With every major update, I lose all of my customized settings, such as personalized greetings, extensions, forwarding, etc... have to relearn how to customize everything all over again, and it takes a ridiculously long time to do the actual customization. I am planning to switch to a live receptionist as a result.

Maybe, maybe not. Your problem either way. Our account manager sends voicemail saying contact tech support. We've done that over 10 times and they say it all looks right. Works one call, not the next, then works again. So it has to be the app. This inconsistency and unreliability has already cost us more than we pay for this service. App is easy to use but it doesn't actually work. 3 users, 8 different phones tried.

I'm not sure what happened since the latest update however anytime that I try to make a phone call through my business app Grasshopper, I get an error message that said I'm not able to make a call from my extension and the Ringcentral app opens automatically. I've never changed any settings in either app. It's weird because I think these two apps are independent of one another.

update: slightly better Bluetooth performance, but meetings still drop constantly, the app can't open meeting links so you must copy and paste the meeting ID, and you cannot copy/paste a phone number into the dialer, which is just irritating. Bluetooth does not work, making this app limited in usefulness as a business phone. Still can not do group texts. Try Google Voice, it's free and does both of these things.

While it does meetings well enough, it is a clunky, ineffective, and incomplete replacement for the old RingCentral phone app. We don't use the messenging part of the app so that's dead weight. It also chokes on slight signal degradation and usually fails to reconnect. It finally also loses a call when switching from wifi to cell or vice versa. I am really tired of using it and just want the RC phone app back.

The screen goes black when I make a call. I cannot do anything after that. The screen is black, unlocking and the power button do nothing. I can't hit end call, I can't hit speaker, nothing. I left a 3 minute long voicemail (1 of me speaking and 2 of dead air) for a client because I couldn't hang up. I had to wait until their voicemail disconnected the call. Extremely unprofessional. And for the cost of this??? Crazy.

Good service, but the app always kicks me offline when I navigate away from it, to do something else or my screen lock enables. It should continue to keep my 'online' so other tasks can be done on my phone or tablet. Otherwise I can't receive calls when I'm out in the field if I'm checking my emails or using my message system. If I want to be offline, i would just disable my extension. This would be a HUGE fix. For instance, I'm automatically offline now to write this review. Not good.

Works great for everything except phone calls. People can't here me most of the time on phone calls or other times I can't hear them. The voice calls on this app are horrible. I've reported this before. We did all of the troubleshooting. The problem is not my data connection. My data connection is perfect. I have 4 bars 4G or 5G. The problem still exists when I'm connected to wifi. That shouldn't even matter though. Most of the time I'm not near wifi. I use other data voice apps (e.g.Goo

The mobile app has improved for Android, but I still experience audio delay only on incoming RingCentral calls. Incoming external seem to be ok. Turning off WiFi seems to help a little, but it sucks that I have to be off WiFi my entire work day (I work from home). There is an option to use carrier minutes only for outgoing. That has prevented audio delay, but still an issue for incoming.

The app has to be on top and the phone backlight on for the voice to transmit. During calls the app must remain the top app open. If I use my phone to do anything else while on a call, my caller loses the ability to hear me. I can hear them however. Also, if the screen cuts off during the call, same result.

It's literally the worst new technology upgrade I have ever been a part of. If you've used RC before, then you already know it's spotty most days at best. The display screen is clunky even when sized down to be its smallest, and it doesn't have a common sense way to delete threads of messages. They pretty much force you to upgrade to the new version with no chance of restoring the old versions design.

Bluetooth audio has been fixed, but it is still not possible to answer or end calls using the call buttons on any Bluetooth device. The previous Ring Central Phone app worked perfectly on the same phone I'm using right now using the same Plantronics earpiece and Toyota hands free systems that I am still using to this day. So many nice features but they are not good if you can't safely take calls in your car due to an app that was forced on us that still doesn't work properly.

I love that the mobile app has all the same functionality of the desktop app. The ability to move a meeting or phone call from my desktop app to my mobile app and back seamlessly is fantastic. Being able to make changes to the phone system admin console from the app is a game changer. This app allows me to stay connected from the road and keep my personal life (cell phone) separate. The recent addition of virtual backgrounds in RCV meetings on the mobile is really cool.

I've had RC for about 15 years. They use to be hands on and have good service with an easy app. Now they suck. I'm moving on. Improve your service and make the mobile app and desktop app more straightforward. I don't need phone and messaging options. I just need a damn fax. The desktop app would never let me log in which was also frustrating. Snapfax is much easier!!

Frequent issues with the app. We install and service many of the RC functions from the app down to the desktop phone on many clients. My biggest issue is on the cellular app. When RC pushes out an update, they just do. Not a huge issue right? Well, when an update rolls out the app will not work until you open the app. This means no texts or calls will come through until youve opened the app. So to the unaware person, they may miss out on important calls or texts.

The chat functions are great. The problem is that they are combining the phone app into this one. There is no way currently stop the calls from going to your smartphone. You can either exit the phone queue(which takes you out of the queue on your computer as well.) Or uninstall the app. I chose to uninstall the app.

The cell phone app does not work well. We experience dropped calls frequently, it does not allow for three-way calling, and does not work consistently with bluetooth headsets. Experience has been very disappointing. To respond to the RingCentral responce; we have had many calls with tech support without any improvement. The new release has seen some improvement, but, has other issues that we have also been trying to resolve. Our experiences with RingCentral have been difficult at best.

Pretty good experience overall, though they recently started charging per message for inbound texts. (Something other vendors do not do.) The last two app versions will not allow me to switch to a Bluetooth device if it was not connected before the call started. Unable to remove buttons for unused services like Tasks, Text. (That's fine for a single user but rolling out a product org wide and not having a way to prevent users from using certain functions is just a bit no no.)
