Description of Mario Kart Tour

■Challenge players worldwide in multiplayer!
You can race against up to seven other players, whether they're registered as in-game friends, nearby, or scattered around the world.

Multiplayer races can be customized with a variety of rules, such as individual or team races, kart speed, and number of item slots. You can play however you want!

■ Mario Kart takes a world tour!
Mario and friends go global in this new Mario Kart as they race around courses inspired by real-world cities in addition to classic Mario Kart courses! These destinations will be featured in tours that rotate every two weeks! In addition to courses based on iconic locales, some of your favorite Mario Kart characters will get variations that incorporate the local flavor of cities featured in the game!

■ Endless Mario Kart fun at your fingertips!
The Mario Kart series known and loved by many is ready to take the world by storm – one smart device at a time! With just one finger, you can steer and drift with ease and sling devastating items as you go for the gold in cups filled with new and classic Mario Kart courses.

■ Nab 1st place with items and Frenzy mode!
In Mario Kart Tour you have access to an arsenal of powerful items that can mix things up on the racetrack! Turn up the heat by activating the new Frenzy mode, which gives an unlimited supply of a certain item and makes you invincible! Make the most of the ensuing chaos, as Frenzy mode only lasts a short time!

■ Collect drivers, karts, badges, and more!
Earn Grand Stars by racing or fire off the featured pipe to receive more drivers, karts, and gliders! You can also proudly display badges, earned by completing certain challenges, next to your in-game name!

■ Bonus challenge courses put a twist on traditional races!
In certain races, 1st place isn't always the goal. With names like "Vs. Mega Bowser" and "Goomba Takedown," these bonus challenge courses demand a different approach to gameplay and strategy!

■ Race to increase your online rank!
Boost with the best of 'em! Your high scores will determine how you compare to other players all over the world. Keep practicing and trying out different combinations of drivers, karts, and gliders to increase your score and rise to the top!

The game is as you would expect. A Mario kart game. Would be great to see if there is a double dash feature when you play with friends in real time. Although the steering controls can be greatly improved, the motion controls would feel better if you could tilt your phone on the side like watching a video. Though in my current experience tilt controls are way easier to use than moving your finger on the screen

The gameplay is fun. I like the idea of Mario kart on mobile. The point system is cool. But this is ridiculously pay to win. You need to unlock the characters and you can't play any track you want. It's impossible to get 5 stars on a lot of maps because you need a frenzy with a tier 3 character, and they never come out of the pipe. Ever. Even gold pass users are complaining. And restricting multiplayer to a premium feature (for now at least) is bs, it's one of the .ain reasons I got this game.

It is a really good game overall. I just wish that it had button steering and that you could turn your screen on its side so you could have a bigger viewing screen. I also wish that the AI could be more realistic and not getting a red shell every box they get. Another thing is that I wish they would add the tracks from Mariokart Wii in there as well as all of the karts, like the Dolphin Dasher. Still, very good game. Very enjoyable. A great time killer.

Thought it was multiplayer but it's just solo races. Your score posted up being the only method of competition among your friends and other players. Touch screen controls are alright but once you start doing consecutive hairpins and drifts, sometimes it will not register your swipes and you end up crashing into the wall. Still an entertaining game if you want to waste time on the go.

Controls suck. The concept is cool. I enjoy Mario Kart, and being able to play it without my switch is a cool idea, but it's extremely hard to control the kart. With the manual drift on, there is no proper steering. And without it, drifting isn't as beneficial. The controls don't need to be this simplified. A drift button and maybe touching either side of the screen to steer would be much better.

This game could be fun if the controls weren't so... weird. On paper, it seems intuitive: slide your finger left and right to turn. But in practice (with the drift control scheme, anyway) it's a frustrating experience. You can't make slight turns/corrections without immediately jumping into a drift, meaning you're going to run into walls, a lot. I got first place on my first race, which lead me to believe the others were having the same issue.

