I would give them 5 stars, shoot i wouldve drew in some extra stars but after the last few weeks, two is all i can think to give. I have always paid on time, sometimes even early. I had one late payment ( that i went through online and filled out their " form " explaining why it would be late ) and my spending limit of 1400 went down to 100. I never missed a payment and this was my first " late payment " after using them for years. It just baffles me.

Afterpay is a wonderful service but the app is terrible. The window asking you to check to reduce carbon emissions will not close and the x in the corner actually disappears after 2-3 seconds. Should you be quick and select an option before the window appears the app will hang up buffering until you get the app not responding window, or the app simply shuts off. Bad reflection on the company. Remove and reload app doesnt help. Please fix.

LOVE The Service! App Completely UNUSABLE! This app USED to work with no issues! Now I can't even make a purchase through the app because it won't even load the page to the store & if it does open, you CANNOT get to your cart to check out! No matter how many times you click your cart, it just freezes then crashes! Tried clearing cache, reinstalling, restarted phone, NOTHING WORKS! Great service, but it does NO good if you CANNOT make a purchase! Why hasn't this been fixed? SOOO FRUSTRATING!! 😡

Update: Afterpay was my favorite go to when money has been tight and I needed to purchase a gift card for gas or groceries. Now even with good payment history I am not able to purchase gift cards in same amounts I've always purchased. It's so frustrating. And to top it off its slow we than ever now!) ............... My saving grace especially during Christmas. App is pretty straight forward. Great perks like making first payment 2 weeks after purchase after so many on time payments at first.

The service is fine if you could ever use it. Shopping through the app is complete trash. Try shopping at Nike on the app for example and see what I mean. It freezes. When an add pops up, that's the end of your shopping session because you can't close it, which is usually only within 30 seconds. Unfortunately, the only way to use Afterpay through Nike is going through the Afterpay app...USELESS!!!!!!!!!!
Truth Is?
When first started using this app, I had no problems navigating between merchants. I really love it....but now it's a nightmare. It takes forever to go from one merchants to the next. Honestly, it hard to even get to the first one up opening the app. Same goes for when I'm trying to look up my account to get balances. It's a pain in the butt. If the company doesn't offer it on their website, it's hard to get it on Afterpay app. 😡😡

I used it twice. The second time, I had a late pay when I tried to change it to the day of payment beforehand. It popped up with an "uh oh" message that time and other times before that when trying to change a day of payment. I don't feel like I should have to contact customer service every time. So, one late payment, but I made an earlier one payment right after. They cut my limit anyway. It's not very good and will be ending membership.

I love using afterpay, its a huge lifesaver when you have to tighten the budget a lil more. However, having to use the app is a nightmare! The app continues to be slllooooow, it lags horribly, and often freezes up altogether. I usually end up getting frustrated and just closing the app long before my purchase is complete.

Afterpay is an awesome service and I have been an avid customer / user for over 3 years, I want to get that out of the way before proceeding that this isn't about Afterpay as a business/service.. this review is solely about the app and that it is utterly terrible. It takes 2-3 MINUTES for something to load after I click on it, the lag is unconscionable and makes it unusable. I have tried to use it on multiple devices and it's always the same (at least on Android) I haven't tried on apple.

It's not great. I was a loyal afterpay user. Many purchases through this app. Thought it was awesome. Late on 1 payment and they take your "pre-approved" away. I went from having a high approval to nothing because of 1 late payment. Pay it or pay it all off in 1 and you still don't get it back. Customers services doesn't help at all either. Doesn't really matter about your pay history or loyalty using, like it says.

The app it's self if so slow. You have to close out of the app or uninstall it and reinstall it clear the catch data and storage data so many times for it to load a single in app store. They really need to fix this for it to even be somewhat useable. Besides that it's a great way to make purchases and pay later. However if you want an easy process and access to stores that won't take hours to do id suggest one of the many other buy now pay later apps

I love Afterpay, but this app is atrocious. It's slow, and when I try to click on anything, it won't work. None of the store links open. When I try to look at my account, everything is blank. It sucks because there are things you can only do via the app, like gift cards or certain stores. Like I said, I love the program, but the app needs a rework.

I love afterpay, but the app needs tweaking. No interest credit basically. Like layaway but you get your stuff immediately. You pay 25% at checkout, then every week until it's paid off with no extra charges. The more on time payments, the higher your limit. Only complaint is the app runs VERY SLOW... You can get extra savings by going through the app first, but it takes a very long time for anything to load. What would take me 5 minute on Amazon, takes me closer to 15-30. Otherwise it's great.

Although very convenient and they did correct a billing error without trouble it's very glitchy. The app is unstable and freezes in every step. Must be unconditionally patient. It make me feel a lil unsafe. I'm thinking if it is collecting data from my device for is partners and marketing strategies. Downloaded in the background. Does anyone know the true origin of the app????

Afterpay is an amazing concept and usually runs fairly smoothly unti the past couple of months. I was used to waiting longer than average before for the app's different pages to load except as of late sometimes the pages don't load. Also the app again has to close and shut down after it "stops working" and even after multiple app restarts and a phone restart over the course of the past few months every time in app has been worse. Please help <3 :) Thank you!

This is a perfect alternative for those who may not qualify for a major credit card. It allows you to make purchases with 25% of total down at check out and make four payments. Afterpay offers great perks and rewards for making purchases and paying on time. Pay your payments on time and soon you will have a higher spend limit. No interest using Afterpay is the best perk of all!

Afterpay has been good for me. Everything has been going smoothly. But within the month, it will not load the stores I search. I've updated the app, unistalled and re-installed, and still won't load. It's funny how Afterpay can remind you when a payment is due, but can't fix the issue or respond to your concerns. It's very frustrating!

The apps use is great - splitting the payments of big purchases. The functionality of the app is virtually non existent. It is beyond dial-up internet slow. I spent over 10min trying to go to my purchases. It's never not slow and buggy, and regularly crashes. If they fix this issue I'll change my stat rating. I'm going to be using Klarna instead.
