I would rate it higher if you don't mess up the fricking controls, the original was simple and easy to learn, but now there to much things on the screen for specific item and I even know to work them. If you are going to change it back to the old controls, here's few things to add, a grappling hook that can be its know separate buttons and maybe a mini can.

Personally my overall favorite game, and almost every aspect about it is perfect. Although it's 2D, it's a huge game, and I don't think it's a mobile game, nor was it meant to be one. Also, it was first released on PC, and therefore the controls are hard to port to mobile, which makes them confusing and awkward. Being able to play Terraria offline is nice to have, (ik it's the main point of having terraria on mobile, or any other game) but, if I were you, I'd play it on PC if and when I could.

My first problem with this game WAS the controls, but in the 1.4 update they allowed for all the controls to be customized. Either that or I didn't see it. But, I still have a problem, it's the sensitivity customization for your cursor, I'm not sure if there's an option specific for it, but whenever I change my sensitivity, it doesn't change. Other than that, runs well, even on a cheap phone it had very few lag spikes.

This game is really fun! The controls are easy to get used to (but screw the grapple stick). This is my go-to mobile game. Worth every penny! Edit for C&C Update: I like how now the controls can be edited, but the one problem I have is that there is no way to change the controls for people playing with a keyboard and mouse (in my case, I'm playing on a chromebook). Also you can no longer move the sun/moon on the title screen, bit bummed about that...

Update from 2 to 3: My last review stated that the controls were a mess and requested controller support. Well, they added that. However, do be aware that not all controllers work. Not sure which ones, though, as I only have one and it doesn't. Mine's the SteelSeries Stratus Duo, and only its left bumper works on this. And I'm not sure if you can change the layout to get it to work because it's not really clear how to do that. Tapping doesn't work, holding the selection on-screen doesn't work.

Best game of my life. I've had thousands of hours on PC, Console, Old-Gen, and Mobile. No matter how many hours though, I always find something new to do, even more challenging than last time. Thank you for the endless hours of boss fights, exploring caves, raiding the underworld, seeking the lihzahrd temple, mapping out the dungeon, fishing in various locations, going into space, and collecting thousands of unique items throughout the game. There's so much but I don't want spoil it all. Thanks!

It's an amazing game over-all. It took me over three months to fully see what the game had to offer, spending 4 to 7 hours on it a day. It's got enough secrets and gear to keep you captivated for a lifetime. However, there are many complications for multiplayer, especially for mobile. I actually came to the game page to try and download it onto my computer, only to have it not listed as an option. It really is too bad. I was really hoping to be able to upload my most played worlds my computer, so I'm not always trying to look into a tiny screen (which I fully understand is a given for mobile games). The point is, multiplayer's tricky; and cross-platform, forget about it. Other than that, easy 5 stars. Literally the best mobile game I've ever had the honor of owning.

Very fun game! Easy to play for 10 mins or 2 hours. All of the biomes are exciting to explore. Controls are a little rough, even after adjusting sensitivity settings, but it's not bothersome enough to ruin the game play. I like journey mode where you can adjust the various parameters of the game to create a really chill experince to a super challenging experience. Love the game and feel like it was worth the buy.

It's a very cool game. Lots of content, loads of fun. However, on mobile, it is impossible to reliably move, jump, and use a weapon or tool at the same time. The restrictions to movement and flexibility of your character really can hinder the whole terraria experience overall, especially in early hardmode, haha! That's the only problem I have, I'm a fan of the new mobile controls, the grappling hook especially, and am LOVING the journey's end content. Great game! I highly reccomend!

I love this game! It is challenging, fun, and overall has an amazing storyline. However i wish the old controls would come back. Or at least an option for a switch in controls in the menu. Please make this change/update. The old controls were so much simpler. Thankyou for all the time & effort put into this Fantastic game!

The game is amazing, and I love how they finally added controller compatibilities to the new update. But, the 1.3.0.7.8.1 has a few bugs that the developers need to fix. The controller is very slow half the time, pressure plates don't work perfectly, some players in hardmode will see bone serpent heads flying around with no body. But the most annoying thing that happens is when auto swinging swords break blocks sometimes.

The game it self is amazing. As a long term fan of Terraria I think the game has a lot of stuff to do and to work for and overcome. However the new control system is weird. It would be nice to have the older more simple control scheme back, with the mount and grappling hook buttons added, aswell as the old hot bar. I think this would make the game a lot easier for newer players especially of smaller phones who hit the wrong button because the buttons are too small.

Terraria is one of my most favorite games without a doubt. This update has long been waited for and overall it's pretty great! Of course, it has some very obvious flaws. THE CONTROLS. WHY. It is so painful to have to press 2 individual buttons to both jump and attack. the entire screen is extremely crowded and it's hard to play. Everything is also a lot darker, and it causes me to die a lot. Fix these changes and this will be a truly stunning game

I am loving this game so far. Been only playing for three days now, and already I am in space. Literally. The controls are a bit slow to react (namely, when I switch between items in my hotbar. Also, why does it default to the bottom left item. It makes no sense.) But other than the slow controls, it is an amazing game. Exactly like I remember it. Keep up the good work 😄

I liked the game before it updated on April 7th of 2020, but now I love it! Before the update, I was always wishing there would be some sort of customization to the controls, because I would accidentally keep hitting the quick buff button, but with the update and customization, I can move it to wherever necessary. Seriously, thank you. Also, the update has some bugs, like the game sometimes crashing, but I know you guys will fix it.

The touch controls are passable however they are hard to use when attempting to perform quick actions which is why there should be broader controller support or at least the ability to map controls to fit your respective controller. Overall the game is amazing and provides a lot of content, but controller support would make the experience a lot better. Especially for people who have hard time with accuracy on touch screens.

After the first hour playing after several months, I can say the game definately improved in some areas such as the saving issues I get sometimes. My only gripe now is the low customization options with the UI. I had an easier time playing the game with two giant joysticks and a hot bar, theres all these shortcut buttons that get in the way while moving or attacking. I will change my rating to 5 stars if there will be an update to further customize UI, rather than moving it around.

around the time where you could mine placed wood with an axe, is when I started playing. This game does everything right. From the graphics to the mechanics and especially the music and atmosphere. The game overall is definitely top tier, each little thing is amazing. There is so much to explore and everytime you find something new, you get a feeling, and that's really addictive. Even when there's a update coming out soon, it's worth the wait. Do play! ❤️
