I stay at a Marriott Hotel 4 nights a week. I am a Lifetime Platinum Member with Ambassador Status. I have to say whomever thought changing the name of the rewards program would improve it's image was wrong. It's a strange name that makes no sense. Furthermore, they should have improved and FULLY tested all features and functions of the program on both the website and the app for all platforms before it's release if they wanted to get away from the nightmare of the merging of apps. Some of my biggest issues are a lack of being able to sort by price and a lack of options in the filters to get rid of hotels not available.This may sound minor but even those of us traveling with work still have to watch the price and your site now makes it take ten times longer to search. With a completely fresh system, I should also say you should NEVER have ANY down time. NEVER, EVER, EVER. Redundancy!!! This is not rocket science and we are not living in 1990.

I have been with Marriott for a long time. The recent changes to this app make it unusable much of the time. One certainly cannot rely on it. I'd never do a digital key! It freezes or hangs up for long periods of time with every navigation. What's worse is that I can't find anyone to log my complaint and clearly Marriott doesn't look at user ratings. Just use your web browser. For the most part, the app is only frustrating.

This app has gotten very buggy. I've noticed that it will crash if you switch to another app, and then back. For example, the app also does not work with password managers, so you have to copy paste the password from the password manager, but then the Marriott app crashes when you switch back. It crashes other times as well, so is just pretty horrible.

If you're booking a single room the app is easy. If you want to book more than one room with different nuber of guests it's not so easy. I did not find a way to easily compare different hotels in the same area. This almost drove me to Hilton Honors instead. When looking for a hotel I dont need the picture. It takes up too much room. I need the location and rate. Maybe a clickable map with rate would have been easier. Once i selected the room everything was very easy.

This app is terrible! How do you find your reservations? it should be on the first page! instead...ads for the credit card, other resorts, etc. The old app was way better - I travel a bit - about 40 nights so far this year. to date, split between groups. In the past I have tried to be loyal to Marriott, but this is so hard to use and the Hyatt app is easier and clearly shows my reservations.

Super buggy and undependable. There have been times where my reservations didn't appear, so I wasn't able to check in or even get the addresses, which is really the bare minimum I ask for from an app. There is an issue tracking lifetime nights. Sometimes I'll try to check in online only to be met with a failure message, but trying again immediately works. On the flip side, when it works, it's a five star app. Update: on the latest version of the app, it crashes constantly when scrolling. 0/5.

Frustratingly Buggy. The app looks great and the functionality I want is present. Unfortunately, the app crashes so frequently that it's unusable. When it's not crashing, it's plagued with other problems like being unable to scroll through a list. I most recently tried to use the app to communicate with the front desk and it didn't notify me at all that a message was waiting for me in response. That's after it crashed 4 times trying to even start the conversation.

Beautiful but slow and heavy. Takes forever to load especially on a thin network. Just pulling up a reservation can take a minute if your network is slow. Also seems to chew a lot of processor, which makes sense as it is very graphical. Navigation is s bit confusing as well, since their version of the hamburger doesn't clue you in as to the order of screens. It is form over function for sure. Needs to be simplified and lightened up.

Wow. This app is BAD. The interface is super weird with a hamburger-looking menu in the bottom right, which switches between screens. But which screens is hard to figure out (the first two seem to be my next two stays, then search), and you can't simply go directly to, say, search for a hotel. You have to scroll through all the weird screens. And it's laggy, so if you miss the search screen because you're impatient (I am), you have to go all the way through again. Also, can't add written requests

It's great when it works. Half the time results won't load; the screen will just sit on "retrieving results" for as long as you feel like staring at it. Depending on a mobile key? Good luck. Probably want to get a physical key too, just in case. There's a way to save your search preferences so you don't have to edit how many travelers and such every time. It never saves my preferences. I still have to change them every single time. But...yeah. When everything decides to work it's a nice app

Most recent version is terrible. It is much slower than it used to be, it takes more menu changes to achieve the same tasks, and has less data immediately visible when you open it. Worst of all the mobile check-in simply does not work anymore and always says service unavailable. The old app worked great and I used to give it a high rating. What on earth possessed you to release an overhauled version that is ten steps backwards??

I'm a Marriott loyalist, but I *HATE* the new app and I avoid using it at all costs. I can search quickly for hotels on other travel & hotel apps, but getting search results on Bonvoy usually takes several minutes. If I choose a property, the wait begins all over again. Several times, I've attempted to open the app and never got beyond the opening screen -- it locks up there. It's time to go back to the drawing board, Marriott!

What good is an app if it doesn't work? This was previously: Ever since the complete renovation of the app, it is less than functional. The ads and attempts to sell me a credit card work just fine but the important data like checking in and digital keys fail to work. It takes so much bandwidth to operate that I must be with a perfect signal or Wi-Fi to function properly. This was my previous review: this is a really simple app to use and provides access to all of the information you might need.

Worked great in the past however, lately it has become extremely slow and unusable. Especially with the search bar, it takes forever to search for hotels (and that is even if I get any results). I have used this app in the past and never had issues. Now it is just annoying and frustrating. Update: Lagging issues have been fixed! Working much better!

I've already wasted too much time with this app. Updated review: Followed the latest instructions and the app still will not load/open. This phone app has always been inconsistent with the loading of the pages fully and its general usefulness. Lately, however, I can't even get it to fully open, but instead crashes constantly. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times, but with no success. I now have to use the website on my cells browser.

THE WORST!! Every time i try to log in either on the website or Bonvoy app, it takes me forever because my member number and password are never recognized. I change it ...go through all the frustrating steps over and over, finally get in and then am logged out again when trying to make reservations. This has been going on for 2 years. It's enough frustration to lead me purposely not to stay in Marriot hotels of any kind.

Finally there has been progress made with this app. I can again finally after years use the digital keys. Some hotels, still the digital key doesn't work this however seems to be specific to the lock style. The app is nice to book a hotel in but isn't anything special over just accessing the internet and booking online. It is a little easier to check you account status but if you want to check benefits for a specific level opens a browser anyway. Upgraded from 1 to 3 stars but needs work.

App latency is very poor. Even with a strong wifi signal it takes a long time to load and transition between pages. Also enabling multifactor doesn't work. Every time I send a code and enter it into the app the app says the code is invalid. Overall the app is designed well on UI side but the performance is piss poor and needs to be optimized.
