Description of Spotlens - GPS Camera for work

Spotlens is the ideal camera app for work. It has been developed particularly for professionals like civil engineers, land surveyors, architects, construction professionals and other professionals. The app allows to take photos on site and simultaneously add information both to the file name and to the photo with use of a watermark.

Spotlens - GPS Camera & Timestamp Camera makes capturing pictures and taking notes more efficiently, combining both processes in one single app.

There is no need to take notes on a piece of paper while taking pictures. Spotlens will add your inserted notes automatically both to the picture and to the file name. This will give you more time to concentrate on your work, while Spotlens will take care of saving your notes and pictures combined in a lossless format onto your phone.

Spotlens works, so you can work!

With Spotlens - GPS Camera & Timestamp Camera, you can add a project name, company name, notes and more information, for example a reference no. or chainage directly in the app while taking pictures.
Additional relevant data for professionals, e.g. GPS coordinates / photo location (latitude and longitude and multiple other coordinate formats), GPS accuracy, altitude, address, date and time (timestamp) will be added by Spotlens.

Information that can be added:
- Project name
- Taken notes
- GPS coordinates / photo location (latitude and longitude & more)
- GPS accuracy (in m or ft)
- Altitude (in m or ft)
- Date & time (timestamp)
- Address
- Compass direction
- Customized company logo
- Reference No. / Chainage

Great app. You might create the ability for it to check the phones gps loc immediately every time it's opened. I have to update Google maps first to ensure a current loc. No app seems to have this ability - immediate check (it gets to it eventually) - so perhaps this is technically easier said than done, or too battery draining? My battery can handle it and it would be a welcome option. Again, geat app.

Nothing but respect to developers! This is excellent app!, and also I would like to add some features like showing the direction of the poles, (compass) it helps for imagine and orientation to people who receiving pictures. Dear Michael, Love your app!, new update (direction icon) looks really ergonomic which emphasizes decency of the Surveycam 👍!

I have S22 Samsung snd it has 3 camera. - App have no option to choose the camera and it always using wide angle, and flash doesn't work. - only after abt 1-2 seconds after pressing the button app actually making the photo. - If you have several projects, you need change project name - drop-down list will solve the issue. I stopped using it for work unfortunately. Please fix it 🙏

Love the app. Makes keeping track of pictures from different job sites much simpler. I would really like see the ability to lock the camera orientation to landscape mode for when I'm trying to get pictures in awkward positions.

Was going to go 4⭐ as a little buggy with fixing to landscape and dropping the logo I added. Also the ability to swap lenses to the wide angle would make this a phenomenal app. I went 5⭐ as it's free and advert free, so a little buggy and fixed lens would be very lucky of me to drop a star. Great app and amazing work. Thank you.

Edit 08/29/2022 The app is pretty nice but does not work correctly on newer phones with multiple cameras. For some reason it appears to use the normal lens for aiming but the wide angle lens for the actual photo. This makes everything toward the edges of the photo progressively tilt sideways. Other camera apps don't seem to have this issue. As is, this app is not usable for documenting project work as it is impossible to get a proper prospective on anything in the image.

Best app out there by far. This is absolutely perfect for any surveyor to use when inspecting multiple properties. Just be careful if you have the GPS location turned on for the address as it will pick up next door and label all your images incorrectly!

Have only taken a couple of pictures and played around with some of the settings but this looks like exactly what I'm looking for in a camera app that allows info to be added onto the photo. Really like how I can choose how much or how little information I want included on any given picture.

Just what I needed. Taking notes when taking pictures of factories. It would be good to be able to use '?' in the text. It has caused my phone to hang on a few occasions. And a few times crash and restart. Seemed to happen after I'd taken quite a few photos.

Loving this app so far. As Land Surveyors and Engineers, we use it on all projects for easier data management. One good suggestion I can make for the developer is that, If there was a button or function to change to wide angle camera of our field work phones/tablets then that would be great feature.

Solid app, works well, very useful for field capture of works photos. The ability to add you logo is great and something the other apps of this nature don't have. It would be great to be able to select multiple pictures to share (seems you can only select one at a time).

Interferes with my go pro and camking software. My a3/droid8 phone randomly loses ability to display landscape as a result and theres stutters n lockouts as phone slows down everything n grinds to a halt /stop sometimes. Uninstalling this has removed all those problems,and phone is back to full speed again. Apart from that my a3 camera works well enough for quick picks,serious stuff is done on a much higher spec dedicated camera,so dont see the need for this really.

Very useful, especially for field work! It makes it easy to instantly label photos both on the photo and in the file name. It's great for most photos, but can be blurry when taking photos of things with text like product labels.

App is perfect. I use this in telecommunications when auditing infrastructure and it is ideal. Very generous to be offered for free. If you were to add features, I would find it very useful if I was able to switch to my wide angle lens.

Great app, highly recommended! Couple issues (6/3/21): 1. I'm unable to drag and drop the file name order, which is unfortunate as I'd prefer the time to occur before project name. 2. Use of wide angle camera is not enabled--just the primary lens. (I saw a couple other little bugs, such as shortened location not being formatted properly here in USA, but not a big deal.) Those being fixed would make this the best! Compliments to the developer.

I've tried several timestamp camera apps and I don't like them. Lots of ads and not easy to use. This app is amazing. No ads, lots of option. Can add company logo, timestamp, gps, altitude, camera direction and much more. Will try this out next week on the job for progress photos.

This is the best gps map because even without data as long as the gps is on, it can capture the coordinates. The location is so accurate whenever I used the google map for me to validate it and as a reference for my projects. I am using it already for my inspection. I also recommended this app to my officemates and they like it. I highly recommend it to all of you to use it. Worth it. No ads that will disrupt your inspection. 👏👏👍👍
