Description of 70mai

70mai App is a mobile phone software used with 70mai Smart Dash Cam.

After connected to 70mai Smart Dash Cam by Wi-Fi, you can get realtime image preview from your dash cam. You can also watch historical footage and even download important pictures/video to your cell phone. This process is super simple and does not use your SIM card.

In addition, you can check firmware update and download update package by 70mai App. Then, you can push the update package to the dash cam and start updating the device.

This app is bad in many ways. 1. Mandatory registration. 2. No background file copying. 3. No option to choose local album folder location. 4. Videos take twice as much space because in order to copy them from the phone I have to publish them first (copy into a folder I can find instead of the default local album). 5. The Chinese developer does not listen to feedback at all. 6. The app now demands location service access.

Every firmware update all settings gone. This is frustrating as ADAS and other data had to be redone! Forgotten: app showed traveling over 25,000km within one hour, care to explain? 🤣😂🤣

The dash cam hardware itself is pretty good. But poor software design functionality and product support almost non existence. The user guide is not accurate or updated. Function describe in user guide does not match actual product. Several critical features missing : 1. time synchronization with gps. Accurate timing is critical as evidence during accident. 2. GPS coordinates and speed not embedded in video file when downloaded to be played on PC. 3. Battery level indicator

1. In a specified video of specified time, App should have option to crop option and that will help to share and send relevant required Portion of full video, Full video can’t be shared to anyone due heavy size and Length of non-relevant Portion also 2. Non-download runs well in app & a Downloaded video run like buffer video type why So – This really bad issue urgently need attention. 3. All should extract Photo from video to read Registration Plan or App should also have 0.2

Video quality is great but the App does not allow you to choose the length of time you want each video recording to be. Currently is lasts from 30 seconds to 1 minute. It is very important to allow you the user to decide the length of time each clip record for. If the user wants to record the whole journey, then it should be one video or in segments of 5, 10 to 30 minutes. Also allow the user to decide when to record, the dash cam starts and stops based on power input.

Why do I need to create an account to use it? There are a lot of similar softwares where create an account is optional and you can use it without login.

In general the dash cam app is good and user friendly. What I don't understand is why the recording has to continue for a minimum of 20 minutes after one has stopped and parked the car. The software should be updated to allow setting the recording to stop after a one (1) minute only! In addition I would like to select fast forward and fast reverse in the recordings. Looking forward to the next software update where I could rate the app with an additional star to 5 stars. Thank you devs!

The worst app I've ever tried. To the point I felt the urge to return the camera. It reset the device to factory defaults 3 times by itself. The connection process is clunky and poorly designed. Confirmation prompt on the device is very random. When you exit camera in the app, you cannot go back to it. You have to restart camera itself and start over. It once showed I have update available, I didn't update, but then it showed it's up to date... Awful.

A good and easy to use app, can be quirky at times but it overall does its designated job. 1 critical thing it lacks though is the ability to turn voice commands off. The dashcam randomly turns sound recording on and off when exposed to not-so-lourd music. It also has an "adjust picture" fuction in the device settings menu that serves absolutely no purpose (at least on my device.)

The cam hardware is pretty good for the price. Multiple issues with the Software though. As others have mentioned, there is no option to customise the length of the recorded video. Second, the app only allows single file downloads. If you have multiple videos/images to download, you either have to take out the memory card or download those one-by-one through the app using the wifi hotspot. Really needs a redesign of the app.

All works well (cam pro), but it would be better to have the possibility to change the sounds of the ADAS functions. Saying all the words of the respective actions is too much and annoying, especially when it's repetitive. A simple short sound would be perfect. A small change like this will generate an enjoyable trip for sure!!. It shouldn't be complicated to add this function in a future update. Thanks.

Video quality is fantastic, but it has a few poor UI and UX design choices. I had expected the GPS for the dash pro to display speed in the video however it doesn't. Help section is very basic. It would be great if one could select multiple files to download as opposed to one by one. It has potential and does the job, but it could be so much more, unfortunately there is a lot of wasted potential.

ADAS is great function. It would be greater if we can opt for "beep" tone as warning instead of human voice. Repeating warning is about to drive me crazy. Please consider to provide an update to include such option. Thank you
