It's alittle buggy in keeping things consistent while typing notes; whenever I exit and save a new template, the text just changes from where I left it. I would appreciate it if they could tweak that alittle better. Also it would be great if the app had more options in creating and duplicating templates. I see a lot of potential in this app; I'm actually interested in where it goes in the future. Hopefully it has less bugs. I might eventually get the premium version.

Love the app but the recent May update has sometimes not saved Entries or seemingly deleted them (pictures added that were taken with the in-app camera are unrecoverable). Hope the bugs get worked out! Also having multiple journals is one step harder to switch tags now (Edit / Metadata /tags) where in the old UI it was one tap. Anyway, I love the app and use it daily and will hope to see new releases soon!

This app has the potential to be amazing. It is heavily designed for apple users. A couple things in my opinion that would get it to 5 stars is if you had the ability to log onto the desktop version and journal from their. Typing up my narratives from my phone is a bit cumbersome. Also, after I bought the membership is when I found out there is no capability to print books for the android users without using a 3rd party process.

Day One is probably one of the best Journaling apps out there but the syncing feature is really messed up. My wife and I share an account and keep journals individual and for our kids and family but almost every day when one of us syncs and entry is duplicated sometime up to 4 times, typically the duplicates don't bring the photo with them and I can delete them with no problems. Yesterday though I lost records! It's a deal breaker. I had struggled before with the lack of windows desktop support but made a work around for that.

It very quickly allows me to jot notes, qoutes, numbers, poetry, thoughts; all the things I would use my actual journal for, except much more organized. I would only request a more customizable date system to organize the entries. Some people like to display information by specific dates, but some people also like to organize by topic or custom title. Hope to see that improvement, but otherwise very handy.

I'm really surprised by the generous reviews here. Did somehow download an old version on my Chromebook? After pulling the trigger on the full year subscription in order to use my journal between my iOS and Android devices, I was disappointed to see that the Android app appears to be comically rudimentary and bare-bones compared to the excellent iOS version. Where are the text formatting features? An even bigger problem is not being able to edit journal entries between iOS and Android. I've gathered that this is an issue they're working on, but I'm kind of surprised that they would bother putting out such a flawed version of a paid app.

I like the features and UI. It's a profoundly functional app. Even the paid features are worthwhile. I don't like that I need to give location data for pictures. I guess it doesn't really matter, but it just feels like an overstep given the personal nature of a journal. I don't know how candid I can be if I feel like I'm being tracked. Probably an immaterial concern, but I can't shake the feeling. All said, a fantastic app that's proving to be a necessity.

Can't have more than one device edit journals. The worst part was being forced to search this helpful detail on their website that also didn't seem to think the android app download button was worth the space to include. But no, multiplatform editing is a must for me that I would only very rarely pay for, much less offer a monthly random. Overall I'm sure it's a great app, but I wouldn't know in the 10 minutes I took to investigate it. Maybe give it a try, but definitely don't trust them to keep

I have been looking for a daily journal option, and this is so perfect!! A quick, convenient way to jot down my thoughts, and I love that I can include pictures. UPDATE: I was never told that I needed to manually back up entries, and when I switched phones I lost ALL of my data... years of entries, with no way to retrieve it. I'm devastated, and sickened that a company with an online journaling system does not have a way to back up such important info automatically.

This is a wonderful and simple journaling app. Is everything you would expect a journaling app to do, And it does it flawlessly. As of yet, I have not noticed any bugs or glitches. I love the ability to use speech to text feature, And also be feature which allows me to add pictures to my journal entries. Very happy with this app. If you download it do yourself a favor and upgrade to premium it is very worth it.

Just installed this app. Seems to work fine, and was no trouble to set up. My only concern was seeing one review that said they couldn't use computer kbd, but I think they were trying to use the computer itself. My keyboard is bluetooth, and can have 3 connections at a time, and works just fine with this app, once kbd was connected to phone (outside of the app).

Great App. I had to switch over to a Android phone and I was worried I would lose my journal app. I'm so glad they made an Android version! It's missing some of the great features that they offer for the Ios but hopefully soon they will incorporate those features into this app. I really miss my template feature, and the ability to change text styles and formatting. Please add these features to the Android app they are great!!!! Thanks!!!

I'm obsessed. I have always been a constant journal keeper and have mostly preferred handwritten books but this app has changed everything for me. I love having multiple journals, some photo-based, and tags as well to keep things organized across time and topics. The synchronization across devices would be better if it werent somewhat delayed, but it's still awesome!! Pricing is great too. Can't recommend highly enough!

Don't stick with the free one! Get the upgrade where you can get unlimited journals and ECT! I am tracking my progress thoughts and multiple aspects in my life that range from thoughts that pop up during meditation to my guitar journey! This is the place for all your journaling needs! Keep organized and begin feeling better here! My phone is giving me issues with the photos option but I am 99% certain that it is just my dang device! Heck, I am going to track my feelings when finding new music 🎶

So first off, let me give a positive review. I've been using this app for three-four years now, and I'm a fan. This is my journal, and I love it. With that said, it's been glitching a lot lately. The font changes when I'm typing (and when I change the font back, it ignores me) and now my autocorrect isn't working properly and words are stacking on top of each other. Kind of cumbersome really. App is good tho otherwise, just would love to have those bugs fixed :)

An Almost Perfect Experience! I'd gladly pay $5 a month for premium (much higher than the actual cost), if I only had a way to access my journals some place other than my phone. Without a Mac or iPhone, however, I'm out of luck. Please, please finish development of a Windows desktop version, or at least a Chrome extension. Until then, I'll keep using Journey.

Good App. I like this app. What would it take to make it perfect? Well... When I first started using it, I could generate a PDF of my journal. That feature ceased to work... Very very very very very disappointing. I still use the app, but I'm on a quest to find a replacement that will let me generate a PDF or print. If they fixed that feature, I'd love this app and declare it perfect!

I have used this app since 2014 and have always loved it's easy platform. Recently over 200 of my entries were deleted by accident when changing phones from Apple to Android. I was devastated. I contacted the support help and within 24 hours, they had restored everything. So not only is the app amazing, but the tech support is phenomenal. I'd give it more stars if I could.
