Description of MeteoSwiss

The MeteoSwiss App from the national weather provider. With weather forecasts, current measurements, a blog about weather and climate and natural hazard warnings. Including individualizable live tiles and zoomable maps. Save your favourit places in Switzerland and get the corresponding weather details and subscribe to the warning threshold and types of natural hazard warnings sent as push notifications.

Weather forecasts
• Clickable and zoomable map with overview of locations for the next 6 days
• Weather on-site
• Wind / temperature at different altitudes
• Text forecast for three climate regions of Switzerland including driving conditions and possible development of the weather situation for the following week
(in German, French and Italian)

This app is great at telling you how the weather was and currently is, but terrible at forecasting. So many times I've gotten dressed for an outside event because the app said no rain. While I'm traveling there, it starts raining and I look at the app and it says rain till the evening. Borderline useless.

I use this app every day, all the time. I can view weather in multiple locations and plan my day/ week with conference. I particularly like the warnings I get when fasť storms are approaching our village.

The weather forecast is absolutely awful. It do not show the rain coming. When it rains the app doesn't get the right information.

Wonderful app providing clear and meaningful info about the weather in Switzerland. Gives access to the data from the weather stations across the country, weather radar, and good quality forecast. Now also integrated with the Swiss alert system.

Non-existent support. The isobar chart has been broken for a week now with an error im place of the chart. I sent them a mail with a screenshot and they have neither replied nor fixed the error.

Used to be quite reliable, but must have changed the source of the data, as its mostly off now, rain radar shows no rain and it's pouring cats and dogs...

The app is ok but forecast is really not accurate Keep changing the forecast several times a day so at the end it doesn't make sense to use it as it is more accurate to take a look out through your window !

Usually love the app. But the new update with the white bars where it "might rain" are terrible. Makes for a more confusing experience and i have been rained on more than ever compared to the old version.

There is no way to look up the weather for one location without adding it to the home screen, which is what I want to do most of the time (for one time trips). I constantly have to clean out the home screen, which is hugely annoying. Will give 5 stars once this is fixed.

This app is more exact than my wife's app and a 3rd one my neighbor uses. The settings are easy and the user interface is smooth, a big plus is I can see my weather in English even though I'm fine with German, maybe it supports other languages too.

Very usefull information in regards to weather, accurate and simple to use. And that's for free! Thanks to all who pay Taxes in Switzerland. Lot of other payable apps can't keep up...

Very good customisable weather app with some extras.

Never wrong. Just missing lakes temperature forecast. Weather warning notifications don't stack (not grouped by app/location), it clutters the notification center when you have 10 alert notifications.

The app is good, but the forecast is not. In Basel, at times, you can see it will rain. You can smell it. The app shows: No rain whatsoever the whole night. 15min later: Pouring rain. App then updates: Oh hey, it will rain for 3h more. How does this happen?! Also sometimes it glitches (1h data is missing in cloud forecast) and the online feedback form is broken (*fill out field with star, always lit up, no possible way to submit the form). It's promising, but very, very much disappointing.

It has become less reliable, for some reason the forecast is not reliable anymore, it uses to be really on point. Not even the current conditions in terms of rain are accurate. Temperature is about right though.

Here, additional information is welcome in order to better assess the current situation and effects.
