Description of Flowx: Weather Map Forecast

Visualize the forecast with the unique Flowx weather map and graphs. Get superior user experience with all your data on one screen, finger swipe control and absolutely no ads, no tracking. Select the data for your needs from 30+ data types and 20+ forecast models, plus radar reflectivity, sun/moon-rise/set, and hurricane tracks. Honestly this is a great tool for forecast Modeling. Happy to pay for Pro. You get quite a few models. The map lays it out quite simply and it isn't an arm and a leg or ad based experience. Excellent value! Well done! Must have for any weather geek, storm chaser etc.

Love this app. Would be great if widgets made the location a bit more visible than the thin light blue text - I have two locations in a stack and it's very hard to see which location I'm looking at!

Okay, I have 9 different weather apps and this one is surprisingly accurate for planning hikes or long walks in the city. It's much more accurate than Windy, by far. Just take 5 minutes to read the Help guide and learn how to use it, it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. The pricing for the pro version is quite reasonable. The Help is all written in first person singular, i.e.: the developer of the app is talking directly to you :) My favorite weather app, by far.

I've gone through a *lot* of weather apps, everything is either trying to be Dark Sky 2.0 or looks terrible. For once, I've found one that has a great widget, and a lot of helpful information, would absolutely recommend

I love this app so much. I's much better than anything on free weather sites, and the app store. I live in Taiwan and I love to be outdoors. It's very hard to predict the constantly changing wet weather and this app gives me a good picture about what to expect, daily and hourly. Also VERY helpful for tracking typhoons and tropical storms forming, coming, changing tracks etc. For whatever reason most English language weather sites ignore typhoon news in my region or label them "thunderstorms"

If you watch your local weather all most of them will only give you temperatures and chance of precipitation but they're terrible at using a surface features map. Basically, they're not good at giving you the story for the week: cool front, warm fronts, wind gradients etc. Flowx gives you all that power at your finger tips. You'll find that you understand the weather for the week better than what's presented on TV. Buy Flowx!

Really great for outdoor activity planning. Line graphs are fully customizable. Helps you to see the big picture on the map. With practice, one can figure out local weather patterns, and estimate weather outcome probabilities on your own. I would argue, most people's complaints about the "weather man" are related to their over reliance on micro-weather apps and their inability to understand the laws of probability. With any computer algorithm the saying holds "junk in, junk out". Not here!!

Had a heck of a time finding a weather app with a decent focus on wind, most seem to leave it out of their widgets entirely and it takes a good deal of navigating to get wind forecasts. I was originally uncomfortable with the map, like just tell me the numbers in a list lol. But it's straight forward enough to learn, and after customizing it to focus on wind I literally just open the app and start scrolling through the future And the amount of info they cram into the widget is magnificent!

Awesome weather app, Duane, finally! I took Meteorology in college & then again, when I went for my pilot's license. You cover it all! I love the colors, I love the animation & the smooth progression thru time. You may want to make a short 5-min. video to show what you can do with this app. That will let people know what's possible in it. I like ur promo, but something that shows steps—how you get there, for people that aren't adventurous & wouldn't know what do do next, would be very helpful.

I've really come to depend on this app. It's enjoyable and challenging to visually have access to so much data, so quickly, and be able to evaluate and draw your own conclusions from it. Having the graphical context of various models, instead of just a plain forecast, is eye opening.

I came to this app after being frustrated with all the other apps being poorly organized/saturated by ads. I hate tables of numbers and having to click around a lot. This app is perfect, gives simple minimal yet informative plots of weather data and no intrusive ads (are there ads at all?). Cheers to the developer!

Brilliant and unique weather app! This app is truly original from anything else I've ever seen. It takes a little while to personalize it, and to really understand what it is showing, but once you have done that and invested a small amount of time and effort to really understand how this is presenting data, it is brilliant in its simplicity and ability to convey all the information you want almost instantly. The ability to quickly, easily forecast is also unparalleled in weather apps.

Lacks a centralized intuitive interface, like the other apps, however provides an in-depth meteorological radar with multiple sources and sophisticated viewing options. Makes a good secondary app for the initiated, but is generally unnecessary and not the best for "at a glance" weather reports for your average user. Edit: upon reading the review myself, it does come across as a bit negative but personally i couldnt be happier with their forecast. Very informative, must have for working outside.

Best app I've found for directly viewing weather models. Highly customizable and works pretty seamlessly. I used it extensively in the remote Pacific to track incoming storms and compare between models, and I really appreciated that you can select what data to show and the app will only download that specific data--great for limited internet connections. Well worth the gold subscription to get more frequent forecast updates, access a better selection of models, and support a great developer.

I really, really like this app and I want to give it 5 stars, but I have one annoyance that has been detracting from my experience. For some godforsaken reason, this app displays a notification every single time it's updating data. Why? I wish I could just have the very well crafted widget on my home screen without my screen being woken everytime it pings back home, and I haven't found a toggle for this. I yearn for a solution. Other than that, the app is dope.
