there are fees of about $2 per month $24+ for the year which is a great bargain if it works like I think it should. But I got tired of trying so I uninstalled them and will try again later.

Nice app. I've had it for over a year and it was working fine. Liked it so much I renewed my subscription in Jan. Since the last upgrade, though, that allowed me to require a password to access either the camera or the viewer, every time the camera phone gets an Android update and restarts, the camera does not turn on. I have the option set to start after a reboot, but I have to physically open the app on the camera phone to restart it. Very annoying and very unreliable for when I am not at home.

Exceptional for a free app! Flawlessly works between my pixel (viewer) and fire hd (recorder) for when I have to leave for a few days and need to keep an eye on my pets. It even has motion detection within free app! One thing I would like to have is a one time "buying" option to support the author. I use it maybe twice a year for a few days so a subscription does not really make sense (also I don't really need any new features), but I would be glad to pay like 5$ just to say "thank you".

This app is very impressive and works flawlessly. It's very user friendly and easy to navigate. The video quality was a lot better than I had expected, a long with other useful features such as: remotely changing from front to rear camera view, turn the phones light on, rotate cameras image, ect. All these awesome features to use that will bring any old smart phone back to a daily used device, and it's completely FREE!!!!! I was so impressed that I would have bought the app.

It is definitely the simplest to get going of all the apps that use old phones. A couple of my phone's do have a zoom but for some reason the app does not think so and I do think that the picture quality could be a little better and I wish I could sit the recording time should it detect motion but I believe the algorithm used gets about as close as you can without manually setting it it's just that different applications may require a slightly different adjustment. Same thing goes with the motion sensor I had one sitting on the carport to detect anyone around a car and I could not stop it from alarming every time the leaves would blow or a truck would drive by 3 blocks away but there are unforeseen circumstances. I also don't understand why the picture that comes across the app cannot be the same quality as what I see on the camera it seems to be a little less quality it's not noticeable unless you're looking at one of the really old phones I have. Also I have had some problems with phones cutting off for no reason. I locked the screen with the app and the power supply was 2:00 amps plenty enough to keep it running even if the screen is on but for some reason the camera cut off. The app attempted to wake it up but it couldn't. Those are the only issues I have seen but I have tried about eight of the other apps that do the same thing and this one is by far the best and the simplest and I'm glad to have it. I wish there was one addition to the app and that is I would like to be able to see all of my cameras on one screen at the same time and also be able to incorporate the webcams in the house and the security camera on the porch. it's possible I just need to learn a little more this is a great app I have trusted my Ants safety to it and it has not let me down and most of the problems I have experienced seem to be with the cameras that are on the older phones . thank you for developing this app. I would like to see at least 6 cameras on one screen in landscape View.

This app has potential, but the motion detection is terrible. I receive false positives all the time, even on the "low" sensitivity setting, to the point where I basically disregard all motion notifications, which renders the feature useless. I've let them know via support cases and the forms, and I regularly use the feedback option on the Android app to send examples of the lack of real motion, but the developers have not fixed the issue for a very long time, so I'm not hopeful.

This is a great app, simple and easy to use. I use it to monitor my 3D printer when I'm not at home so I can watch for problems during long print jobs. I tried using it on my door one day to watch for people arriving and while it was an easy set up with a clear picture, the windy day drove the motion detector bonkers and I had to shut it off. Even after trying premium and fiddling with the settings it was still alerting every two minutes - so probably best for low-traffic areas and less windy conditions if you need motion alerts.

Let me sett the record straight. 1. No, you don't need to leave your phone unlocked. Ensure your phone's settings aren't interfering if you're having trouble with this. 2. Memory issues are your fault, not the app's. 3. If you use low end devices for your cameras, expect low end results. Alfred App is the best, and I've been using it near two years without a single issue.
