SketchBook did everything that I needed and was easy to use for about a year. I liked that it was organized and I could draw immediately. It was similar to its PC counterpart, which I have also used, but I took some time to adapt to a phone setting. Unfortunately, I will be moving on to a different app. SketchBook is limited to about 20 layers. For the past few months, the app has been crashing in the middle of use and some of my files disappear or get deleted, making me lose all my progress.

It usually works great, and the customization options are all there, but there have so far been 3 occasions where each and every one of my files have become corrupted and unusable. There are workarounds to save a png of what remains, but I have lost dozens of hours of work on layers and different projects. So use this app for the tools and ease of access, but make frequent and constant backups of everything you do.

This is a good app! It has one problem that I get really infuriated by. The untire drawing goes black, then I have to tap on the canvas and it will go back to normal, then when I need to change the color or brush it goes black again, this causes it to have many little dots on the drawing. It works fine on my phone, but on computer, not so much. I love this app, but if you could fix this one problem I would have it on everything. Thanks.

This is a phenomenal app, and one that's free to use at that, but, a few of the features, ie. the magic wand tool, will frequently and suddenly stop working. It is a tremendous inconvenience when you're halfway through a drawing and your wand tool stops working, which means you have to add color by hand....which is a nuisance when the line art and the color art are on the same layer.

Love what this app offers, especially for free! I'd highly reccommend it if youre willing to work around a couple things. For one, you can really only work on 1 piece at a time, since if you close it for too long and try to go back, it refuses to open. And second, they removed the option to use copic colors. I've found it pretty easy to learn to work around that but it would be awesome if those things were fixed, as well as possibly being able to download brushes, cant do that on mobile

When you say "free app with no ads," you mean it! No subscription necessary, yet an amazing number of features. This is my favorite drawing app! However, I have had a few issues, such as the app crashing randomly or taking an infuriating amount of time to load, especially when doing things such as merging layers or copy/pasting. Thankfully, when the app does crash, the art is saved! Yet I would greatly appreciate it if this minor issue could be fixed. Thanks for an amazing app!

I really like this app, I used it basically every day. But one day, it just crashed on me mid drawing and didn't save my work. And when I tried to open the app back up, it would crash when the screen turned white. I'm not sure if it's just my phone or what but I've deleted so many pictures, videos and songs just to try and download it back and it still keeps crashing.

No ads, runs smoothly with my phone. I love it! I've been using this app for 2 years now and it has really improved both my digital art skill and real life drawing. When adding text though, it gets pretty laggy when you type in a lot of characters. That's understandable, and I've found a way around it. Just lots of copy & pasting. Been using that for concept art. Other than that, I rate it 5 stars. It's really helped me grow as an artist, maybe it could help you too, 'Person Reading My Review.'

It was a wonderful app, then it updated. Just now, I was finishing up a commission, with many, many layers and detail. Suddenly the app crashes, and deletes more than half of the layers?? I don't know what you people did, but it's not working very smoothly, and now I'm out 50$ because my commission is ruined. Fix this bugs and crashes and I'll change my rating.

I love this app and for a majority have had amazing experiences. However, I do not like how whenever I update this app, I can no longer access my gallery. When working on a drawing, if I save and go to my gallery, nothing happens. If I don't save and go to my gallery, the app crashes and closes. My only other option is to uninstall and reinstall the app and lose all my art. Hope this gets fixed to make an absolutely amazing experience.

This app is remarkable for free software. I've experienced some minor glitches (like the fact that it sometimes erases closed circles), but overall I'd be happy to pay for what is featured here. Excellent brushes, erasers, and blending tools. Gorgeous colors. I'd like to see a log in capability to share my work between devices, and the save/corruption issue (which I've never experienced, but seems to be a common complaint) absolutely *must* be fixed. Otherwise, this app is near perfect.

This is one of, if not, THE best free drawing and coloring apps out there. I would recommend this app to anyone who is starting out with digital art. It's great for those who want a simple, straight forward, and overall easy to use program. The tools work great and the different modes make it easy for professional looking art. All I would say in the problems category is a refined fill tool, and an easier way to remove images you drawn over. Simple things like that. Thank you for this app and the wonderful opportunities for my art.

It has been a wonderful experience for months now. It has so many brush options and I can really make beautiful and professional illustrations with it, and the controls and very simple and easy to use. But recently, a few days ago even, it's been glitching. I'm drawing when suddenly it stops responding to what I'm doing, and I either have to refresh or the app closes on it's own without warning. It works when I log back in again, but some of my progress was lost. This is happening on the Desktop

I love this app. I've been using it for years, and I've done amazing works without any problem, and now that the full version is free I'm utterly content. I recommend it to literally every artist who asks me about good drawing apps. The only two feature that it's missing is the possibility to manipulate the contrast with a level bar and also a system of fx, even though 'blur' is the only effect that I really want...Usually I have to go to other apps to do those thing, but everything else is fine.

App came highly recommended during searches. It is free, loaded with great brushes, tools and features. I was disappointed to find the lack of a 2D grid feature. I do a lot of geometric drawing and this would be extremely helpful. Overall it is amazing especially for free. I would love to see a 2D grid with some sort of snap feature or measurement system. Oh and starting the circle in the center, instead of the side when using the tool would be fantastic. Thanks developers for the amazing work!

Awesome app to use for drawing. This has, if I were to guess, around maybe 100 or more brushes and you can choose any color you want. Plus there's other features like the guide lines, time lapse, and the transform tool. So far from what I've seen, there's no layer limit, although that may just be me since I usually use 1-6 layers at once before merging them again. Either way, this app is super good for drawing, I'd 100% recommend this to my friends. Also there's no ads at all for anything.

Phenomenal piece of software when it works. galaxy note 8 user, and with a recent update the gallery feature has become bugged. The app crashes every time I try to open the gallery or save an image, and I have tried all of the suggested fixes. While this app technically "works," its full functionality is disastrously diminished. So much so, that I cannot recommend it in its current build. Too bad as well, because it really is a fantastic piece of software when it works.

I've been using this app for a number of years now, and while absolutely incredible, I would like to see it grow into something much more capable. Support of even more layers would be fantastic, as well as supporting opening PSDs like it once did (though this could be just an issue on my part). I would love to be able to transform things on multiple layers as well, rather than just on one; would like to see blur feature and others in addition. Overall, still an amazing app, keep up the work.

We've made some impactful improvements, the biggest being the removal of the trial.The Blog location changed under our noses, but it has been updated. You can access it, once again, from within the app.The **No Network** message no longer appears prematurely, and we added a **Back** button to retry after a real network error.We made clicking the Close button a bit easier for all popup dialogs (it was previously a bit small for fingers).
