Contains actual info, unlike most that offer pretty graphics above all. Please devs, since wunderground was slain horribly by IBM I'm in need of a temp/ precipitation/ wind speed combined line graph WIDGET. In the app itself, I need that info available in hourly increments. I need fine grained precipitation info for outdoor activities that need to be scheduled accurately.

I own a gazebo which I began to use as shelter after walks, later as a semi open air space to keep my Café business running thru COVID. I fly paragliders & tour my caravan in all seasons too. It is a super planning & risk assessment tool for all , allowing me to Zoom into a local areas & predict what the conditions will be. A close zoom setting VERY rarely may miss weather that is revealed on pulling out. Once observed a glitch easily managed. Great app well worth the subscription to me!

One of the most reliable apps I use. I love the customization options and super forecasts, its great for day to day users and for those needing detailed specs. I use it when planning our scuba dive clubs launch schedules . Both The free version and Pro are great for all watersports enthusiasts.

Just wanted to say that it is amazing how you now can add wind directions and alerts, really helpfull! Always had to check a website wether the wind directions is good for a certain spot, now i can just look it up in the app! Well done! The app in general is great aswell, convenient, clear, informative! it has every bit of info to make my day of kitesurfing complete!

I sail and windsurf and this has been my go-to wind forecasting app for several years. It's always given me pretty accurate forecasts. It has a couple of really useful features including the favorites list and the wind map. Definitely give it a try.

A lot of ads and the issue is can't add home location as favorites need updates from your end and alerts for free version. It's helpful though for a seaman. But sometimes needs internet not all the time we have connection but last update at least should show. Cant understand 2h or 7h better you mention the actual hours or time. Once updated i will provide you stars.

I use this app daily, for boating on the large waters of lake ontario. I have a small 16' boat with a small motor and I require high accuracy for when I can go fishing and when I need to be getting off the lake. so far, this app has proven highly accurate for high winds and waves. when the app says winds pick up after 2pm, I'm able to leave at 1pm and the wind really does pick up at 2pm. I feel safe using this app for deciding when to go and when to stay home.

What it says for wave height and what the water is doing are 2 different things. App says waves at 0 and when I get on the water there's whitecaps. Used to be a reliable app but not anymore. I do get that the weather can change but too often the app isn't even close.

Latest update... hate the ads between scrolling down thru forecast, so intrusive.. Fortunately, I'd backed up a previous version, so reverted to it As a surfer I use several weather apps, but Windfinder has been my go to for many years. Quick intuitive layout, often recommending to others.

It is simple and makes the best use of Google maps for references. Wind directions are very precise to be honest. Only that I can't see wind forecasts beyond a month. I wonder if this feature is only available on a full paid version!

The plus supscription price per year is pretty expensive for the small amount of user-orientated add ons compared to the pay-one-time pro app (basically just alert function, which is unnecessary if you check every day - like most surfers do). Also I'm missing the Webcam-function of the pro app. Would be nice to have ** thanks for the Feedback, what about the missing webcam feature? could you provide coastal maps for popular wind spots, some feature to ensure safe surfing - currents, shallows,etc

Looks like an amazing app, too bad the wind speeds are always wrong, at least in southern British Columbia. For example right now the weather station is reporting 19 knots at entrance island but this app is reporting 7. I've been using it for several months and this is typical, just can't trust these numbers at....

I would love this app if the Map View & Satellite View showed the wind speed markers (the little fireball things). You can only see those markers when you are on the default view (the blue "map"). The WINDFINDER website does show us the wind speed markers on Map View, so I just use the website...which is free ;) For some reason the app gives us the option for Map or Satellite View but then takes away the wind speed markers. I wouldn't mind paying for the app if they added this feature. Hopeful!!

This app. totally sucks & is worthless. Don't count on the information to be right 90% of the time.

nice looking software, but this free version is often too much inacurate (wind speed forecast wrong up to 6m/s, comparing to report or current wind speed). in my opinion, unreliable. edit 04.03.2021.: I tried Pro version that have Superforecast, and that was completely different story. It was absolutely reliable and great wind app for sailing. My previous comment was only regarding Free version.
