The game is fun. At lvl 21 f2p get the ability to compete a bit more with the p2w. Ranking in the leaderboards is definitely the only way to be competitive as a f2p. I do have to say my advice: if you see a ton of p2w people on the enemy team, just quit, staying and letting them kill you, only helps them. Deny them the fun and rewards of the game by just leaving. Unlimited p2w is a terrible business model and almost 100% of the time results in the games eventual death.

Played this game as a kid and absolutely loved it but a while back (after raijin was last on bot shop) the game really got down graded it went from a game that felt really fun and challenging to a game where if you had the best titan or whatever you easily won every match and it took the fun away, it's still a fun game and I recommend it but it's gotten worse over the years

Love it!!!! I've played a tank game for a couple of yrs and couldn't upgrade to bigger tanks unless u won them,,,so with that,,,I was stuck with medium tier tank whare I was the weakest in all the matches,,very frustrating,,,war robots allows easy access to 99% of all robots and weapons,,,don't want to pay for some stuff??? Don't play.

Need to fix the aiming function, The game tries to aim for you and aims at targets you can't hit. Allowing the enemy in front of you to kill you helplessly. Fix this and I'll give you 5 stars again. Otherwise it's not an expensive game to keep up with. Overall fun, just has that aiming glitch

This stings giving a game I've enjoyed due to it's fun, unique and experimental mechanics for years this low of a rating, but it's hard to give anything higher because of all the WR discounts that get blasted all over your face, laggy severs, broken pay to win setups and this weird atmospheric feeling of gambling, as of now I don't believe the game is in a good state though I believe with right changes it'll end up retaining most of its old players. I also miss the "war" feeling.

point of view from a level 29 player. really good game, can have a lot of good games with spending less than 20 quid if ur smart and patient and don't rush into spending. some targeting issues. lots of customisations. doubt will last as a seriously competitive game due to too many end game things to spend on. but this game is still so much fun right now.

You guys got to fix the targeting/aiming. If it's manual targeting then it should be manual targeting! Not me choosing the target and bouncing between all enemies in range. It's not cool when you got the enemy down to almost zero health and then the system forces your aim on another enemy. There goes those points. Or if you're in a close range battle and your aim is everywhere but where you need it...possibility of points is gone there and you end up dead. It's like being set up to fail.

this is great!,.. as long as they stop nerfing the hell out of characters! It's seriously turned into a pay to play along with watching so many ads that you don't feel like playing once the ads are done, yet if you don't watch the ads and shell out money, the advanced weapons are way out of reach. Still love the gameplay, I just have to expect to get my behind handed to me.

Pixonic's approach: 1. Develop intense gameplay. 2. Introduce awesome robots and weapons that cost real money to obtain. 3. Once players have spent enough on the new stuff, downgrade it and introduce newer stuff that costs money, and change the currency with which newer stuff is purchased so players who have earned enough gold, silver, microchips, etc. to get newer stuff can't get it without spending more real money. 4. Repeat steps 2 thru 4.

I've seen pay to win games before, but nothing like this. This is just insane. Such a beautifully constructed game with good graphics and everything going its way, except for the excessive greed shown by the developers. Had to move on, because if you don't spend a fortune, you're no good. Edit: you say I can build a competitive hangar, but my gold has become practically useless with you introducing *yet another* in game currency dedicated to pilots, making them exponentially difficult to ugrad.

Lots to do and upgrade. The graphics are great, and very enjoyable to play. Couple of things though, auto targeting robots that are out of sight is very frustrating and the sound glitches when there's a lot going on. I won't downgrade the review for that though as it's awesome to play.

The game was essentially perfect years ago when it first came out. Still pay to win... but even if you didn't, the matches were still pretty well even. These days, even Titans fall to just regular robots in seconds. The addition of new, overpowered weapons renders your previous purchase meaningless as your old weapons and bots are nerfed into obscurity. Honestly... it's fun to play. Really. But I would think carefully before opening your wallet.

The gaming is good, but EVERYTHING is over priced. It will take you 1/4 a year or so to be able to collect enough "credits" to exchange for the LEAST expensive robot or weapon. The matchmaking is terrible also. Your ranking might be just as high as everyone else in the match but theres a high chance your robot or weapons/upgrades wont. Over all I give it 4/10. The battles are good whenever you have an even match, but I've played other similar games with better odds of winning and weapon upgrade.

the targeting still is terrible.. I don't get it.. you can bombard me with 23 ads to buy stuff yet can't fix the targeting system. You keep making flying bots but don't improve our line of sight firing options. I should be able to look up. I can't. I gotta back up.. which u just die. Ohh and can you put more .99 cents deals some of us are on a budget.. ohh and better deals on microchips too.

Went down to 1 star because they went from spending about 7 gold to use instead of power cells to 150 gold needed to use instead of power cells. It's super pricey to upgrade weapons and robots. You'd have to spend so much money. I went from a 5 star to two stars because they keep modifying it in a way that makes it harder to earn silver, gold, and platinum. Only way to upgrade your robots without spending a year to get them to optimal level is to spend hundreds of dollars on this mobile game.

Absolutely love/addicted to this game! I've been playing War Robots for about 3yrs... like seriously, every day throughout the day, religiously. Only 3 complaints. It takes way too long for upgrades to complete without paying, takes too long for the freebies, and there are not enough battle field's, at least, not on the free version. Overall, download it, and you will not regret it. Has always worked perfectly on all my Android phones.

Pros - Fun once you get into it, large variety of robots and weapons Cons - PAY TO WIN (I understand the business model but the high prices and constant nerfing take a lot away from the game and appear greedy). Match-making is not good, most wins/losses are by a landslide. The cost and time required to upgrade (and certain death if you don't) are what makes me put this game down every time I start getting into it.

Great game, graphics and game play. However the insatiable need to spend money to do well is awful. I applaud the maker on their combination of you can only do well if you spend $150 AUD plus with the ability to buy "tickets" which also adds an online gambling platform aimed at children. I have a clan of 25 people but seriously ready to quit! There are games where it has been 30 to zero in deathmatch where you last 2 seconds before death 6 times over!
