I am not sure if this is an Android-related problem, but it seems that videos exceeding an hour of length won't play. In fact, the moment I scroll passed the folder where this certain video is stored, the app will immediately close, and this made me temporarily change to my device's default gallery app. Other than that, it has a really nice design, but it definitely lacks many features present in Google Photos — I hope all of this gets fixed.

Once again, your team changed app behaviors and made things that once worked without issue, have issue. Suddenly the thing tells me it can't move files off the internal storage to the MicroSD. Had no problem before update. It also initiated the move, which failed, on one click of a folder. What if I had misclicked? No prompt to verify intention to move. Whack.

Super app. Lightweight, simple, doesn't use much background data. Unfortunately I found a major issue: the share function (Bluetooth, Google Drive etc.) rips of location metadata. In other words: photos shared with this app will have no gps info and one can't see where the photo was taken. Now I have to scan my photos backed up in Google Drive for missing location data. Makes me angry.

i mean... it's a gallery app with folders that can be sorted in the standard ways, no ads, and a dark mode option. if that's all you need, then it's perfect! - however, there are some drawbacks. you can't drag your finger to multi-select, no search, the folders are in 2 columns while the content of each folder are in 4 columns, you cannot move/copy/rename/delete the folders but you can move/copy/delete their content, the content of each folder are sorted (&grouped) by month - that's what I found

This is an excellent app with quality features. However there is the video player setback, seriously it really sets me back. For instance when playing a video, one can not seek; if you try to swipe across the screen either to forward or rewind the video, you just end up changing the video and even the infor manu will not fade and disappear if not tapped. I would love it if it would go away on its own. Additional thing is selective video formats I mean it doesn't play all formats of videos. Fix

Big Thumbs for speed ! 👏👏 Gives you useful info like folder size and number of files straight away. But past that, it becomes amazingly average - missing out on a basic stuff, like folder sort ( which has been there since the invention of computers) and basic editing tools like exposure, contrast and saturation controls. Also, you cannot rename folders !! Why ?! While it's a brilliant viewer - in a world where people need to clear out their storage, occasionally, this is pretty useless !

It helps a lot because my phone doesn't have a default Gallery app. But there are times it bugs like hell. I deleted one video and the whole folder went into Trash. I had to restore it, which took a painful time of waiting, and brought all the unwanted files back from the Trash. I truly hope the devs would fix things soon, because this app is helpful, but not so convenient. Thank you.

Simple, fast and convenient. Small things can be improved, for example 1)you cannot rename or delete a folder 2)you cannot add photos from an existing to a new folder just after creating it, rather you have to browse through all of your photos to add them. Yes, you can move photos from an old folder afterwards but why not let us do that from the begining itself?

Bugs on Galaxy S8 are unbelievable. Most of the time I wanna open a photo or video, I see pitch black screen. No matter how long I will wait, it won't let go. Also you are not gonna be able to watch videos in full screen mode (like my S8), unless you recorded it in full screen resolution. The app is pretty good, but this two problems are making it really god damn bad.

Google Gallery app is a simple, fast gallery. Image auto-enhance is a good tool and new folders can be created. Grouping similar faces is also a great feature. However, there are some areas where the app could be improved. We can't rename folders and images. Moving photos from one folder to another when viewing the photo is not possible. There is no secure folder feature. Editing tools could be improved. Lastly, videos can't be played in fit-to-display mode. Overall, Google gallery is great app.

I love this app but it leaves alot to be wanted. Like it's so bare bones add some features to it like a Vault so I can keep my private photos away from prying eyes. Icons on photos that are already synced with Google Photos and what's not. I have to go and compair photos between the two apps to see if it's synced or not. Lastly a better photo editor built into the app couldn't hurt. Oh and release a Beta app for me to join please!

The features Gallery Go offers are nice, but it deletes any photos that I edit and save under any other format besides '.jpg'...and lately it's been deleting some of those too! Some edits that hadn't been backed up yet! If something doesn't change with that very soon, I'm sorry but I'll have to try a different app. PLEASE fix it!

Great first step that could exceed my expectations. only reason why i stuck with samsung (s10e) devices instead of pixel is because i do not like how complicated google photo is. I dont need cloud, i dont need Ai. The problem with Google photo is that when you have 60+ specific, active photo albums, its a hassel to organize all of em. im gonna give this app a shot for a while since i love its super simplicity. only suggestion i have is add a simple, non-Ai search bar tool to find albums easily.

GREAT APP!! I don't know why people are saying photos can't be moved, when they can. Use the 3 dots, create a Folder, then look below and you'll see MOVE option below. I just found it and did it. I will agree that it wasn't as clear on how to do it as the previous versions, but, it can still be done.

Thrilled to find this gallery app with NO ADS!🎉 But 3 major issues knock a star off for each: (1) Cannot create new folders/albums from inside the app. (2) Cannot attach pics from Gallery Go to messages using the STOCK GOOGLE TEXT APP. (3) Editing tools are almost non-existent. You can crop, rotate, or apply a filter. That's it. My device's screenshot editing tools have more options than this app. No response to feedback or repeated reqs for help. Ever. Google isn't good at app basics. Still.

Pro: seeing all the photos in one place while having multiple photo albums, very easy to use and having the ability to edit within the app is excellent. Whether using a pre-fixed scheme or editing the photo with additional settings. Con: Wish it had the ability to use eye dropper when editing photos.

UPDATE: Can no longer move photos at all. What a pia. I'm going to find a different AND MORE USEFUL app. Original review follows: It works, but why does it ask for permission every time I want to move a photo? And when it asks (every single time), I have to be using portrait mode, or the buttons are not visible. And why is it unable to see photos on Google Photos?

don't know if I'm completely missing it or maybe a mistake when being developed. I can't find a way to edit the text in a photo album, or even delete a photo albums and I'm not able to add any more new albums, and I'm up to 20 at this time but can't delete, not able too. I have a Blu Vivo XL5 Pro. Please any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
