Description of RadarOmega

Welcome to RadarOmega, the next-generation weather app that takes high-resolution weather data to a whole new level. More than just radar, RadarOmega provides unique data solutions for all types of weather data that is customizable depending on your needs, whether that's before, during, or after the storm.

Dedicated to providing solutions to our industry, RadarOmega created an exclusive network of weather stations featuring live video and sensor data called cyclonePORT. RadarOmega and cyclonePORT work closely with universities, emergency managers, broadcast meteorologists, and more to provide solutions for relaying critical weather information when life-threatening weather situations are imminent.

RadarOmega provides high resolution radar data for the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, and South Korea.

Minimal base features for the price. The features for wider coverage is an overpriced pay hell. I can see more with a free app I've had for years than this unless I pick a subscription tier for features that a Google search can do better. I know it's pushed by a few YouTube channels, but trust me this isn't worth it unless you're larping as a meteorologist and don't have to pay taxes.

Edit 4/28/20: New update is virtually unusable. Performance is awful (on an s10+ with 8gb of ram). Movement is choppy, UI is still awful, and radar data is still unreliable at best. I've given RadarOmega all the chances I can give it, but there has been no real progress and half of its features are gated behind an expensive subscription service. Just save your money and buy Radarscope.

Had given 5 stars in earlier review. Since update the map is not as user friendly. The different radar reflectivity settings are less and the map does not load as fast. The drop down menu was easier to find and understand before the update. Was one of the best weather apps I have. May uninstall if this is going to be a permanent change. Since I received the user guide the app is much easier to navigate. Giving 5 stars again.

Just purchased today and I don't understand all the negative reviews. Everything is working great on my Galaxy Note 10! Not experiencing any of the issues mentioned in other reviews, after a few hours of use. So seems like the update fixed a lot... Love the customization options and maps, and excited to use all the other features not currently available in other radar apps. Overall this seems to be a very innovative app and possibly a game changer, especially with future developments.

Possibly good for what is it created for, but very slow loading and laggy for me moving around the map. Tornadoes and Flash Flooding plenty in my area, but after a day of use playing around with the app... It is far to slow loading for use... Not sure how to request a refund, but would like one if possible. Not quite what I was hoping for due to slow load times....

Likely too much functionality for a phone. The screen is too busy and hard to navigate. The icons are meaningless and usually lead you to "premium" functions. After paying eight bucks, I wouldn't expect to see much premium. There are better radar apps out there for those who simply want to see what's coming.

Great app. However, after download of version 5, I'm no longer able to draw (using the draw tool) a circle around velocity couplets and switch to CC, to compare any possible CC drops with couplets. In addition, when switching radar sites or between radar features (reflectivity/velocity/CC,/Echo tops, etc.), sometimes the images don't load. I have to close out of app, force stop or clear cache constantly, because of this.

Thought this was the perfect radar app. However, right now there is a TORNADO on the ground less than 20 miles from our home. Load this app and there's zero radar data loading. Edit: I changed to a different tower and radar data loaded slowly. This is DFW area, TX. Loaded the app multiple times with no radar data loading, so I had to switch over to other weather apps to see the severe weather. I'm on Verizon and all other weather apps are loading radar data instantly.

When the app actually works, the radar qualities are really good. But 90% of the time the app doesn't load all the way and the screen stays black. Plus the map zooms in when I try to move to different areas of the screen. I kind of feel like a $10 app should work a little better than this.

Very nice app and radar products, and I'm really excited to see how it grows and improves over time. However, it would be nice if the app remembered the GPS setting rather than defaulting to on. Also it would be nice to have more detailed info when a storm initial point is tapped, especially on mesos and TVS. Finally, the font you use is not good - it's way too big and clunky. Overall, I am loving this app!

I have been very impressed with the speed that this app keeps being updated. The feature add on are great. The new add on I would like to see is county names added to the map as an option. But I am very happy with the app, canceled my long running R-scope subscription to join this ones subscription. Having model data right on the same map as your radar and location is extremely helpful!

I purchased this app prior to the phase 1 update. Been using the app for all the storms lots of usefull data even though I haven't bought into the tier aspect. I just have the basic subscription. One thing I have noticed with this high dollar app is its not real time. I can have major weather right on top of my house the apps radar is like 8-10 min behind. Other apps show within 0-1 min pretty much in sync with the storm. Really needs to be better for the price.

I'm a little bit upset because this app requires you to pay for it to download it, and then after you've paid for it you have to pay monthly as well in order to actually use it. Nearly ALL the features are completely locked down without the monthly fee. Like 1% of the app is usable. All the stuff advertised/highlighted? Gotta pay monthly.

I love the amount of available data, especially the complete road network, which Is something lacking from other apps but is critical when storm chasing. I also like the frequent updates and new features. One thing that bothers me is how the radar bins suddenly change resolution when you zoom in/out, as opposed to other apps like Radarscope which seem to keep the radar data resolution the same no matter the zoom level.

One of the best developed go to, one stop shop, weather app to get all the data and info you need. The app has been a great tool to feed my need for data that I want for the advanced weather analysis. One thing that set it back from 5 stars is that when I had an issue with the app with a possible weather station feed of mine that they didn't keep in contact with me to resolve it.

The app is beginning to come along nicely. The program booted and gave me a reflectivity image in 30 seconds. When choosing other radar products they're loading within 10- 15 seconds. My next test with the program will be field use. I still think a strictly radar products only app may speed responsiveness further, but I think you may be onto something. Thanks.

Easy to use interface with NEXRAD 2 access. I had to find a replacement for PYKL3 Radar when it stopped working. This is not currently as robust as PYKL3 was but they are constantly adding features. Somehow they have managed to add features while maintaining an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. I really like being able to make a 1 time payment and not have to subscribe to a service such as radar scope. I think RadarOmega is better than Radar Scope and is certainly worth the cost of admission!

Doesn't work anymore. I bought to try and replace Pykl3. Early on, it was rough and unpolished, but did what I needed by giving me the info I was looking for. But now, after some updates, and the release of the new subscription service, I can't even pull up base reflectivity. I feel baited, as I am just a simple weather nerd, and I am not willing to pay subscription fees just for the most basic of radar data. Perhaps a professional could justify the fees, but now I regret buying in years ago over other options.