The control are bad. The options are limited. It would be nice to have something like an on screen wheel to steer. Steering with the phone isn't super responsive and the swipe method has a bit of a learning curve. The graphics are nice and the characters are true to the format but the controls just aren't tight enough to race with. The controls ruined the gaming experience for me as a player. However if you can get pass that, you may yet enjoy. Pros: Nice graphics Fun characters Cons controls.

ATTENTION: Use tap-to-drift and turn tilt steering ON in the settings menu, otherwise the controls are unusable. Even still, it's not as responsive as the mainline games. That being said, this has probably some of the best gameplay a mobile game can offer - almost on par with a console game. It's just a shame that the microtransactions are so prevalent.

Great idea! Love having a Mario kart with me wherever I go! But keep in mind this will not control as tight as the normal games. The touch screen drift control is a bit loose and that is the only way you can turn if you choose the advanced drift steer option. Having fun with it, may revise this review if there is a touch screen button map update in the future.

I love Mario Kart. I love the fact that they made a mobile game of it. However there needs to be some tighter controls, especially when it comes to the glider parts, I'll move my finger one way and the glider will either move in the opposite direction that I want, move the right way but be janky, or glitch out completely and I crash into things. I also think this would be better if you could have the option to have a joystick in the corner of the screen or something.

Mixed feelings The bad • The controls are highly unintuitive and difficult. You turn by sliding finger to a side, but to turn the other way you need to lift your finger. • Difficult UI to navigate. Settings can be only accessed from a race, and it does not pause. • There's no way to mute the game, only the music. The good • The terrible controls seem to be on purpose. Combining them with the game physics and sound effects it makes the game all the more challenging and addictive.

It is a pretty fun game with interesting and unique characters to unlock. However, I have just a few minor problems with this that could use fixing. 1st: Notifications. Everytime I get a notification, my phone's buttons pop up. This makes it very hard to press the drift button whenever I am in a race. My 2nd point ties into this as well 2nd:Drift button. The drift button in my opinion is too small. If the button was bigger, it would make things better. Overall, can't wait to see improvements!

It is okay. Fun, but the controls SUCK! They are too sensitive and I honestly hate how you have the choice of either drifting or turning, but not both. And some turns on some tracks are hard to drift on. And it is also pretty hard to stay in a straight line. I am not bad at this game, but it makes me feel like I have no control over my character at time and I end up losing because when I want to go on way, my character goes the other way because the controls are really sensitive with the turning

Like a lot of the other reviews I've read, this game handles well, looks pretty, and has well designed tracks. However, the game is extremely pay-to-win. Even if you have the character, kart and glider that gives the most points for a track, getting a higher score than rival racers often comes down to luck. The computer also feels like it's targetting you, exclusively. If you're in it just for racing the levels though, it can be fun.

It still needs some polish, but overall it's still well made and plays much like other Mario Kart games, save for a few limitations (like invisible walls on track edges). My biggest complaint is the fact that drifting and steering are presented as two different control styles; I usually spend most of my time drifting in Mario Kart anyway, but it feels awkward not being able to steer normally in between drifts. I think that adding a separate to "jump" and activate a drift would be best.

This is a great casual Mario Kart experience for mobile devices. It has up to 150cc for free users, the loot box system is forgiving because of how the premium currency is fairly simple to obtain. The portrait gameplay is fine and all but a landscape experience as an option would really help. The controls are easy to get used to but they can be a real pain sometimes. Using manual drift means you can only drift to turn. I think the game is great, it just needs to be ironed out some more.

Please fix the controls and game physics. This is an amazing game but those two things are what hold it back so much. It's hard to get anywhere when your kart doesn't steer until about a half a second after input. This happens on all three of my devices (Bold N1, Essential phone, iPhone 7). I've noticed that the problem is slightly worse on my Android devices so it is definitely a software fix. Thank you

It's a really fun game, I like all of the courses. And the variety of characters. Recently however 9/10 times I open the app it only shows me the black loading screen and this makes it annoying when I wanna make the most of my gold pass. I know I have WiFi and a good data connection, so please fix it???? If not I'll cancel my membership because this is really frustrating.
