Description of LEGO® Life: kid-safe community

LEGO® Life is a safe, creative social app designed with kids’ learning in mind. Your child can share their creations in the fully moderated community, get inspired and engage with other young LEGO creators using emoticons and moderated text comments in an entirely free and safe social media platform for kids. An educational app nurturing kids’ creativity with awesome LEGO building ideas and decorating challenges, LEGO Life is the ultimate companion for keen LEGO creators, packed with fun videos for kids and fueled by kids’ imaginations.

With LEGO Life kids can:
- Build themselves using the LEGO Minifigure Avatar creator for kids and customize their profile with a safe, anonymous nickname
- Bring their Avatar to life with an augmented reality feature on compatible phones
- Safely upload and share photos of their creations in the LEGO Life community with a one-time account verification by a parent
- Use emoticons and text stickers to chat with other young LEGO creators. Children can make friends in this social media app for kids.
- Discover building tips and hacks to learn how to use LEGO bricks in brand new ways
- Take on exciting LEGO education challenges with building and decorating activities to foster kids’ learning
- Use the kids learning tube to find awesome, kid-safe videos featuring LEGO Harry Potter™, LEGO Star Wars™, LEGO NINJAGO, LEGO Friends, LEGO Minecraft™, LEGO Technic, LEGO City and more!
- Friend their favorite LEGO characters, including LEGO Batman, Anna and Elsa from LEGO Disney Frozen or the LEGO Friends, and follow their posts

Safe social media space for kids to share:
- A completely anonymous, creative app. Create your own avatar and an anonymous profile, to ensure safety, and design your own LEGO minifigure using the Avatar maker for kids.
- Verify your child’s account to control the actions they can perform and unlock the full LEGO Life kids’ learning experience for your child, including features where they can share multiple pictures, watch kids videos or comment with text on LEGO posts. Children can make friends in this social media app for kids. Kids can also communicate in ways that encourage their creativity.
- Account verification is quick, easy and is required once
- All uploads, including children’s videos and text comments, are fully moderated before being approved as safe for kids

I had this app many years ago for my child who loved it! Now I download it onto a new device and we can't get the parent verification to let us past. We keep getting an error message. Tried a new account same thing. Tried the contact us page and it has an error too! We loved the app before but it seems to have issues now. Hope it gets resolved.

It's a cute app, but the UI feels unintuitive at times, the icons are sometimes confusing, and overall the communications features feel rather restrictive. Also, it gets tiring to see posts about the same brick-built brown dog sig-fig, who is obviously just one of the 3-in-1 creator set models, always at the top of the news feed. It would be cooler to see more creative MOCs getting featured.

This app is good and has so much potential, however I'm getting so many "oops, please try again" and "something went wrong" errors. Excellent safety advice and moderation, and no ads. Excellent work with all the other features though.

It's buggy, and really poorly optimized. I have a high end phone from a few years ago and it gets hot to the touch just running this 2D gallery app. Can't be good for battery life. Not that there's much reason you'd want to open it anyway. This app represents LEGO's continuing quest to remove creativity in favor of juniorization. There is no way to communicate with other builders -- comments are limited to a LEGO-approved set of emoji. Is this what they killed the message boards and galleries for? Add them to the long list of things fans loved that LEGO axed for no reason.

I love this app, however, the new "verifty account"/"upgrade" thing isn't working. It's available in my country, but it won't send me the "verification code" to my email. Therefore, I can't continue on with the process. This is very frustrating LEGO, please help! Granite, I love that y'all brought back the friend's posts notifications, but I'm not getting them when I'm off the app. Hopefully u guys can fix this as well.

The photo is downsized and they dont give you a option on what part you want done, cutting some parts of the photo out. You have limited minifigure design options. And I am sick of seeing photo's admited that have nothing to do with Lego but are there because they have some stickers pasted on them. Other bugs plauge the app as well. Over all I like the idea but it needs some drastic improvements to make a good impression on me.

Confusing to navigate and implement various activities. Once you make a mistake it's almost impossible to find out how to correct them. I'm also tired of spending my hard earned money and purchasing a kit that's tied to an app such as "Movie Maker" only to find out they are discontinuing the app!! A total waste of my money and my loyalty to the Lego brand!!!!! There kits are expensive to begin with and their monopoly of prices when they discontinue a kit shortly after...

I really love this app. This app is basically a social media a Lego social media for kids. That's basically what this app is. But there are some things that I wish they added; (by they, I mean Lego;) I wish the added the ability to upload videos because in this app you can upload pictures that you took or take a new picture to upload and add stickers to it which if there were more stickers that would be kind of cool and also I wish that you could add videos like any video that you took or take a video but maybe there would have to be like an amount to how long the video would be and also sometimes when I would go into the Avatar editor like you can make your own minifigure or Lego Friends style minifigure but sometimes it would crash on my phone and also I wish they had the ability for users to create their own groups for other users and also of course with the groups and the videos people would be able to report it if there was anything inappropriate or bad just like anything that people add. But I really like this app, I recommend it if you like Lego and if you like social media.

I've had the app for only a week, but, so far, I like it. I have not been able to find a few of my kid's sets though...just a couple examples - Classic 10696 and Juniors 10673, to be specific...I also tried to search for some of my old sets from the 80s & 90s, which don't appear to be available at this time...hoping there has been some thought to adding these. It would be nice to have pdf's of those instruction manuals as some of my old manuals are very worn or have missing pages.

Love LEGO Life, perfect for sharing photos of my favourite sets as wells as seeing new ideas from others! Simply perfect, and very addictive. My only issue is that I occasionally receive the "Something went wrong" error on the feed, and when trying to upload a new creation I was told I'm not online, even though I definitely was. Please could you help me out?

Great app, been using it since about 2018. I'm always posting, and it's just enjoyable. Although, there's 2 big issues. The moderation is WAY too strict. It will reject posts that are perfectly okay. Sometimes the mods will say the lighting is bad and reject it, when the lighting is perfectly fine. Another big issue is reporting; you can report ANY post, and it is immediately taken down. This has turned into bullying, and making people even uninstall the app.

My child loves it! Its the best way if you have a child that loves lego to communicate with other lego fans .its safe and kid friendly ,i recommend it if you have a child that loves lego and want to communicate with people in a safe way. 10 out if 10

This is a great idea but the app is limited for searching and adding of sets. I could only add like four out of 25 sets. Would love to be able to search on set number and add to sets for my kids instead of having to keep track of all of the instruction manuals. The sign up process is too complex even as trying to set up a joint account for my two kids. it would be a nice feature to allow for multiple profiles on a single device for when you have multiple kids.

This app sucks. The verification system is dodgey as heck, WHY WOULD I GIVE YOU MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER!? It takes so long to set up. And seriously? TO POST PICTURES? OF LEGO'S!?😐

This game is perfect for children everything is safe for kids mainly because all the pictures have to go through the moderators and the moderators have to accept or decline it's a very accepting community and all the art and Lego related things make me and my kid in shock how many kids are enjoying this app I completely recommend it one small issue my kid did try to make a post about Lego figure but it got rejected by the moderators cuz I was too blurry and that is the dumbest thing I ever heard

The app logs me our like every time I open it even if I do have an account. The app takes such a long time to open. But apart from that, it's a good app, and I love that you can actually comment on posts
