Really useful, I'm guessing the subscription makes it even better. A little unreliable at times but good overall. Only forecast app I've ever used

Hands down the best surf forecast app. Most surf cams. The wind charts could use some work, but overall, totally worth the premium membership.

The app itself is pretty easy to use and read. One thing I wish was a little easier was comparing breaks at a future time instead of just right now.

OK, the app is OK, but how long are the cameras going to be out of action for??? Used to be a great service, but I don't care how flashy the app is, without the cameras it's next to useless!

Great app, just takes an adjustment period from Magic Seaweed. Use it for swimming, it's better than MSW as there's more data at your fingertips. Easy to navigate. I have the free version and it's great.

The app is pretty underwhelming. Useful for checking the forecast at favourite spots, but for anything else (e.g. charts) you'll need to check out the website. Nowhere near as good as the Magic Seaweed app that it has replaced :(

Pissed off that surfline bought MagicSeaWeed. Took a simple app that worked great, easy to navigate, visually easy to read & replaced it with a much more complicated & harder to read app that is hard to navigate. Though it has a lot of info, its not necessarily a good thing. *After a couple more weeks of using this app its even more apparent how hard it is to quickly visually read. It would be far more useful to have a visual reference for trending swell forecasts. I should give it 1 star.

Garbage. Magic Seaweed at least had information for the geographic locations I wanted. This app doesn't cover the areas msw used to. It's total garbage. What an utter and complete failure by a company and an app. I am uninstalling this worthless junk and also MSW as it is no longer supported, even though I used it all the time. Surfline has taken something that had value and turned it into a worthless waste of space.

I surf in Cornwall so this review is based on the accuracy of surflines forecast there. I'm not sure how the algorithm has changed since the magic seaweed take over but it is definately for the worse. Fortunately it displays enough data to allow your own analysis as surflines is poor. I recommend adding functionality so surfers can submit what they think the conditions are post surf. Over time you will be able to see what conditions produce happy surfers for each break.

I have found the app to easy to use and intuitive. Forecasting is pretty good and cams help know the current state before you head to the beach.

App and Website need serious work. Magicseaweed was a lot better. Charts were dead easy to access. Site was nicer to look at as well. Not impressed at all with this merger. Saddened this happened...but that's capitalism for you! Surfline is very much far inferior to Magicseaweed. At a minimum if I were to continue to subscribe to Pro I would expect a far better interface and easier access to the charts. MSW doesn't couldn't factor in the effects of Headlands very well but this is even vaguer!

I have to drive at least 30 miles to get waves, so making sure I don't miss proper info is paramount. Saves gas, too.

The cams are great but that's about it. Difficult to use generally. MSW also used to be pretty good at predicting swell heights, conditions etc based on the beaches, bathymetry, topography, but surfline just seems generic and inaccurate. The forecasters/reports are also laughable - written like they are knowledgeable but clearly just sitting at a computer somewhere, not actually surf checking. Really miss the community experience of MSW, the eyeball reports, photos. And usability!

Terrible!! Worked perfectly as magic seaweed, surfline wants to charge you for everything while, and for some reason high and low tide times have now been taken off

The only reason I'm only 2 starring is the freakin price of premium... I still check the surf with Surfline but all the major spots are premium only and that sucks.

It helps me know when and where to go. I do wish there were more cameras for Sonoma County, CA though!! I used the one at Dillon Beach for years then it disappeared.....

This app is the best! A true must for surfers. It is so accurate and makes life and surfing excellent. So much better than back in the day calling the tower to get the recorded surf report

Surfline is great for checking our local break. Between the written report, the data and the camera I rarely miss a good day and it's fun to be able to check the beach at any time without going down there in person.
