Fine as a time sink and if you travel a lot it's a novel companion app. The "Battle System" is absolutely horrendous. Being a pokemon game I expected some semblance of competitiveness but it is the worst thing I've ever seen, which really defeats the purpose of the game.

I hate to give such a poor rating to a game that so many people seemed to enjoy but, presently, it's essentially unplayable. After seeing a lot of negativity from longtime users, I decided to try play quickly realized all the negativity is 100% warranted. Every attempt I made at playing was ended early because of astonishingly bad lagging issues or the app completely freezing. Sometimes the game would last for 15-20 minutes and other times it wouldn't even load. It's unfortunate but true.

The game is great, but the implementation is horrible. The game uses a ridiculous amount of memory which causes it to have to completely restart (and log in again) if you switch away even to do something as simple as looking up something in Chrome. The game is glitchy and buggy with choppy animations. The game is slower and less reliable on modern phones than in 2016 on phones of that era. It frequently takes minutes to log in when using Google as the authentication method -- not ok!

The app interface needs work. The fact that there is no drop down box to switch between Google accounts you're signed into on your phone for payment options is annoying. If you're signed into more than one account, at some point PoGo will randomly switch to a different account to use as the main payment account. The only fix is removing all accounts, then uninstalling and reinstalling with the account you want to use. If you use any other account, it will randomly switch again to another one.

Game stutters and lags constantly. Last season it was actually the most stable it has ever been. But this season has been abysmal. Reinstalling, deleting all data, clearing cache, downloading all game assets. Nothing helps. Fix this thing I've wasted countless hours and dollars on please. Thanks.

The game is fun as always, perfect for having some free time, but I wish it was easier to swap between accounts, like how instagram and Twitter have it easy. Also would like if customization wasn't so inferior, it would just be a bit more fun if you could look a little more like your trainer. Lastly (as im sure most people have asked for this) it would be fun to see other trainers around you (optional choice) just so it feels less alone, it can be a way to friend too.

Updated: Almost 4 years to the day and I'm happy to report most hiccups have been fixed! Obviously an awesome game, the app can get a little glitchy or seems to get over loaded so I have to close and reopen often but the developers know what they're doing for the most part. One thing I really don't like is the raid battle notification pop ups, they're really annoying. There's always room for improvement but overall it's super enjoyable and motivating

Amazing love this my favourite by far Would 80% recommend. But nentendo is always adding tiny details and never on the important stuff. And I get the master ball is the best thing in the game but you expect us to finish that, the first time was easy but the second time,we only got like 40 days and saing that it sounds like a long time but thinking I only go on Pokémon go every other day for 20 min or so that's not a lot. Plus when I do go on a walk I only have like 10 Pokémon appear altogether.

I really enjoyed playing this game and grinding on it, but lately, the new part where you can follow routes has been a really big, unsatisfying part. I especially don't like that I need to follow routes either to complete research tasks either because it is just inconvenient. I mainly play this game, walking to work or at the park. Im not trying to walk into areas I dont know or dont feel safe walking into just to complete this. I will say this really makes me not want to play really anymore.

Routes made the game unplayable. I had Adventure Sync turned off and was walking a route. The game asked me whether I wanted to turn it on (why?) and I accidentally clicked turn on. Well, that was that. The game crashes and there is no way to turn off Adventure Sync as the game crashes upon relaunch. Even if you walk 800m away from the route, it still won't get the hint. I had to uninstall the game and reinstall to escape this nightmare. Great feature, Niantic.

I do love completing missions & visiting new parks, while playing a game I've been a fan of since childhood. Every time there's an update, my game gets worse. I am having freezing glitches, where I'll complete raids & battles & then I get errors & receive none of the rewards. Oh, but my pokemon still lose their hp, so I have to heal them. I know I'm not the only one, since a bunch of friends have said they're experiencing the same issues.

It feels as though Niantic can't make a new feature engaging, both routes and parties have been a bust for me and for very similar reasons. They're unrewarding. Everything you can get using these features can be earned more easily and efficiently through other features, with exception to zygarde cells which spawn very infrequently, even when they do, you'll probably only get 1 after doing an entire route. I hope these features are improved upon and balanced to insentivise people to use them.

As before it is lagging a lot in my phone. Sticking in some screens. But the game concept is awesome. It is a very enjoyable for me. But because of the lagging issues, I can't play it at all for the most of the time. Please 🥺 fix it.

The current version is lagging. My friends who are also using android are experiencing the same issues. **UPDATE** they released a new version, and it's still lagging while checking IV lvls and sending gifts. I will give more stars when this issue is fixed.
No Run
Can't open research. Every time I click the research button game freezes. I can't progress. Started out of nowhere and then persisted. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, verified game files , waited for an update to the app , contacted support. Nothing has fixed it. Galaxy s22+

I once loved this game, got my family and friends to join. Spent quite a few $$$. In the past month it stopped recording my game data, preventing me from progress. Even after contacting them multiple times I was told to go through the troubleshooting steps. I had already taken those steps and still have problems. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME!!. UNTIL THEY CAN OWN UP AND FIX THEIR STUFF I NEVER WILL!!!!!!

Edit Update: Every time they "fix" something, something else doesn't work! They claim they fixed "minor bug issues" and now I can't evolve my Pokemon. This is seriously getting ridiculous. Dont really know what the hell happened in the last update, but the game wont load at all anymore!! It signed me out and every time i try to log back in it just stays on a loading screen. Absolutely ridiculous. Most likely wont be using anymore. And will recommend others not to use as well

constant crash and Still consistent. super slow with lag and delay, constant loss of GPS signal. Ridiculous. Can't even play without it crashing. Same issues as 5 years ago just now pokemon. Pvp is riddled with hackers. Constantly tanks data as well. ongoing with no sight in resolution or response, let's not forgot the outrageous amount of lag, freeze. And nothing loading since the newest Halloween installment. Update. Eerie echos will not register any km's walked, covered well over 5 km today
