the notifications are quick, the locations are precise and it's a lot of fun (if you get excited by lightning like myself)

This is an excellent application. You can define an area and get notices as lightening approaches and strikes inside that area. I use this application to take protective measures for radio equipment remotely and keep informed about the status of weather conditions as it evolves. It's worth the piece mind and gives me the opportunity to minimize down time and a kind of informal insurance against equipment damage.

Here's the trouble. No one wants constant notifications. No one wants notifications that don't apply. Unfortunately, this app sends you notifications if a lightning strike happens, in a different country!! Silenced, therefore, useless, therefore uninstalled.

it can be a little annoying if you have notifications set to wide area but really good to know when you can expect to see lightning

Not very accurate. I get an alert about lightning nearby, open app.....nothing nearby. Last night there was lightning very close, in fact, started a fire, but no alert. Will be uninstalling as all the useless notications are annoying.

Settings for strike notifications are hard to adjust. You can't type a specific number, just a slide bar that changes as you let go. Every time the app updates it changes the distance back to default

I like this app but every time I try to play the radar I get another weather app that pops up and when I downloaded, it took control of my phone and changed everything. Then I got a call and text from an unknown number that I didn't reply to but after I finally went into the playstore and Uninstalled it the text message disappeared from my list. Damn hackers !!!

Excellent app. Only issue I've seen is it notifies me of lightning strikes that are over 200 miles away despite my radius setting to be approx 40 miles

Would be useful to have more than one set of range / alerts for a wide area and nearby separately.

I learned about this app from someone who lives in the same town (Poolesville) as I do. Saw the person mention this app on a Facebook page (Poolesville's). So I decided to get it and so far I'm liking it and it seems to work well. I just wish I knew what the red and yellow dots represent in regards to the lightning strikes.

Looking for an alternative. I'm listening to thunder for a second day but it isn't showing the lightening in my area. There isn't a clear legend for types of markings.

Horribly inaccurate, So much so that the zone warning system leads about 60/70 false hits. Lightningmaps. Org is way more accurate you won't find yourself with dots all around you with no lighting or thunder like you will with this

Love this app, but recently has been informing me of lighting all over the world, i.e., this morning at 0.35 it showed me there was lighting near ne in Romania, I live on the Isle of wight ! That's where I have only given 4 stars

App works great. It really needs an option for "show most recent strike". The closest strike option is nice, but I need to monitor most recent strike inside of my set radius.

I love that I tells me where lightning strikes have been reported. But yesterday it used 425MB with no approved update and there was no bad weather in the area. Keep an eye on it.

App has been fantastic tool for many years. But seems to have just stopped working. No lightning data loads. If fixed will be 4 stars.

This app was perfect, then the ads came. WTAF? I can understand needing ads, but every click a new ad comes up. Been using this app for years, reckon I'm gonna delete/uninstall know.
