I've been selling on this platform for many, many years. It used to be the best app for retaining the majority of the proceeds you made. Unfortunately, after they did all of their "reforming", the selling rates went way up. Also, despite having discounted shipping rates provided, you don't have the option to provide shipping through your own means. I still sell on here but definitely not like I used to; really wish it would go back to how it used to be...

Super easy for trade, and exceptional customer service. I received an item which was damaged slightly during the shipping. I was fully refunded, and I was told that I can keep the item (worth almost $250) because the seller gave also been paid, as the item had insurance coverage for the damages during the shipping. The whole process took less than an hour to complete! I am so surprised by this service level and want to let everyone know about the experience that I just had.

Fun to shop. I have found some unique items and some great bargains. My only complaint is that you used to be able to see all Local listings from the Home screen. Now that has changed and I no longer see a way to browse all local listings. That is annoying to me an probably reduces sales opportunities for local sellers.

Mecari is a very useful app when it works. When Mecari works, I'd argue it's better than Ebay. Very good deals, great sellers, and personalized items you can't get anywhere else. I use Mecari constantly. My only issue, and this is a big one, has to do with app bugs. I have not been able to edit my profile once, and I can't even ask for more details without the whole app refusing to work. Still, good app, but fix this please. I'm going to uninstall the app and reinstall just to see if it works.

Well. If you receive a empty box after a seller takes over a week to actually ship your item, and you have a literal video that shows you unboxing it as proof it came that way, they will ignore their own TOS that promises you a refund to your original payment method and will just give you store credit. The best part? The store credit EXPIRES. you're not even allowed to use it at your own pace. After I find something to use the credit on I will never use this app again. The WORST selling app.

Horrible on-site customer service. When you go to report a problem it gives you five preset options to choose from and it's very obvious this site is run in another country the language barrier was real and very unprofessional. It was my first and very last purchase. When my foot tub gets her, if it ever gets here. I'm deleting this app. It's total rubbish. I'll stay with ebay. Thanks for nothing, absolute nightmare.

Mercari is a great app to sell used items because you can reach many, many people across the nation. I've sold some $800+ using the app. That being said, I must relay my personal issues I've had with the platform and believe me, there are a lot! First of all, their fees are ridiculous. They have sellers fees and fees if you want to move your money you made onto your debit card using their instant-add feature. This fee is especially ridiculous, being like 3$. It's Hard to make any$ that way.

I have listings that are 4 and 5 months old that NO ONE SEES because there is no way to share to get your listings back up to the top(UNLESS YOU 👎 PRICE TO PROMOTE)You have to delete your listings and relist and if you have 800 listings it's too much work! Also you can't see the TITLE OF THE LISTING! What other app doesn't show TITLE! Also you can't choose from a list of items in someone's closet. You have to scroll thru everything! Ex: I want only women but I have to look at the whole closet!

Mercari, please fix your app! I love using this app but the newest update has made everything so ridiculously slow I dread going into it now. It takes a solid 15 seconds after pushing a button (such as "promote" or "new listing") and takes forever to load. I'm super frustrated and we need this fixed!! Please!!! Before it was amazing and I absolutely loved it. It's always been a slow app, but never this slow. I'll update review if fixed.

The app is the best, but I feel like support is lacking. People just basically want to buy stuff for free. This is a problem because there is a lot of upselling and reselling. Customers constantly ask me to lower prices to buy from me and then relist it on their page. 8/12 things were sold less than its value. I'm tired. Selling fees and shipping costs are too high, especially for very small items.

Edit: Reinstalling the app fixed it, but this is a very destructive bug. Good site, but destructive bug. I've made a good few sales, but the mobile app has had this bug where it refuses to load my profile entirely or deliver notifications, even though I had them on. I have a busy work schedule, so it really makes it hard for me to realize someone has either messaged me asking about something or if someone has put in a buy order.

Pretty darn awesome app to sell stuff just laying around that's still in good shape. Great for trading cards, video games , and many other collectibles. Once they fix the phone app to allow me to see my seller info and ratings plus fix the phone app "accept the offer" area, it would be an easy 5 star! I'm not sure if it's only me but after I sell something or get an offer, it thinks I'm the buyer and it appears as a purchase by me. Same when it comes to leaving a review for the buyer.

Worked well for what I wanted to order, didn't have any issues with the seller and the item arrived quickly. The app itself seems to be a bit touchy at times. And they send way too many ads and notifications to you. but if you block the notifications from your phone and unsubscribe from the emails it's a much more pleasant experience.

I love this app. But, I'm having issues with the photos being blank when I click on an item (even my own). My App is updated, and I even logged out and back in, changed my password, Uninstalled and reinstalled and still not showing. Also, could you please put back the like hearts in my Favorites. I have to go into each one if they're sold and remove them. Then, it automatically scrolls back to the top. Thank you!

Pretty good resale app. It's fairly easy to search and scroll through the photos. The messaging is one of the best for asking questions and communicating directly with the seller. It's also easy to send/receive offers. And sellers often make better offers on Mercari because the fees are lower. I would like it better if there was a way to filter results when I type in a specific search term rather than browse by category, and also hide sold items. All in all, an easy to use and functional app.

occasionally find deals, but customer service is horrible! If you get damaged goods, be prepared to submit dozens of pics and endless delays that are purposely designed to stall or slow the process. You get several form emails saying they are sorry, but of little value to getting your problem solved. If you rate a seller and accept items, there are no refunds if the item looks good but doesn't work. They look for every way to not refund. After accepting items, there are no refunds. Pitiful!

Mercari is a great platform/website, but the app is trash. There hasn't been an update in months that address glitches in the messaging system, offer system, and even payment system. As a seller, it makes me look unreliable when I cannot respond swiftly to a message, yet all notifications are one. If it wasnt for my email, I'd totally miss out on communication, period.

PLEASE PUT BACK THE HEARTS FOR LIKED ITEMS!! Now you have to go into each item you want to unlike for whatever reason. Then when you go back to your list, it's all messed up and doesn't show everything you've liked. And you have to refresh or go out of the app to fix it! Frustrating!!! Also, the dark prices square covers up half of the picture when you're scrolling through. All in all, I do not like the latest update! Otherwise I Love Mercari!
