Many have said it, but this app is infuriating with Chromecast. It constantly skips back to the beginning of programs or stops playing them and, each time, forces you to re-watch endless, repeat ads. Channel 4 has some great shows, some absolute trash, and a really, really buggy app.

This app is actually pretty good but when ever it's an ad it always changes time for example the first ad its 3 minutes long and the second one is 5 minutes long and it's really really annoying. And also at random moments all 4 doesn't even work! Even though my wifi didn't disconnect All 4 just randomly shuts down! But overall this app is still really good but there are some errors though.

Too many adverts and bugs all the time. Can't get through a single episode without the app randomly restarting my programme and me having to sit through all the adverts again. And it's really difficult to find where you are up to in the programme. Why is the fast forward and rewind button only 10 seconds and takes about 12 seconds to reload the content? Needs fixing Update Oct 23: 8 months later and thes bugs still aren't fixed. I've just had to watch 3 loads of ad breaks after trying to rewind

They say "we're always working hard to improve your Channel 4 experience". Interesting as it's always been dreadful. I think they built a rubbish app and then sacked everybody and left it at that. Unreliable, looping adds, loses track of position in program. An app that ignores my device's ease of access settings (disable animations). Poor navigation of box sets. Aside from some reasonable content, this is possibly the worst app that I'm subjected to.

Their should be an option for when you're watching a TV series, for the app to ask if your still watching instead off it just playing through every episode until you're phone runs out off battery or if your console or PC is left on all night, just incase you fall asleep. Majority off movie apps have this already like asking the user " are you still watching" Other than that the app is great

Best free streaming app in UK. A joy to use. Watching it with the app expanded to fill my phone screen is brilliant. No, it doesn't speed up shows like Netflix, but it's free and it's unrivalled because of it. Can be patchy with Chromecast, but as I use it 95% of the time on my phone cause it looks so good I don't care.

The subtitles are shocking. Quite a bit of the text relates to absolutely nothing that's being said on screen. Also, for a large majority the subtitles box is in white and the text is also in white, hence no subtitles. I really don't see the point in providing subtitles when they're so substandard. It sends out a large message that the hearing impaired really do not matter. It does more harm than good. Also, the live streaming doesn't work.

All 4 always has issues in casting, either it has a 'network error' or it takes you back to the very start (or random spot) in the show. Awful app. Why not just make a version downloadable for TVs

Works great, good layout and great selection of content. I use the paid version without ads as the free version has ads at the start of a programme, which you need to sit through before deciding if you like the programme, which I found very frustrating when trying to browse new content. The paid version is reasonable.

The amount of adverts is ridiculous. Its put me off using the app regularly. I just sat though 4 minutes of adverts, show come is back on and I click on the screen just to pauseand then another advert for 1minute pops up. I click back to go back to the show and end up on the home screen. I then click to continue watching the show and I now have to watch another 4minutes of adverts. This is a major flaw and its become unbearable.

Restarts the programme you are watching halfway through for no reason and makes you watch more ads, then another 5 minutes of ads when you skip it back to where you were. Ridiculous, sort your app out, it happens every time.

The worst streaming app I've used. The Chromecast connectivity is shockingly bad, it continually drops connection despite every other app working fine. I pay for an ad free version and feel conned. Why does Chromecast not work with Nvidia Shield? Where is the Android Tv version? Shocking!

Programs constantly skip back to the beginning while casting, very frustrating considering the ridiculous number of ads you have to endure just to find where you were up to. Really, really annoying.

Past issue re mayhem in event of even split-second connection issues mostly fixed--thanks C4. App's good but still flawed for anyone watching a show such as Shameless or Hollyoaks where there's often a last-second gag/epilogue. App will cue next ep regardless and often lacks responsiveness when viewer clicks on minimised window of current ep to try to stop stream jumping to next. Guidance notice relating to next ep can also obscure end of current ep.

THE WORST STREAMING APP. I love Channel 4 but everytime we watch the app crashes and starts from the beginning which can leave us watching up to 10minutes of adverts. It's unbearable and puts me off watching. Update... I swear this is getting worse. Channel 4 have a word. This isn't very inspiring for people to pay for your premium service.

I've enjoyed this app mostly. Occasionally some glitches when casting to TV/Chromecast Device. Extremely disappointed by Channel 4's hosting of Rick And Morty. All content deleted today around timing of new episode. Why can't I watch an episode or stream the live episode. Other platforms like iPlayer or itv enable me to do so whe something premieres. It's bad enough it shows here several days later than in USA. I love taskmaster but would rather other channels/netflix had the rights to R&M in uk

Chanel 4 seem to to be competing with ITV over who can make the worst OD services. It crashes rewinds after you pause it so you have to watch a whole bunch of adverts to get back to where you were watching. The add breaks also don't line up with where they should. Chanel 4 have great content, but this is terrible.

I've stopped watching due to the issues with it going back to the start during ad breaks when using Chromecast. It's so frustrating as it makes it pretty much unwatchable. I'm missing the latest Taskmaster series as a result :(
