Description of Sun Position, Sunrise/set PRO

Sun Position shows you sunrise and sunset times, as well as the solar and lunar path on an augmented reality camera view for any day of the year at your current location. Its handy data screen also gives you other useful information including moon rise/set times, golden hour and twilight times, and moon phase information.

The app has a map view which plots the daily sun and moon path relative to your current location. It also contains a widget for your home screen showing sunrise/set times for the current day and your current location.

This is the full version of Sun Position. You can also download a free demo version which is limited to showing data for the current day (click on more apps by Stonekick to find this).

- Viewing a potential new home? Use this app to find out when you'll get sun in your kitchen.
- Planning a new garden? Find out which areas will be the most sunny, and which areas are likely to be in shade throughout the day

Love everything about this app, even though saving coordinates can be a little tricky. By the paid version, it's not much and i can only recommend.

As a photographer, this app is perfect for researching sun direction in advance of trips. You can use it to find the precise position of the sun at the time you will be there in the future. I use it frequently, and it's exactly what I need. Highly recommended.

Great useful app. Use frequently while out photographing. Quite accurate for positioning of the suns location when out looking for photo opportunities when the sun is clouded over and I want to return another time with the sun out.

Okay. I thought the app allowed the creation of events with manual adjustments, but no. I was hoping to put in alerts for things like sunrise +3 hours, but the app doesn't have that functionality.

Works Good, useful for Amateur Radio/Maritime Operators who use "Gray Line" Propagation and must know rise/set times precisely. Would like to see "Blue Hour" time added for Photographers, and a "Geomap" showing Earth, terminator, Sun and Moon positions from that perspective, and also function as a widget. An "Alarm Clock" feature would also be helpful. This would also may be of benefit to some Religious Traditions who observe Sundown, and would make this app the hands down choice.

Great app so far. Been using it to find a good area for my new garden at my new home. Would be great if it somehow showed the shadows with the sun's path while changing the date to see which areas get more sun depending on the time of year.

Really functional. Works well. Could use a little make over maybe, but what the hell. I use this app a lot for planning film shoots, building a food forest, and similar outdoorsy things. Thank for providing me this service!

We moved to a new a address. The previous address was an ice box. We just had to move again. I investigated the new address for the sun's position in the winter and seeing it was not mid winter yet, I thought it worth the ice age experience to buy the pro version. Never regretted. The full version's calendar jump to any time of the year made it possible to see that this new address predict the sun to beat down lovely on our hyrax backs this winter. Great help to honest estate agents😲

Near accurate of sun's position in most cases. I'm looking for buying a house and I use this app to check how much sunlight the house is going to get during all seasons. The map feature is really cool as you can check sun's path on the map and simulate it both by date and time of the day.

Fantastic aid to planning any photoshoots elsewhere. To be able to gain an idea where the sun or moon will be, in advance, is a great tool for me, particularly when visiting areas for the first time. Prior planning!

I got this app because I wanted to estimate how much sun my potted plants would get based on where I put them, and this app is super handy for that. I've also used to to estimate how long it would be before an outdoor table at a restaurant would be in the shade. All in all, a pretty useful tool, worth paying for the upgraded version to get the date-setting function for seasonal estimations.

Quite comprehensive. One thing missing though is the location/path of night sky objects like the Milky Way. Would be beneficial to know where and when this can be seen. Otherwise, I am delighted with the app features.

Purchased app to help in selection of our new home - seeking best aspect for living summer and winter. Has done the job brilliantly and so easy to use. Recommended to a friend - his challenge was to identify shade cast by tall trees on a roof he planned to install solar panels. Trees have subsequently been lopped and solar now provides year-round sun! It is an amazing app that everyone should install! Love it!
