This app has been good so far. It's reasonably priced, it's easy to use, and I love that you can have multiple cameras open at once. My only gripe is that I can't have it float on top of my other apps so I can keep an eye on things while doing something else. Switching from one app back to tapo can be annoying sometimes, but it is just a minor inconvenience, I suppose. Also, the cameras are great - way better and more affordable than the owlet.

Super easy to set up, love that the trial subscription doesn't lock me in. Made me really confident when I went on holiday. I'll definitely be paying $5 to get that piece of mind on my next trip away -worth it. The only downside was getting alerts for "motion" that were tree shadows moving in the wind, but I understand it's hard to distinguish

Constant connection issues with multiple cameras make it almost a complete waste of time having these or the app. Please fix! Actually starting consider a different brand of cameras, it's getting really old now. They just turn off for no reason at all & don't reconennect. Not good enough! People rely on these for safety. & everyone hates the "update".

UPDATE: THEY FIXED THE FULL SCREEN DISPLAY OPTION. THANK YOU! Can't use full screen mode anymore. I should have option to go back to previous version. Not impressed. They put two controls to the bottom right and left of screen and thus they killed off that part of full screen for viewing. Changed where everything is/was. Not impressed anymore. Used to be. This is definitely a step or two backwards.

The camera itself came with a lack of instruction. I was hoping to get more from the app but the app was confusing. After 2 weeks of troubleshooting I finally figured out everything...mostly. Now I want to stop sharing the camera with somebody else. I've gone to the home screen and the me area. Both camera/are updated. It doesn't give me the option to delete the account I am sharing with. It only gives me the option to share with someone else.

On the whole a great app and the UI update looks better. On the negative side the controls for playing back video footage are too small and they now keep disappearing. I often pause playback and take screenshots. The 5 min inactivity message is also annoying and unnecessary.

Look it's great but it misses a crucial feature. Right now it's not possible to pick a colour by entering the RGB/Hexidecimal value. That means your colour selections are essentially random based on how big your fingers are. It's not possible to match colours across different lights or pick palettes for the strip light. It's a shame because it would be such a basic and easy feature to implement but without it the experience of this app is lacking

I think a recent update has reset or added new options to my cameras config. All of my detection zones were reset, the sensitivity was set to max, and an audible alarm was enabled by default. A blade of grass moving in the wind was setting cameras off constantly WITH a constant alarm sound - with much annoyance to my close neighbours. Not impressed with how features are introduced. No reset was actioned on my part for this to happen!

New version lose the ability to manually reorder Favourites. The power graphs still terrible on Y axis. Should have some rounded reference values. The energy calendar is still sliding backwards. The app's white background colour is draining battery fast on amoled screens. It's a flashlight. A dark theme option would be better, also for eye strain. Tapo smart plugs control is completely lost when the internet connection is not available. The monitoring and programming are ok.

The new update and interface are really terrible. Please give an opinion for reverting to previous version. Way more confusing regarding downloading files, and downloads them directly to phones photo gallery, rather than just within the app. But if you delete the downloads from your phone (after I have uploaded the ones I want to keep to personal storage) it makes it so the app no longer registers that it has already been downloaded so you end up re-downloading it wasting time and storage space

Picture, set up is great, everything was awesome until recently. My camera keeps going offline, sometimes it comes back sometimes it has to be reset. On top of that I pay for the extra features and I have to manually pay for it every month because it always says my payment was declined despite it being impossible as there is enough funds in my account.

Change for changes sake. There was nothing wrong with the previous UI. The new one is clumsy to use. Also why is the recording calendar showing yesterday's date whereas the playback is (correct) for today? For instance, today is 13th.october 2023 and it says no recordings. So you go back a day on the calendar to yesterday and it shows the recordings from today.

I loved this app and Tapo in general until i restarted my router. Since then I've been trying to reconnect to the device and nothing happens. It's been 1 month. I even moved houses and tried in my new router but still nothing... I don't know if there is something wrong with the bulb but it's been annoying trying to fix it for so long.

The latest update to the app has resulted in a buggy mess that crashes out continuously. Whatever has been changed, please revert it, the app is bordering on unusable. It's especially annoying as I'd just invested in a pair of new 2k outdoor cameras but I'm actually considering returning them due to the poor app experience...

The model I'm using C200 is really cool, with it's clear high resolution recording, two way communication, clear night vision and the capability of motion detection with the camera following the detected object.. All this for free including the continuous recording onto a SD card. I can also get notifications from the camera when any motion is detected and get to view what is going on in real time from my phone. There's a paid subscription that offers more benefits too if one required it.

The app before the last update was perfect, why did you change it, now it's rubbish, takes forever to load and doesn't show me on playback, the 10 or 20 seconds before the motion was detected so it misses some of the detected motion. If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!

App was working fine when I first used it, I now have three tapo cameras, the app is awful, very hit and miss, constantly saying camera offline when it's not, have to refresh most of the time. Now when reviewing recordings it's showing me what it's recorded hours ago over and over again. This app needs fixing!! Would also be good if it showed different colour lines for each different detection for example, if you set a line crossing detection would be good if it was another colour on recordings.

The new update forces an Amazon prime offer pop-up every time you open the app. Unbelievably interrupting and makes me want to find a different option of products instead of giving tapo anymore money per month. In settings on the notifications there is a button to turn off promotions, although it seems to do nothing to rectify the issue.
